Be Kind to Each Other: 10 Inspiring Acts of Kindness To Do

Surely, many of us are tired of the selfishness of others, and from the endless series of atrocities that are happening in the world. The news that we hear daily, sometimes make us seriously doubt that a person is generally able to care for someone else except himself. Nevertheless, everything is not so bad. Here to your attention: 10 inspirational acts of kindness and human compassion.

1. The work of Mother Teresa

In 1999, on the eve of the new millennium, during the voting, the Americans recognized Mother Teresa as the most respected woman of the century. According to a survey conducted by CNN, she is admired more than Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, Albert Einstein and Helen Keller.

What makes her special? Her acts of kindness

Mother Teresa, nee Anez Gonzhe Boyadzhiu and named Angel of Mercy, was a missionary and a nun of the Roman Catholic Church. She dedicated her whole life to helping other people. Today, when people think of saints, they usually remember Mother Teresa.

In 1950, Mother Teresa founded the Order of the Missionaries of Mercy. The main task was to take care of the sick, homeless and helpless. In 1979, it was suggested that the reputation and sanctity of Mother Teresa may be somewhat exaggerated. She really dedicated her life to helping people doing random acts of kindness. Though, her homes for the dying sometimes could offer nothing but prayer for the relief of suffering.

Mother Teresa died in 1997.

2. “Linus Project”

The “Linus Project” is a non-profit organization. It distributes conventional and quilted home blankets to sick or injured infants, children, and adolescents in hospitals, shelters, social service organizations and charitable organizations. The goal is simple: to give people a sense of security and comfort when they need it most.

The Linus project in each state has local leaders, and there are volunteers, the so-called “blanketeers”. Their acts of kindness are not great, but inspiring a lot.

For example, in Fayette County, Georgia, volunteers have been sewn, hooked, and then distributed 1155 blankets to provincial children since 2010.  In 2012 they sent 147 hand-sewn blankets to children affected by Hurricane Sandy.

3. “Anti-protests”, caused by the Church of Westborough

The Westborough Baptist Church (WBC) is mostly known for its anti-gay performances. More representatives of this church are often seen at various high-profile military funerals. They arrange pickets there, holding banners in their hands with different calling slogans.

One can only imagine what began when this very ambiguous church suddenly announced that their protests are nothing more than an attempt to stir up the public.

Students at Vassar College found out that the Westborough Church was going to hold a picket at their campus. As they were loyal to representatives of the LGBT community, they immediately organized a counter-protest.

Other “anti-protesters” from the Angel Action organization brought three-meter angel wings with them and hid the representatives of the church from the sight of others. Another group, the Patriot Guard Riders, also used “non-violent means of protection” – shields. Therefore they did not allow representatives of the church to hold a picket at the next military funeral.

4. “Bikers against child abuse”

“Bikers against child abuse” (or BACA) is another non-profit organization. Since 1995, they have been working to protect children from violence and to raise public awareness of the violence against children. Their goal was to ensure the kids who have been physical, emotionally or physically abused, no longer to be afraid of being injured. Because the absence of fear is an important step on the path to healing. The group also helps to fund therapy and therapeutic activities.

Volunteer bikers from this organization strive to ensure that children feel safe. They also try to help in situations where law enforcement officers, employees of childcare agencies, and other people abuse children cruelly.
By that, they perform wonderful acts of kindness.

Would not you feel safe if you had a big crowd of guys on the Harleys on your side?

5. The work of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

The work of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is not only one of the great acts of kindness, but also a dramatic act of charity.

By 2011, Bill and Melinda Gates had already transferred 28 billion dollars to the Fund (that is, more than a third of their fortune).

The fund, for example, has allocated $112 million to the Save the Children organization to help newborns in various “at-risk” groups and 456 million MVI organizations developing new vaccines against malaria.

6. Pope John Paul II forgave his potential killer

A murderer from Turkey named Mehmet Ali Agca has three times shot at Pope John Paul II on St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. It happened on May 13, 1981. One bullet jumped off the index finger of the Pope and hit him in the stomach. Another touched his right elbow. Later, John Paul II says that he survived only thanks to the divine intervention of the Virgin Mary.

May 17, 1981, just four days after the assassination attempt, the pontiff publicly forgave Agca. He said that he forgave him when he was taken to the hospital in the ambulance. Moreover, in 1983, the Pope visited Agca in prison, where he served his 19-year sentence. During this meeting, John Paul II took his potential assassin by the hand, and forgave him, this time looking into his eyes.

7. Nelson Mandela invites his jailer to his inauguration

Nelson Mandela was convicted of sabotage during apartheid in South Africa, after which he spent 27 years in prison on Robben Island.

When in 1990 he finally got out, he had no desire to take revenge on his former jailers. Moreover, one of them he invited to his presidential inauguration, held in the1994 year. A white man named Christo Brand was invited to the 20-year anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela. Another jailer, James Gregory, also told a lot about his friendship with the famous political prisoner.

8. Ivan Fernandez Anaya deliberately loses to Abel Mutai

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was in the lead in the cross, which was held in the Spanish Navarre in the December 2012 year. The runner thought he had already crossed the finish line, in fact, it was about 10 meters before it.

The Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez Anaya, who claimed second place, could have taken gold, but he did not. Instead, Fernandez Anaya caught up with Mutai and gestured for him to finish first. Later, Fernandez Anaya said that he did not deserve the first place, and preferred honesty to victory.

9. Time-sparing possibilities for students

People, who devote their lives to education, in most of the occasions are limited in time.

When you are young, the world tries to give you a lot of different possibilities and magic moments to tell about in old age. In other words, it is a crime to waste the precious time only on the studying. Programmers and professional writers know how to fix this problem; they have invented special websites, like Edu Birdie that give the fast writing help. Everyone may use them if one feels the necessity.

10. The Christmas Truce

By December 1914, the First World War had already claimed almost a million lives, but for one day – Christmas, a truce was established between British and German soldiers.

The truth of the story is not confirmed still, and how much its details are exaggerated. The British soldiers in the trenches on the front suddenly heard a familiar motive coming from the German trenches that were nearby.
It was “Silent Night” (English “Silent Night”), with which the unauthorized fraternization between the enemies began.

During the Christmas truce, there were no shots or explosions. Soldiers, who were tired of the war, simply shook hands, and then shared cigarettes and threw canned food throughout the Western Front.

Magic Sparkles Of Happiness: I Am Grateful For Life Today

Chapter 4 ~ I Am Grateful For Life And Life Is Grateful For Me

This article contains fragments from the chapter 4 of the book Magic Sparkles of Happiness.

“Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.” – Karl Barth

I am grateful for my work and my work is grateful for me.

I am grateful for life and life is grateful for me.
I am grateful for people and people are grateful for me. And I am grateful for appreciation and appreciation is grateful for me.

I am grateful for hugs and hugs are grateful for me.

I am grateful that I understand perfectly the good things sent to me from the Universe.

You understand that you enjoy the benefits of you being/feeling grateful, which is an amazing feeling.

And you also enjoy the wonderful answer of the Universe, which is more powerful, because the Universe is bigger than you.

The affirmations from this chapter imply a harmonious resonance between you and life, which will bring you gratitude, love, serenity, security, and confidence.

In I am grateful for the Universe and the Universe is grateful for me, it is inherently implied that the Universe is always grateful for me, no matter what I do; which is true.
It implies a harmonious resonance, a partnership between me and the Universe. This is a complete affirmation.

The Universe is always grateful for us

It sustains us always, just that most of the time we do not feel its love, in our consciousness. Because what we feel in our consciousness needs to have a root inside of us.

When the energy pattern of a certain feeling or emotion is not inside us, the Universe cannot make us feel anything. The Universe sends and sends and sends and sends to us all its abundance and nothing sticks to us, since there are no roots inside us, no burgeoned seeds inside us with which he can connect and create towards us a flow/bridge of abundance.

The same principle applies to every good feeling that exists in this world, among which Love is the most important, feelings like gratitude, enthusiasm, passion, kindness, generosity, compassion, gentleness, happiness, acceptance, warm-heartedness. And this attitude makes you think in a positive and happy way, therefore making you feel positive and happy.

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.” –  Marcus Tullius Cicero

I AM GRATEFUL FOR *  *  * AND *  *  * IS GRATEFUL FOR ME

“We learned about gratitude and humility – that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean… and we were taught to value everyone’s contribution and treat everyone with respect.” – Michelle Obama

Author’s word

This book contains positive affirmations that make you feel happy. I recommend you to read throughout the chapters, taking each sentence, one by one. The sentences are arranged in a certain serene flow but can also be read separately.

The writing of this book has begun with my daily writings. I had some blissful, full of love, mesmerizing days when I just felt that I want to connect my own being with positive, high and strong words. Then connect myself with everything around me, connect my consciousness with the reality outside me. In this state I began to write this book.

This Week’s Positive Word is MAGIC: Become Master of Magic

This week’s positive word is

MAGIC

Do you remember being a child and believing in magic?

Do you remember your imagination being stretched so far that anything was possible?

Do you remember that feeling?

As we become adults we are filled with norms and expectations of society that we feel we should adhere to. Unfortunately magic isn’t one of the norms. In adulthood, we describe events as coincidences. But what if you were to look deeper into these coincidences?

You know I like to give you little exercises, well take ten minutes (or longer if you can) to think about any ‘coincidences’ that have happened to you in previous years, incidents that have sent you down a particular route. Have a think about the reasons these incidents may have happened … did they lead to another event? Did they send you down a different path?

Now think about the people you’ve met on your life journey. Have you ever thought about the people who have entered into your life? Some may have passed through for a sort while, while others have stayed by your side through thick and thin. Just because someone doesn’t stay in your life for a long period of time it doesn’t mean they weren’t meant to be there … totally the opposite, they were there for a reason. A magical reason to help you on your life journey.

Now take another ten minutes out to think about the people who have entered into your life. Think initially about those who have passed through, write down their names if you have time, then write a reason as to what you gained from that relationship, what lessons have been learned?

Now look at the people in your life, and write down those that are closest to you and think about the magic that surrounds your relationship with them. Write a paragraph on each person. Think about your magical relationships. How did you meet? What have you experienced together? How have you both supported each other? It’s a wonderful feeling to value the magic in a relationship. Was it a coincidence that you met?

Some people believe in logic, but those who believe in magic will experience are more fulfilling life, a life of limitless possibilities and opportunities. Once you believe in the magic, you carry that around inside of you, projecting it like a sparkling trail. An amazing feeling that you are being protected and there is a higher purpose. Our time here is magical, it should be our job to spread that magic wherever we go.

In the words of Roald Dahl …

So start believing in magic and watch miracles happen. It’s actually very exciting when you realise that magic does exist, and by believing you can make it happen.

Believe in the magic and watch the magic happen

Reflective Reality: Reflections of the Inner Universe Here

There is a universe that resides inside of me, a sort of reflective reality, for the universe is a most radical reflection of me. For I am ever-expanding like the sea, rooted and grounded like that an oak tree, all while transcendently resting in the ineffable infinity that is our galaxy.

Am I here, no am I really here? Simultaneously sensing that the beginning and the very end rests in this time’s sphere. Feeling as though my physical existence has vanished, most swiftly disappeared. Filled with a felicitous kind of fear, internally inquiring with my inner self whether I will make it out of here.

Senses overwhelmed as I; hear, smell, and see things ever so clear. For the universe, has never felt ever so near. As I am enveloped in the universe’s ever-expanding love, I am emphatically embraced with a most heavenly hug. Interwoven with the galaxy, stars, and the moon above my spirit is overflowing with a bounty of the purest form of love.

For your divine destiny can be found in written in the celestial skies above, paved with eternal love. And so, the next time you find your mind’s eye gazing up at the sky, know that the universe is looking back at you, resting in the soul of you, you are looking back at the reflection that is you.

This connection to the constellations makes one realize that endless possibilities reside within you, an eternity of endless treasures shall forever await you.

Reflections of the Soul of me Serenity To Enliven The Spirit

Our ever-expanding universe has undoubtedly blessed me with the oh so glorious gift of pouring out the oh so positively peaceful poetry that has indelibly been written on each and every vessel of my beating heart.

As I honor the universe, assuring to live out my life’s purpose too; uplift, inspire, and empower others by gracing them with my most rhythmic rhapsodies, allows for each soul to stop for a moment in time.  For there is profound power in being able to consciously connect, caressing another’s the unconscious mind. I must admit, that through the wonderment of words, it invokes in me a feeling that is ineffably one of a kind.

In an effort to provide your dearly beloved soul a glimpse into the reflections of my soul, In the words of Henry David Thoreau, this is my goal ” to live deeply and suck out the marrow of life” for this is what ignites a fire in my spirit, making me feel wondrously whole. The profoundly perfect stream of words spoken by Mr. Thoreau resonated with the effervescent essence that is me, so remarkably raptured the very soul of me wholeheartedly.

It is as if for a moment in time, I was Mr. Thoreau and he was me. Living life deeply is what gives my life purpose. It so promisingly propels me towards my most divine destiny.

I am enamored and inspired by every astoundingly amazing aspect of this beloved blessed life. From marveling in awe at the beautiful bounty of nature, keenly listening to the whispers of wise willow trees to gazing at the gorgeous glare of ever so brightly shining stars.  Progressively Pontificating our very existence here on earth, forever inquisitive about why we are the way that we are.

Finding solace in those solitary moments when I was comforted in clarity by the ever-translucent fact that we are the most radical reflections of our most glorious galaxy. Realizing that although our universe appears to be ever reaching, ever-expanding, out of reach, and ever so far, we are cosmically connected and thus this kismet connection has an impact on the very reason that we are who we are.

In soaking in the vivaciously vibratory words enlisted above, you may sense that my writings are inspired by the very depths of life, inspired not only by that which our eye sees but also those intangibles that can’t be seen but only felt, with the intention to find out what it means for you and me. It is my heart’s hope that my spiritually enlightened writings on; life, depth of emotions, the power of love, and the interconnectedness of it all shall stimulate and invigorate the; mind, body, and soul like that of the most gracefully refreshing rainfall.

Overall, I can only wish that it serves to inspire others to become increasingly more in tune with the love and light that resides in us all, propelling others to respond to every call that excites our wonder-filled spirits once and for all.

All in all, working towards the most marvelously miraculous mission for positively peaceful inspirations to behold each and every soul with overwhelming elation, so graciously taking flight, laying a most felicitous foundation across our nation. Transcending our universe’s collective consciousness straight towards the constellations. Cradling each heart in the purest form of serenity, and completely awe-inspiring adoration.

Sincerely,

Serenity

How Writing a Novel Helped my Friend to Find Herself Again

I had heard that writing could help you to improve yourself. And not only in the sense of giving you the tools required to get a new job or better grades at school. But also as a person.

That when it is only you and a piece of paper something magical and also scientifically proven can happen, that your mind just takes a turn for the best.

What I didn’t expect was that writing a novel would have such an impact on my friend’s life.

This friend of mine had always been quite shy and insecure. Confidence wasn’t one of her strengths, really. Since childhood (as we lived in the same neighborhood), I had seen her struggling to make friends, to speak her mind, and to get what she wanted.

It was usually I who had to make a stand for her. I would notice her embarrassment (what wasn’t really hard to spot considering she would turn herself into a beetroot), and there I was, from asking to buy something over the counter to defending her against the newest bully in town.

It was never a problem for me to do it for her, to be honest. I kind of liked it. But as soon as I started getting a bit older, and with a bit more of sense, I began to worry about what would be of her in the future.

It wasn’t like I could be with her on a date or a job interview, for example. She would have to learn to say what she needed to say and to do what she wanted to do by herself.

And yet nothing much changed until we got into our 20s. We were both attending the same college, but I had enrolled myself in Marketing studies while she was doing Literature and other things of the genre.

I am not afraid to say that the only thing that I could think at that stage was how she was planning to get a job with that sort of knowledge because it wasn’t like she was going to be a teacher. She wouldn’t be able to speak in front of a class full of students, I was sure about it.

But, one day, she came to me and told me that she was writing a novel.

My first reaction was “oh, well, another thing to get her even more isolated”, but then she started telling me about the plot, a story about a young girl who had been kidnapped and was trying to deal with her feelings of fear and despair by writing a journal.

She said she had found inspiration on Anne Frank’s story, the German-born Jewish girl who wrote a remarkable diary while hiding from the Nazis. She thought it was impressive the way that Anne managed to leave so many inspiration to us and to keep such a positive image of human beings despite what she was going through.

But what I had got more impressed about was how similar was my friend’s book’s main character with herself. I could see how she was pouring her own soul in those pages, that the girl’s words were her own, that her dreams were my friend’s so-long-forgotten dreams.

Over the time that my friend spent concentrated writing her novel, I also noticed an improvement in the way that she thought about almost everything. She sounded less confused, her speaking was more clear and direct, and she even sounded a bit more confident.

Thanks to the criminal plot she was working on, I believe she became more capable of thinking logically and seeing problems and challenges from a new perspective. But, more than anything, she sounded happier and motivated.

I understand now that examining her own feelings carefully, but under the impression that she was talking about someone else’s life, my friend set herself free. She released her frustrations and started managing to say what was going on in her mind without fear.

Not that she has changed from water to wine, but the improvement is there for anyone to see. I wasn’t the only one noticing her confidence blossoming out, as our other friends and even her teachers were impressed by her progress.

So I am sharing this with you so you can also give it a try. Don’t worry if you don’t have an original idea to write about Set fire on the pieces of paper after you finish your story if you like.

Just grab a notebook and a pen, or your laptop, and start writing any piece of fiction you might like. The benefits of this decision will remain in your mind and in your heart from that moment, and so on.
