Much Ado About Success: Possible For Everyone?

Much Ado about Success: Possible for Everyone?

Success! What an overused, misunderstood word!

Many motivational speakers speak about what produces success. They promote varied ideas to gain it, such as writing goals, developing self-confidence, setting minds on objectives, etc. But they don’t tell what success is!

Yes, writing goals is helpful — and keeping them in front of us. Rewriting them, adjusting them, is part of that. Today, writing goals is especially helpful because of countless distractions around us, especially the non-factual.

Yet, at least one successful person never wrote down goals. Rush Limbaugh said he’s never done that—and none can claim he’s not successful in his arena, no matter our political persuasion. So, writing goals isn’t a requisite.

Self-confidence and self-esteem

Developing better self-confidence is helpful. But, the current practice of giving unwarranted ‘rewards’ for just competing causes confusion, not confidence. Plus, the culture’s habit of name-calling when people stand up for something or someone damages confidence. Yet, thinking we need to tell ourselves how smart or talented we are or how we can do something better than another isn’t the answer, either. We know within ourselves if we are smart or talented, and to compare ourselves to others is pointless.

Nothing builds self-esteem more than striving for, and doing, good — and doing what is right, despite risks. Seeking goodness, utilizing our talents in the best ways, helping others, all help us see our true worth, which develops our confidence and happiness! It may seem odd initially, but self-esteem increases humility which is attractive! Why else seek humility?

St Augustine said, “It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.” St Augustine was a learned man, a theologian, a philosopher, an influential man in his era and today. Could he be right?

Patience and Goals

Now, setting our minds on our ultimate objectives is important. Yet, if the goal is a long-range goal, (the best ones are!), we need the patience to live with the delay, not get discouraged and stay focused. Why else seek patience?

Psychologists report that patience is power, born of understanding! So, we grow in internal strength and endurance, making life easier, and making our bodies healthier!

Of course, for ‘believers,’ prayer is powerful for goal assistance, though we don’t always see the effect. One thing, for sure: prayer never hurts!

Our own kind of success

But striving for/gaining success is never good when it’s a result of ‘walking on others.’ If we leave a trail behind us of people hurting because of our activities/words, then that’s fake success. It cannot produce goodness but results in a rotten tree that produces rotten fruit. We may obtain more money, more power, more prestige. But in truth, we’ll be a failure. Looking inside ourselves, if we’re honest, we cannot feel good about obtaining gain through others’ losses. Though we may try to puff ourselves up, ignore our faults, and forget others’ pain, we will ultimately find misery from guilt.

If we experienced harm through someone rising in rank due to unethical practices or injustice, we cannot let ourselves sink to the same level. We can find our own success, no matter where we are, what our status is, how much we make.

Ingenuity

In addition, we don’t find success via mandated to-do lists. Without freedom of using our ingenuity, we may accomplish tasks, but not find success in them. Likewise, if we mandate others, that doesn’t create success for us or them.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. I’m no expert and I’ve not made millions or even hundreds giving advice on success. I’ve only advised teams, in several companies, and I was ‘in the trenches with them,’ working for their successes as well as mine. Most of this is based on a combination of common sense, experience as a manager and an underlying, referring to wise leaders, and studying ‘success.’

So, what is ‘success?’

‘To each, his own!’ We can be successful in challenging conversations. We can find success in difficult projects. We can appreciate success in our hobbies.

There are different degrees, different types, of success. We’re only failures if we quit trying. The famous Zig Ziglar said, “Failure is an event, not a person.” So, when we persist, we’re being successful in advancing toward our goals!

So, perhaps ‘success’ is simply found in setting our minds on goals, being patient, and doing good in helping others in the meantime!

Consider a poor, old woman who begged for food and money. She said, “When you don’t have anything, then you have everything.” Sound like success? Hint:  She didn’t beg for herself.

Actions speak for themselves

Mother Teresa served others/ loved everyone through her words and actions. She served the lowly, the dying, the dirty, never thinking about herself. In her humble work in an obscure location, was she successful?

She received the Nobel Peace Prize for spreading love, and 120 other awards/ honors, including the highest U.S. civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. But she would not claim success, only continual efforts.

Mother Teresa made powerful statements, relevant here:

If you’re kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you do good today, people forget it tomorrow. Do good anyway.

If you do your best, it will never be enough. Do your best anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some will be jealous. Be happy anyway.

If you’re successful, you’ll win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

There’s not much to be said after that!

Take Your Life Back: 5 Signs Your Work Is Stealing You From Your Family

family

You come home from work. And you feel tired.
Because you really are. It feels like you have a soul-sucking job that eats you alive. You die a little every day at your office.
The workload is crazy, the pressure is insane and if you just take one moment to rest, you will fall behind.

To cope with all the challenges and demanding bosses, you bring your work home, trying to complete everything and impress the whole company.
You put your mask on every time you get out of the house. Nod and smile at work to build connection and relationship. You even go out with your coworkers sometimes, just to get your connection going.

However, you are too tired by the time you get home

And you really don’t have any energy left.
Your home is the only place you can be yourself. So if tired, you let your family know that. If you are busy, you let your family know that you are busy. So that they will leave you alone.

However, once they get used to it, you will no longer play an important part in their lives anymore. Before you know it, a solid wall between you and your family has been built. And before you know it, you retire and you are all alone, just like you wished tens of years ago.

You don’t want that to happen, do you?

We all want our families and friends to be with us, stay with us forever. But are you really acting that way? Or you let your job become a wall between you and them?

Here are 5 signs your job is stealing you from your family.

1. You roll your eyes when someone talks about work-life balance

Work-life balance is a term that people talk about a lot. But that term is not applicable to you. If you have work-life balance, who is going to finish that project, who is going to complete that job, and who is going to get the promotion? Not you for sure.

So, screw work-life balance. Your life can wait, can’t it?
This is an example of a workaholic. You might be a workaholic if you think that way about work-life balance.

It is easy for you to deter your life to the future when you first start your career, but it is not okay for the family. Your family is not going to be the same forever. Your children will grow up and leave the house. Before you realize, you don’t have that much time with family. It is vital maintaining balance unless you want your work to be your life.

2. You start working before dawn and come back home after your family falls asleep

It’s not that you are madly in love with your job, but it’s because you are too busy. If you don’t slowly kill yourself to work every day, you will fall behind.

To make sure you are catching up with your work, which is increasing every day, you have to start working before dawn and only come home after your whole family is asleep.

In fact, you don’t talk to your family more than 5 sentences a day. You see your co-workers’ faces so much more than seeing your children.

3. You say no to family occasions to focus on your work

It is harder and harder to arrange a trip with your family, to stay away from your work for a while. You don’t know when it started. But every time you want to go on a trip with your family, something urgent comes up at work and only you know how to solve the problem.

You don’t remember the last time you went to see your children’s play at school, last time you have a romantic night out with your spouse because you are working all the time.

4. You feel like your family doesn’t support you

Nonetheless, you will feel resentful toward your family because you start to hear their complaints about you not spending time with them. You feel like they don’t understand.

You are doing this for them, because of them. They are on top of your priority. But why don’t they see it that way?

The thing is, you might mean well and they are truly the reasons why you work so hard to provide for them. But what you are doing doesn’t make them feel that way.

5. If you sit with your family, you don’t know what else rather than your job to walk about

Because you don’t have time to get out there and live your life because you are trapped in your job. You are very talkative when it comes to job-related matters. However, you fall out of the loop when you try to have a normal conversation with your family.

You don’t know the movie they are talking about because you don’t watch movies. Also, you don’t know the name of your kids’ best friends because you never talk to them.

It seems that you don’t understand what they say and they are not interested in what you have to say. You weren’t born to work. You were born to live a worthy life.

Don’t let your work get in the way of your life. Don’t use your work as an excuse for not having enough time to love and be loved.

When you are sick and tired, your job is not there for you. When you are vulnerable and lonely, your job doesn’t cheer you up. When you are on your deathbed, your job is not there, holding your hand and be with you until your last breath.

So don’t make your job the top priority in your life. Family comes first.

If you are guilty of letting your job steal you from your family, don’t stay late at work, don’t bring work back home. Get off and go home on time. And make sure you smile, laugh and appreciate your family for always being there for you.

5 Signs You Are Giving Up On Your Dreams

dreams

Some people are just so lucky.
They seem to know what they want in life since they were kids. They work their ways to do things that make them happy. Also, receive support from their families and friends.

These people become extraordinary in their fields. They love their works and people love them, give them so much attention.

It sucks right? Because life seems so unfair.

While they know exactly who they want to become, you cannot even imagine how you will be in 5 years. Yes, you still remember the childish dream when you were a kid, but come on, who can make a living out of it?

Plus, even if you want to pursue it, it’s too late now. You are already settled down. You don’t like your job but at least it pays you. You have a family to support, you cannot be reckless and risk it all.

Yes, one day you will be working on your dream. It’s just not today. You are way too busy and occupied right now.

When is that “one day”? You don’t know yet. But “one day” you will do it.

What do those successful people know that you don’t?

Not all successful people were born blessed and lucky like you imagined. Many of them struggled in the past, many of them had their own sad stories. Some of them thought of giving up more than one time.

But they have something in common.

They don’t give up on their dream and do everything they can to pursue it.

Do you have that?

Yes, you have a dream. You are passionate about it. Yes, you decided to pursue it. But you decided to work on it “one day”. They are working on their dreams now.

Instead of making excuses to delay it, they decided to work right away.

Do you want to know if you still have the mindset of “almost successful” people? Here are 5 signs that you are giving up on your dream. Tell me, how many of them are you guilty of?

1. Your “should do” list becomes more important than your “want to do”

You know that working and achieving your dream takes time. A very long time indeed. You don’t know if it will be 5 years, 10 years or even 20 years.

Since it is so far away in the future, it can wait a little longer. Because you are busy right now.

You have a long list of things you should do. And you have to do them right away because they are urgent. So “now” is just not a good time.

The more you delay it, the less important your dream become. Your daily chores and errands can even come before your dream.

2. The “I am fine” syndrome

How are you feeling exactly? Frustrated, depressed because of your reality or you are feeling okay and “not too bad”?

Let me tell you about the frog boiling experiment.

If you put a frog into the hot boiled water, it will jump immediately. But if you put it into cold water and cook the water slowly, the frog will stay put until it dies.

The more you get comfortable with the situation you are in, the less chance you have to step out of your comfort zone to get what you really want. Before you know it, your dream is dead without any jumping!

3. You compare yourself with less fortunate people

You often compare yourself with other people. You get jealous and anxious when you see how perfectly talented and happy people are. You become frustrated and think of yourself as a victim.

To get over this feeling, you then decide to compare yourself with less fortunate people. But it’s not because you appreciate your life the way it is. It’s because it makes you feel better about yourself and the situation you are in.

It’s easy to compare yourself with your peers, realizing they are doing worse than you and stop trying to achieve your goals because what you have today is enough.

4. You are not willing to give up other things in your life

Following your dreams is a hard work. It requires commitment and sacrifices. And you are just not ready for it yet.

Do you love watching movies? You can watch series after series for hours. However, you are not ready to stop yet.

Do you love going out to relax at night after work? You are not ready to go home and start studying yet.

Maybe you love traveling. You are not ready to bring your work with you when you travel, and you are not ready to give up traveling yet.

There are many things you love to do, and suddenly they become so important that you feel regretful giving them up. So instead, you put a hold on your dreams, because they are so far away after all.

5. You doubt your dreams

The more you spend the time to think about your dreams, the more unrealistic it becomes. The more you plan it, the more uncertain it becomes. As a consequence, the more you talk about it, the sillier it becomes.

The truth is, it might not have any problem with your dreams and your plan. But in fact, you are doubting yourself.

What you are doing is not planning, it is making excuses and convincing yourself to give up.

Don’t spend your life thinking “what if”

You are ambitious and talented. You might not believe it but you have what it takes to succeed.

Only if you stay with it.

Yes, it is hard, it is painful when you follow your dreams. You will have to sacrifice many hobbies, many chances to have a good time. You will feel vulnerable, scared and excited at the same time.

Only if you stay with it.

Life is short. Don’t spend your life thinking “what if” and regret later.

Your dream is your baby. Your dream is still inside you, screaming and trying to get out and see the light. Give it a chance. Give yourself a chance and go for it.

So stop making excuses, and let’s do it. Together. Right now.

How to Look Stunning Before Valentine’s Day. 6 Easy Life Hacks

How to look stunning before Valentine's Day

Winter season is often an obstacle course of stressors. But it is not only the most wonderful time of the year but most social, Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day. How to look stunning? Many people will make the extra effort to look amazing and stand out from the crowd.  And there is no need to lie down under the knife to look good on selfies and impress your loved one. Just make sure you follow these hacks to improve your beauty and let the good times roll.

Below are 6 easy life hacks that will leave looking stunning before and after Valentine’s Day.

How to Look Stunning Before Valentine’s Day. 6 Easy Life Hacks

Use essential oils on skin

If you want to look stunning before Valentine’s Day, begin with proper skin care. Use oils even if you didn’t do it before. The best essential oils for skin are those that are best suited for your skin type. Lavender oil is one of the most versatile essential oils and can be used for any type of skin. Try whipping a body butter and homemade toner.

When you rush through your routine or skip necessary steps for caring for the skin you may end up with unhealthy looking skin during winter holidays. Sagging skin, wrinkles, age spots, and dull skin are some of the signs of aging skin. Maintaining a clean regimen that removes makeup and dirt can help you achieve a healthy skin and look stunning ahead of the holidays. Start with a cleansing base such as Olive, Argan, Sunflower, Jojoba, and Avacado then add 1-2 drops of essential oil such as Lavender, Clary Sage, Rose oil, Bergamot oil, or Geranium oil.

Drink enough water

Research shows that water is the second most popular beverage in the U.S after soft drinks. Roughly 60% of our body is made up of water so drinking enough water helps balance our body fluids. If you are looking to lose a few pounds before Valentine’s Day drinking water can help you.

Numerous studies have found a connection between drinking water and losing a few pounds. This is because water makes people feel full and as a result, you are likely to consume fewer calories. Water helps keep the body hydrated which helps the heart to pump more blood to the muscles through the blood vessels. As a result, muscles work efficiently which causes fat to dissolve in the body resulting in a slimmer body shape.

Drink warm water with lemon every morning

The biggest benefit of lemon water is probably the temperature of the water and not necessarily the lemon added to it. Drinking warm water with lemon the first thing in the morning helps flush your system and improve digestion. Studies suggest that lemon juice can help stimulate proper acid production and bile production.

Lemon contains vitamin C and potassium and drinking warm water in the morning gives your body the chance to absorb these vitamins effectively. Vitamin C is also good for reducing stress and lemon water can lead to cleaner skin and it also needed for collagen production for a smooth, healthy skin.

Whiten your teeth

If you want to have a bright smile over the holiday but don’t want to use chemicals there are many options that are both natural and safe. One of them is oil pulling a traditional Indian folk remedy meant to improve oral hygiene and remove toxins from the body.

This practice involves swishing oil around in your mouth to remove bacteria, which can turn into plaque and cause your teeth to look yellow. Any oil will work but coconut oil is a much popular choice because it has a pleasant taste and offers many additional health benefits. Studies suggest that daily pulling effectively reduces bacteria in the mouth along with plaque and gingivitis.

  • Secret Method – To oil pull, put one tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth and push and pull oil through your teeth. Continue the process for a full 15-20 minutes. Remember to spit the coconut oil as it returns to solid form once in your drain and cause a clog.

Body scrub

Exfoliating before Valentine’s Day will make your skin look smooth and more beautiful. Most people only remember to exfoliate their face but regular body scrub can have health effects and improve the appearance of your skin. Without regular exfoliating, you may end up with clogged pores which block moisture from getting into the deeper layers. This may create a hard unattractive exterior.

Exfoliation is the key to getting the healthiest and smoothest skin possible before Valentine’s Day. Below are the benefits you will get from exfoliating your body about four times a week:

  • You will enjoy a smoother healthier skin
  • Reduce the chance of breakout on your face and back
  • You’ll get smoother elbows
  • Allow moisture to penetrate better
  • Reduce stress

Get rid of skin tags

You may need to find a way to naturally get rid of skin tags fast so you can have a glowing smooth skin before the holidays. Be careful when you are removing tags yourself because if irritated they be infected and very painful.

You can use garlic which has very active medicinal properties to get rid of tags. Garlic contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties which are very effective in removing tags and wart. Apple cider vinegar is also great. It works by dehydrating the tag continuously until it dries off and falls off your skin. Iodine is also known to dry off parts of the skin it is applied to and makes them fall off after several applications. Note that tags will not develop into cancer if left untreated.

Valentine's Day

Conclusion

With work beginning the year parties, soul-mates get together and go on a romantic trip. It is quite understandable that majority of us want to look our best on this important day.  Anyone of the above methods will help you look stunning. But only your sincere smile makes his eyes shine brighter.

How to Ask for (and Get) Everything You Want

how to ask

The universe that we live in contains vast conceivable outcomes, innovativeness, information, and life. With a specific end goal to bring life into peace, there must be general laws. The best widespread law is the law of fascination. Universe has made numerous frameworks to show a man’s most profound wants.

Each individual has a condition of awareness, which goes about as the ideal device to execute the law of fascination and show wants. Want can’t just take birth. It takes the correct personality and the correct edge to show it. It accompanies energy as most noteworthy insight and mindfulness stands to protect to its introduction to the world.

As indicated by the Rolling Stones great melody, you can’t generally get what you need. On the off chance that you can’t get what you need, you’re additionally far-fetched to get what you require. As newborn children, we do get what we need in the event that we holler noisily enough. Be that as it may, grown-ups who have fits when they’re feeling denied are probably not going to have their need’s fulfilled. We depend on the scholarly examples of conduct that, prompted the outcomes that most nearly fill our requirements.

Advertisers make their living by alluring us to need what we don’t really require. For those items and administrations that we do require, their activity is to influence us to need what they are offering. Fruitful advertisers are the ones who have refined the specialty of inspiring individuals to state “yes” to a multi-billion dollar a year science.

With such an extensive level of our lives spent asking for cash, extraordinary treatment, and favors from others, doubtlessly we would all profit by knowing the key to having our needs satisfied. I have assembled this rundown of 6 methodologies that ought to get you the “yes” answer you might want, paying little respect to the circumstance. Learn how to ask what you need and want.

1. Make your demand sensible

In the purported “foot-in-the-entryway” strategy, individuals endeavoring to motivate you to state “yes” approach you for some extensive support or measure of cash to which they’re really sure you’ll say “no. For example, charging $1,000 to a philanthropy occasion. At that point, they line this up with a substantially littler demand ($25), which is the sum they were really wanting to get from you.

With a specific end goal to abstain from appearing to be shabby or unfeeling, you consent to the little sum. The hypothesis is that by beginning with the absurdly huge demand, the genuine sum they need from you is small in the examination. In spite of the fact that this can be a powerful advertising methodology, it can blowback, particularly in individual connections.

2. Try not to heap on the reasons

Talking about philanthropy gifts, investigate by Dartmouth therapist Daniel Feiler and associates (2012) demonstrated that graduated class will probably offer cash to their institute of matriculation when given a solitary reason for the demand.

The graduated class approached to give for philanthropic reasons (to help other people) or selfish reasons (to enable them to feel good), gave twice to such an extent, by and large, as graduated class approached to give for both unselfish and proud reasons.

Discover one motivation to make your demand, and give that the greatest play conceivable with a specific end goal to guarantee that you’ll receive a positive reaction consequently.

3. Tell yourself you’re justified, despite all the trouble

Investigations of ladies who are hesitant to request increases in salary demonstrate that they feel that, where it counts, they aren’t meriting a higher pay. Look at why you’re hesitant to make the demand you’re examining. Have you had a lifetime of encounters in which you were made to feel lacking?

4. Record the reason for your demand before making it

Subsequent to completing an intensive and legitimate self-assessment, you can utilize this rundown of motivations to carry with you, regardless of whether just rationally, to your arrangement.

Clearly, in case you’re making a demand of a companion to run an errand or requesting that your sweetheart change his or her room moves, you won’t present a powerpoint introduction.

In any case, you can at any rate sort out your considerations early so you’re less inclined to feel shaken or humiliated.

5. Be decent

Requesting something with a grin will probably create a come about than making a similar demand in a blunt or ill-bred way. In a composed demand, ensure that you begin and end on a constructive note with the goal that you give the individual you’re making the demand for a great first and last impression.

On the off chance that this is a composed demand, re-read it and ensure you don’t sound whiny or griping. This implies that there’s no non-verbal communication to mellow the words.

Regardless of whether your demand depends on a complain, edge your words as far as what you plan to escape the communication as opposed to on the reasons that you may feel you’ve been reprimanded or abused. For example, when you need that seat on the transport, it’s especially imperative that you demonstrate the thought you expect consequently.

6. Be straightforward

Inverse to the “entryway in-the-confront” strategy is the “foot-in-the-entryway”. That is where you begin with a little demand to catch up with the bigger demand that you would have liked to get from the beginning. It’s a variation of snare and-switch.

Purchasers need to look reliable, so once they’ve consented to accomplish something, they think that it’s difficult to haul out when they find that the cost is higher than they figured it would be. Personal development can also help to gain better negotiation skills. This can be achieved by practicing the best personal development skills courses.

You can’t generally get what you need, yet with the correct demand making methodology, you’ll best express what you require.

Keep close eyes on Numbers

Though, in a business, one should care about people more than numbers. As, when you start to focus on people, numbers automatically start growing. But, you should have an accurate idea of the daily, weekly, monthly and annually numbers and the trends in your niche business.

If you got some special financial skills, check the numbers yourself or hire an accountant or expertise.

Marketing to increase your business

In these days, you would have heard about the big giants of the online and offline business about marketing.

Even if you got some special qualities, services or uniqueness, all will be wasted when clients not coming to you. You should market yourself, reach to the new audience and convince them to at least land on your business website once. And you can do this when you hire the right people for marketing. This could enhance your online reputation by making your content looking great.

Like Bill Gates said, “if you cannot make it good, at least make it look good”.
Use great images to market your business.  Facebook can grow your business rapidly, as the people love to be on Facebook all the time. You can take advantage of the social media to grow your business quickly. Make sure your Content is unique and is not copied from other websites. Check your content especially articles with plagiarism checking software before publishing.

Customer Value

If you committed to focus and zeal into the business you are doing, then this will be the most important aspect of succeeding.

For last longing success in the business, you should provide value in the lives of the customer who are using your product or services.

If you are not adding value to the lives of your customer, very soon the business will come to a stall mode.

The stall mode is that when one thinks, he is doing all well in the business but getting no positive nodes.

Think about adding comfort in lives of the customer with your product, instead of having all eyes on cash coming and going. This will help to increase your business.

Set your goals

Setting the goals and objectives of your ongoing business is an essential and vital part. Define and set the goals, then work on them on a daily basis. Put your sweat and blood to meet that goal, and if somehow, the business not taking the upward trajectory, sort out the reasons for it.

Have the right people around you, motivate your people and staff, and set the promotions for them, if they are meeting the goals you set.

Listen to the customer, get feedbacks

I have seen many online business gurus making the same mistakes, they pay more attention to what they think is right instead of listening to the feedback from the customers.

If a person uses your product or hire your services, and not satisfied, at least listen to what client wants to say. You should do everything in your power to make your customer happy or to give them what they are demanding.

Listen to your customer or read the feedbacks through social media, and check either there are mistakes in there or not.

Do not lose temper when someone hitting the nail hard on your head, rather reply the person professionally and find the best outcome for everyone.

7 Things Successful People Avoid

successful people

Do you consider yourself a successful person?

Before you answer, remember that the term “success” is somewhat relative. You may consider your cousin Larry a success because he has a Ph.D. and a high-paying job. But if his sights were set on Bill-Gates – level success, he may consider himself a failure.

When you reframe success as something you determine for yourself, it suddenly becomes attainable.

There is one common trait that successful people have: They consider themselves successful. These people are happy with what they have even though they may strive for more.

While they are busy reaching for their goals, successful people keep their eye on the prize. They understand that this means avoiding anything that could stand in the way of their productivity.

Successful people don’t bother with these seven things that could stand in the way of their productivity.

1. Excessive alcohol

There are many types of alcoholic drinking, but successful people avoid them all. They know their limits and stick to them. Because alcoholism is a multifaceted disease, it’s easier to fall into the trap than many people realize.

2. Saying yes to everything

Saying yes to the wrong thing can eat up your precious time and keep you away from doing things that are more productive. It’s true that opportunities are everywhere, but successful people are stingy with their time.

3. Lottery tickets

You can be successful and win the lottery, but successful people don’t rely on luck to get ahead. If you understand that your choices are what makes or breaks you, you are on your way to becoming successful.

4. Perfectionism

In order to achieve your goals, you’ll need to know when to walk away. It’s easy to get lost in the pursuit of perfection when you should be focusing on greater things.

5. Dwelling on the past

We all understand that we can’t change the past. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop us from obsessing over it. Successful people, on the other hand, don’t waste their time thinking about the past. They take the lessons learned from past mistakes and unfortunate encounters and move on.

6. Negative friends

You are the average of the five people you spend time with. This advice famously comes from successful motivational speaker Jim Rohn. If you want to be successful yourself, try spending time with people who are more successful than you. If you waste your time with Debbie Downers, their negative voices will always be stuck in your head.

7. Skipping breakfast

If you want to be successful, take time for breakfast in the morning. A 2013 Italian Journal of Pediatrics study review found that people who eat breakfast have a better overall nutrient consumption and cognitive performance than people who don’t. The simple act of eating a healthy breakfast will give you a better chance having a productive day.
