Love is an Action Movement Project Made With Passion

The project Love is an Action Movement joins together people inspired by Love.

In the last year, I’ve watched as negative news, actions and images have overtaken our social media platforms and our news outlets.  I watched devastated as families were torn apart, friendships severed, fear, hopelessness, and discouragement among other things further engulfed our world.  I felt strongly that something had to be done,  but what could I do? I am only one person.

It seems as if we as a people have forgotten who LOVE is and how to express it properly.

Love is Action Movement

The “Love is an Action Movement” is to remind the world about what Love means according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and how love is expressed according to 1 John 3:18.

What do I want from you?

A few moments of your time…. and a request that you would use the hashtag #LIAAmovement; #/@sweetstartministriesinc along with your own hashtags when posting positive images, quotes,  kind acts, and videos. Together we can begin to shift what we see in our social platforms from negative to positive.

Love can not be censored or banned. It is a universal language.

Social media as you know is a tool. Like all things, it can be used negatively or positively. This is where I’m starting,  shifting the focus and pushing back the darkness.

Love is an Action Movement

By the way,  this isn’t to cover or ignore issues that need to be addressed. It’s simply to be the light we were called to be,  to shine the light and love of Jesus in a world that’s getting darker by the second.

Our Love Rocks are being placed in parks,  walking trails, and anywhere that’s populated with people.  The idea is to get these rocks moving from city to city,  state to state, and country to country. This is a way to spread the message that Love is an Action.  Check out our website Sweet Start Ministries. Every day is a brand new start so begin again with an open heart!

Will you join me?

In Ecclesiastes 4:9,10 the bible states, “Two are better than one because they can help each other succeed. If one falls down, his companion can lift him up but woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up”.

Love is an action, not just a word. So many times we say we love others but our actions say something different. When we say we love others what does it mean?

Love is an Action Movement

The Bible defines love as this…

1 Corinthians 13:4 – LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, hopes, and preserves. Love never fails.

In 1 John 3:11 we are commanded to love one another. Love is active, demonstrative and responsive.

The lack of love in this world is causing darkness and cold-heartedness to spread far and wide. We need to be the light of the world by showing godly love as 1Corinthians 13: 4-8 defines it. The bible says GOD IS LOVE.

3 things to join this movement:

1. Use #LIAAMovement and #sweetstartministries on all your positive images, videos, and post.

2. Participate in Love Rocks!

3. Spread the Word!

Encouragement, affirmation and love is something we need to thrive in this life. The goal of the project Love is an Action Movement is to offer these three elements to everyone within our reach. Love is a universal language and we intend to show it in word and in action consistently.

Love is Action Movement: The Word Rocks Project Inspiration

I truly believe in the power of love and kindness. This power is the reason for which every day, in the past five years, I’ve been painting #wordrocks and scattering them everywhere for people to find.

Almost five years ago, my son Antonio created Word Rocks Project. He was only ten years old at that time and willing to leave some joy around to make people smile. We never expected the idea to grow that much. But it did. We are all over the world now. And we keep trying to make people happy through our message rocks.

I always have them with me. No matter if it’s walking my dogs, Sgt. Pepper and Hey Jude, or doing groceries,if it’s mailing a letter or having a coffee with a friend. Sometimes I pass by a playground and will pull over the car to leave a wordrock. I will always find a nice spot to surprise someone.

Many people have found amazing comfort and encouragement at the exact right time in running into one of these rocks and being able to keep them as their own.

Knowing that random acts of kindness can bring so much for people, I was encouraged to expand my ideas. Love notes, golden tiny fairies, sparkle unicorns, autumn leaves, messages in recycled med bottles. So many ideas! Energy flows where attention goes. I turned my heart to leave these love messages and love keeps flowing.

Not a long time ago, I created another project: Love it, Forward List. In few words: every time I get to know someone who is going through a hard time I send a mail to my #loveitforwardlist volunteers explaining what is going on with this person. So they start to “lovebomb”  the person, with letters, cards and a lot of other amazing love things. Right now I have 2.000 volunteers writing the letters with me.

In this world that is so digital, the power of a handwriting letter is amazing. So, can you imagine when someone receives a couple of letters full of encouragement? The feeling just lifts them up, brings them pure healing joy.

Every day I learn with this project. The world is full – very full – of people in need of love. Or affection. In need of attention and comfort. And this has been a great and deep lesson in my life. It’s wonderful how the rocks have connected me with people around the world I would never have known otherwise.

It fills my heart daily that with a simple act of kindness I am bringing positive feelings to people. I truly believe that when you open your heart to a greater love, everything makes sense, and life becomes more beautiful As I always like to say: love shared is love multiplied.

Awesome 200 Positive Words and Phrases For Word Rocks

I was navigating on Pinterest and I saw an amazing post pinned called Word Rocks “Amazing list of 200 positive words and phrases. Great for teachers, parents, and students.” written by Jamey Ekins. In this post, Jamey wrote a story in which two little girls painted some rocks with positive words and spread happiness all around them. The pictures of the two girls and the rocks with positive words are so beautiful. You need to see them! The positive words that you will find in the pictures, with the two lovely little girls and the painted rocks, are Joy, Compassion, Inspire, Laugh, Believe, Make a wish, Be kind, Be happy, Hope, Smile, Forgive, Miracles, Love.

Super mega awesome!

Jamey assembled this great list of 200 positive words and sayings that you can print and use it in your projects.

I researched more and found an amazing very inspiring project made by Carolina Marques and her son Antonio Monteiro. They both paint rocks with positive words and then they leave for free the rocks on the street to be found by random people. All they ask in return is a picture with the rocks, once someone finds them.

You can also do this!

It is actually easy. All you need to do if paint several rocks with inspirational words and leave them at random places for people to find. In this way, you will do a random act of kindness and spread love and happiness.
