Coming Full Circle…

As a retired stock-market investor, I got lucky and inherited a sizeable portion of wealth from a deceased relation. I expanded it via Wall Street trading. A friend suggested me to write my own brief life report. I thought long & hard about something worthwhile and meaningful to write. Finally, I knew what I wanted to write about. I remembered when I first started out in the investment business. I was young and felt so lost. I wish someone had advised me then.

The complete chronicle is over 500 pages long. However, I am going to focus on the three different pointers. I believe these form the basis for each phase of anyone’s life – student, young professional, married with a family.

Before you enter professional life, first, go for TEFL course online. Choose certification to appear in the exams today. This will put you on the right track. Online education is cheaper than the traditional education. Furthermore, these are convenient especially when you are working.  These two are the main advantages of online learning. If you want to earn a degree or certificate, opt for online platforms.

Certification exams provide a measurement of knowledge and skills. When employers are looking to hire this is an important determining factor. It’s good to earn certificates in the field you are interested in. A differentiator to counter the competition. When you go for an interview, the competition is frequently stiff. If you have the certification, as compared to the other person, you have a definite edge.

It also shows to the employer that you are always eager to improve. Learning is a value in itself, and those around you will admire you for it.

1. Don’t Make the End Your Everything

When you are young, you are swaying between extremes of abject failure and worldly success. This is a significant concern when you are trying to prove yourself out there.

In the ‘pursuit of happiness’, you work hard to get through college. Then comes the search for a steady job. Over the years, you lose sight of the fast declining present. Your health, age, human relationships development & other life-experiences diminish.

This is certainly, what happened to me! I did end up achieving almost everything -impressive bank balances, million dollar estates, fine cars- and the usual bling. But, I also managed to miss out a lot.

If I could go back to my younger self, I would take off the ambition hat. I would stop and look around at the world too. I would travel, make more friends, and enjoy life. I would take better care of myself.

2. Be Patient with Money

When I started out as a young investor, I was impatient to increase financial gains fast. Only after losing money on several ill-timed mutual fund schemes, I learned to make more money.

My best investments, in hindsight, have been those that have remained fixed inside company’s shareholders’ vaults for at least a period of 10 years. The bad ones, I chose to liquidate into cash after a few short months.

In retrospect, I should have kept that money invested. Maybe then, I would have a Forbes multi-millionaires profile of my own!

3. Human Relations Are Real Life Investment

Having ambitions is not bad. Nevertheless, when you’re ruthlessly involved in making money, you lose sight of what’s important in life. You become completely indifferent to your family and friends.

To my astonishment, I later found that money alone could not guarantee my personal happiness.  Loneliness would still creep up as a stifling influence on my mind and emotions. I was lonelier than before! My solitary preoccupation with money broke up my marriage. It left my only child estranged from me. He could not stand a father devoid of all endearing emotion and expression.

Therefore, here’s my advice to my younger self, and all young people. Stay out of the rat race. Take a break occasionally. Do not neglect your loved ones even for a day. Because we all need human connections to survive & enjoy our fortunes with.

A final piece of advice for my younger self

There is no way around education. Continuing education is an investment of time & resources. It helps provide recognition for your specialized skill set and knowledge. When it comes to landing certain jobs and positions like teach English in China your level of education can be a significant benefit!

I am joy and joy is me.

I am bless and bless is me. I am love and love is me. I am abundance and abundance is me. I am prosperity and prosperity is me. I am happiness and happiness is me. I am strong and strong is me. I am powerful and powerful is me. I am success and success is me. I am beauty and beauty is me. I am peace and peace is me.

I am inspiration and inspiration is me.

I am thankfulness and thankfulness is me. I am freedom and freedom is me. I am vitality and vitality is me. I am perfection and perfection is me. I am gorgeous and gorgeous is me. I am ready and ready is me. I am kindness and kindness is me. I am self-respect and self-respect is me.

When we could be only happiness, then we will feel only happiness.

We would receive only happiness since only happiness we would recognize. We would attract only happiness. Only happiness would stick to us. We would be a form that holds only happiness. To all other feelings we would just remain immune.

We would give only happiness to others. We could not give anything else. We could not give nothing since all the time we would give happiness. We could not stop ourselves from not giving happiness to all the people, no matter their age, language, skin color, social status, disabilities, abilities, level of studies, thinking. Because we would be only Happiness.

A man said to the Buddha, “I want Happiness.”

Buddha said, first remove “I”, that’s ego,

then remove “want”, that’s desire.

See now you are left with only Happiness.

Let’s think empowering thoughts…

… and fill ourselves with happiness so that we overflow with happiness at least three times a day. We give happiness to others when we overflow from within ourselves with happiness. That means we would feel, in almost every corner of our inner self, the feeling of happiness, and then more. More means that we multiply our happiness.

We multiply our happiness when we feel grateful while we feel the feeling of happiness. Therefore to overflow with happiness we need a simple reason for being happy and practice gratitude simultaneous. When you overflow with happiness, you are happiness and happiness is you.

The same process applies to everything else. To overflow with love, first you start practicing feeling the love and then you multiply that feeling by being grateful. When you overflow with love, you are Love and Love is you. A little secret to help you start practicing Love is: start practicing kindness, then loving-kindness, then you pass to feeling the Love.

Albert Einstein said: “Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them.”

I believe that the awareness of a certain word makes you feel that word.

Therefore, when you are aware of a problem, first transform your level of awareness and then, try to solve that awareness. Most of the time, when you have an emotional struggle, the main reason is because you are focusing too much on a certain negative word.

For the moment, you find yourself located at the level of awareness of that negative word. The solution is to develop your awareness for the positive word, which is the opposite of the negative word.

The transition can be made with the below Step 2, where you are negating the positive world, you are saying not together with the positive word. Therefore you can jump through levels that take you to the positive feeling represented by the positive word, when you start from the negative feeling represented by the negative word, by taking the following simple steps:

Step 1) Name a single word for your negative emotion.

This is the easiest part because you are complaining about it in your mind, so you know what you are struggling with. For example name it like: sad, angry, mad, complaining. Then acknowledge it saying: “I am sad. I feel sad.”

But, don’t stay too much in this state of awareness. Take the next step 2.

Step 2) Replace the negative word with two words, composed of not and the opposite of the negative word.

For sad we have happy, therefore you will have not happy.  Spend some time by focusing on these words. You can repeat to yourself: “I am not happy. I don`t feel happy.”

Then, think at the information stored in your mind related to what not happy means to you. In this stage, you will see that your brain will come with a list of happy things that you lack in the moment. This is precisely what you need. You can write it down and look at your treasure.

The list is a treasure because now you have a list with things that make you happy and you can start doing them and start being happy. But before going through the list, make step 3 also.

Step 3) Start repeating in your mind only the positive word, without not.

In our example you can say the word happy. You can also say happiness.  Say in your mind the words at least 35 times, and then increase the reinforcement to 40, 60, 100, 200, 400, 1000 times until it makes sense to you, until your brain starts to reflect and focus on these words.

To make it easier and more powerful, write it down on a piece of paper. You can write the word happiness as many times as you need, until you feel the awareness of the word. Write it with big letters (this always has the biggest impact) and even in different colors.

I strongly believe that not what we say to ourselves troubles us so much, but what we don’t say to ourselves is troubling us, especially when we need to hear certain words in our consciousness. Most of the time we all search the feeling of relief, and in this way you can offer to yourself some self-relief.

If you do not know and really understand what a positive word stands for…

… then look it up in the dictionary, research it on internet and read articles and books about that word (there are many books about loving-kindness, acceptance, gratitude, equanimity, warm-heartedness, self-love, relief, abundance, peace of mind, mindfulness, confidence, happiness).

If you do not know positive words then put positive words in google and click on the first list that comes in your search. It is the list of positive words that I’ve created and published on Positive Words Research, the website that I founded at the beginning of 2013. Inspire yourself from this list whenever you feel you need a positive word.

A sentence is an accumulation of words.

When we grow up we need to take the responsibility of being our own teachers. And when a positive word weakens in our mind, we need to give ourselves the task to reinforce that word.

Except writing the word, a more powerful way to reinforce the word “happiness” in your mind is for you to start researching on the word happiness.

Increase your awareness by reading articles on the Internet about the word happiness. Read books about happiness. There are a lot these days. Find and learn all the positive words that are connected to the word happiness. There are so unbelievably many related words to happiness.

“Well, you know, a lot of people look at the negative things, the things that they did wrong and – which I do. But I like to stress on the things I did right, because there are certain things that I like to look at from a positive standpoint that are just positive reinforcement.” – Tiger Woods

This book contains positive affirmations that make you feel happy. I recommend you to read throughout the chapters, taking each sentence, one by one. The sentences are arranged in a certain serene flow but can also be read separately.

The writing of this book has begun with my daily writings. I let God cancel these programs and memories that have manifested disease… dis-ease in my body. I let the Holy Spirit cancel, delete, uncreate and di-story (take the story out of it) throughout all times, space and realities, dimensions or any other levels or realms, all these programs and memories that have manifested dis-ease in my body. My sorry is completely received. My forgiveness is completely received. My love is completely received. My thankfulness is completely received. The work is done. The programs and memories are completely deleted, uncreated and di-storied. In that place is now empty space. Space is created. I have just created space in that place. And it will be filled with Pure Love and Light. I love being healthy. Thank you for my health. May all be forgiven for all humanity. May we all be healthy.

Today I will write a gratitude and appreciation letter to myself. Gratitude is a very high vibrational energy.

As I write my grateful and appreciative thoughts I will summon and attract the energy of gratitude and appreciation. I remember Rumi said: what you seek, is seeking you. Therefore, I now seek gratitude and know that gratitude is seeking me.

I am sincerely grateful for every detail of my life. I am sincerely grateful for every detail, small or big, of my present life.

I am sincerely grateful and I appreciate fully my past. I love my future and the future loves me.

I feel grateful for my body, job, mother, father, brother, lover, house, good friends, money, clothes, food, my age. There are so many things connected with me. I feel grateful for how the Earth looks while I am alive. I am grateful for Earth. I am grateful for myself. I am grateful for my body, spirit, soul, mind. I am grateful and I appreciate my thoughts. I accept all of my thoughts. I accept and approve of myself. Life loves me. All my diseases hold a true blessing inside them. Every disease that I have is a true blessing for me. Every suffering that I feel is a blessing in disguise.

I feel blessed to live the life that I am living in. I feel blessed to breathe air. I am a miracle. Breathing air is enough and I am grateful for this.

The brain is the only instrument in the world that can receive and transmit thoughts and I also have one. My brain is an extraordinary organ and I am grateful for having it. I allow light to flow freely through every organ of my body. I love my body and my body loves me.

There is a lot of love between me and these people and together we are creating the world worth living in. Together we are contributing to the kindness of the word. Hi, my name is Elena and I am the founder of Positive Words Research.

Here are some positive things I say to myself:

Hope:  Eventually things work out.

Blessed Joy:  You are now blessed with Joy, Loving-kindness, Gratitude, Appreciation and Well-being.

Fabulous:  Something fabulous is happening now somewhere in the world. I wonder what?

Light:  ☀️ There is only light and lack of light.

Luck:  🍀 Luck favors the prepared mind.

Self-love:  I love myself. Yes completely.

Love: I love people, but people super love me.

Alive, Success, Chances:   Yes you can have success. As long as you are alive, your success chances are, in anything you want, no doubt about it, above 0%. Only when you will be dead, your success chances will decrease to 0%. But I always say: because God is having my back, my success chances are close to 1 million %.

Happiness, Connect, Appreciation, Awareness:   If you cannot contribute to the happiness of a person, at least appreciate it, do not put effort to decrease it so that after, you ask forgiveness. Connecting with someone is not as important as the happiness of another. Anyway, we are all already connected. Allow people to be happy and practice the art of appreciation. And if you want to connect, connect to appreciate. Don’t be afraid to give feedback but give it using appreciation. And something else, appreciation comes from awareness.

Safe:   It is safe to open my heart and connect with others.

Gift:  I am a gift to the world.

Acceptance:  I accept myself unconditionally and fully.

Self-forgiveness:  I forgive myself for everything from my past, present and future. I consider that I am forgiven by all other people, life and God.

Abundance:  We live in heaven on Earth. Abundance is everywhere on Earth. Awareness and choice in the present moment make me realize this truth.

Loving-kindness:  Love is loving-kindness. Loving-kindness is kindness. Therefore love is always kindness. All that is not kindness, is not love.

God:  God is everything, including me.

Heart:   I connect with my heart and with the hearts of other people alive now on Earth. Billions of hearts beating in the same time. Including mine.

Enough: I am always enough. Every day I am enough, regardless of my health, successes, happiness level, wealth, thoughts.

Let-go:  I let-go of everything until today. There are all only concepts.

Well-being:   There is only a river of well-being pouring over me at all times.

Happiness:   I am happiness.

Health:   I love my body. I bless it with pure love and light. Health is my wealth.

Grateful:  I am grateful for the air I breath now.

Life:   Only because I exist now and breath in this world I have done my work. I am my purpose and I am already here.

Relief:  No matter what happens in a day, as long as I live, the end is always the same. I go to sleep.

Positivity:   I am for positivity, not against negativity. I allow everything to exist. I am not God, just a part of Him, doing work in my part, adding energy to the things I love, that inspire me, make me feel alive. I have this right, because I am here.

Contrast, Life, Perfect: I appreciate the contrast of life. For example people say I am not perfect but I AM PERFECT. And so are they, but they say they’re not. If I would tell them what else I AM… hmmm they would probably… be happy for me

Love:  Stay in love vibration.

Trust:  Trust yourself – you can do this. There is no way you can fail unless you choose to not show up, or choose to not do the work.

Given:  I’ve already been given everything.

Grateful, Precious:   I am grateful for myself, I am a human precious for the entire universe.

Future:  Whatever I’m thinking about is literately like planning a future event. – from Abraham-Hicks

Positive words:  Focus on positive words by researching them and you will feel amazing and always find the answers that you are looking for.

Connecting the dots:  You cannot connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect the dots looking backwards.

Heart:  Follow the desire of your heart! When you follow the desire of your heart, everything else shows up.

Life:  Why? For more Life. This is the reason why all happens. For more growth of life.

Success:  FOCUS / DECIDE / FOLLOW THROUGH

Deserve:  I so deserve happiness and abundance. We all do. I allow this energy. Easy and happy actions. Rewarding actions.

Fun:   I am here on Earth to have a lot of love and fun.
