6 Kids’ Birthday Party Trends For 2022 To Get Inspired

Each year, parents are faced with a difficult but exciting task – to organize a birthday party for the most important person on the planet. This article will help you get acquainted with the latest trends in the field of children’s parties so that you will not be confused by the variety of options on offer.

1. Invitations for Guests

Make your celebration more memorable with original invitation cards. Creating them will not take much time, but this detail will show how significant the holiday is. Use a background remover tool to craft your unique masterpiece in minutes. You just need to choose one of the professionally designed templates offered by the tool, make some edits that match the theme of the party, and tweak it a little for getting a customized item. It is up to you whether to opt for invitations sent in electronic form or to print them out. You can deliver the cards by e-mail, visit all parents and hand over the lovely envelopes personally, or give invitations to your child so that he or she can distribute them at school.

2. Single Style

The success of a party usually lies in creating and maintaining a certain atmosphere. Though there was a time when decoration with balloons was considered the top of skill, now event organization has moved further. A thought-out style plays an important role in creating the desired mood, along with the detailed design of the space. Themed birthdays inspired by superheroes and favorite cartoons or mimicking space stations and even real balls with knights and princesses are gaining popularity day by day. Parents pay special attention to the selection of decorations, treats, and even dress codes for all guests of the occasion. After all, when the guests put some effort into resonating with the party idea and have some fun while preparing for it, the event will certainly be successful.

3. Candy Bar

If trying to follow modern trends in organizing children’s parties, it is difficult to do without a candy bar. This solution makes the party sweeter (literally!) and more aesthetically pleasing. A candy bar is a separate table with small sweet snacks. Usually, these are cake pops, macarons, small eclairs, cupcakes, chocolates, gingerbread, and fruits. Candy bars serve to surprise guests with vibrant and elaborated designs, and they can be skillfully combined with a photo zone. Children’s candy bars are usually decorated with balloons, flowers, tinsel, and lights, and if you put a chocolate fountain in the center of the table, your party will be an ultimate success.

4. Kids Party Entertainers

Calling a party entertainer is a great decision. The services of professional holiday hosts have been in demand for a long time. But why is it so? Firstly, kids tend to go into raptures over the presence of their favorite superheroes, cartoon characters, clowns, and magicians. Secondly, professional entertainers ensure that children will be engaged in exciting activities while they know how to create a scenario for kids to have plenty of fun without getting exhausted. Many professional entertainers who specialize in kids’ parties are trained to deal with various age groups and understand child psychology even better than parents. Finally, you will get another pair of eyes to look after the little fidgets if you suddenly get distracted.

5. Workshops

The power of workshops lies in children’s complete immersion in the process because the result they will receive depends on their focus and hard work. The most popular activities for kids list gingerbread painting, creating accessories and gifts for parents, making slimes, and paper folding. For older girls, it can be the art of selfies, food styling, face painting, makeup lessons, or making sushi and rolls. Boys might be interested in creating cartoons and building robots from scrap materials.

6. Bright Finale

Do not forget about arranging a memorable end of the party! You definitely cannot do without a surprise! For instance, no birthday is complete without a traditional cake ceremony. Blowing out candles on a birthday cake is a bright final point, but you can make it even more exciting. Complement it with a mini-performance using a party popper, confetti, or soap bubbles. At the end of the event, it is important to put an accent that will remain in your memory for a long time.

In Wrapping Up

There is no doubt that you will 100% cope with organizing a birthday party, and it will become a dear memory for your family. However, to remember the big day even better, it is worth taking care of a photo or video session. Professional photography and videography will allow you to capture all the most important moments, which can be shown decades later, for instance, on a wedding day.

Love is an Action Movement Project Made With Passion

The project Love is an Action Movement joins together people inspired by Love.

In the last year, I’ve watched as negative news, actions and images have overtaken our social media platforms and our news outlets.  I watched devastated as families were torn apart, friendships severed, fear, hopelessness, and discouragement among other things further engulfed our world.  I felt strongly that something had to be done,  but what could I do? I am only one person.

It seems as if we as a people have forgotten who LOVE is and how to express it properly.

Love is Action Movement

The “Love is an Action Movement” is to remind the world about what Love means according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and how love is expressed according to 1 John 3:18.

What do I want from you?

A few moments of your time…. and a request that you would use the hashtag #LIAAmovement; #/@sweetstartministriesinc along with your own hashtags when posting positive images, quotes,  kind acts, and videos. Together we can begin to shift what we see in our social platforms from negative to positive.

Love can not be censored or banned. It is a universal language.

Social media as you know is a tool. Like all things, it can be used negatively or positively. This is where I’m starting,  shifting the focus and pushing back the darkness.

Love is an Action Movement

By the way,  this isn’t to cover or ignore issues that need to be addressed. It’s simply to be the light we were called to be,  to shine the light and love of Jesus in a world that’s getting darker by the second.

Our Love Rocks are being placed in parks,  walking trails, and anywhere that’s populated with people.  The idea is to get these rocks moving from city to city,  state to state, and country to country. This is a way to spread the message that Love is an Action.  Check out our website Sweet Start Ministries. Every day is a brand new start so begin again with an open heart!

Will you join me?

In Ecclesiastes 4:9,10 the bible states, “Two are better than one because they can help each other succeed. If one falls down, his companion can lift him up but woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up”.

Love is an action, not just a word. So many times we say we love others but our actions say something different. When we say we love others what does it mean?

Love is an Action Movement

The Bible defines love as this…

1 Corinthians 13:4 – LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, hopes, and preserves. Love never fails.

In 1 John 3:11 we are commanded to love one another. Love is active, demonstrative and responsive.

The lack of love in this world is causing darkness and cold-heartedness to spread far and wide. We need to be the light of the world by showing godly love as 1Corinthians 13: 4-8 defines it. The bible says GOD IS LOVE.

3 things to join this movement:

1. Use #LIAAMovement and #sweetstartministries on all your positive images, videos, and post.

2. Participate in Love Rocks!

3. Spread the Word!

Encouragement, affirmation and love is something we need to thrive in this life. The goal of the project Love is an Action Movement is to offer these three elements to everyone within our reach. Love is a universal language and we intend to show it in word and in action consistently.

5 Positive Affirmations To Kickstart Your Morning Off Right

Ever feel like you wake up dreading the day ahead?

If so, you’re not alone, but the good news is there is a simple, powerful method you can use to immediately raise your energy and set yourself on the path towards having a great day.

The trick? Say a few simple positive affirmations when you wake up.

What you think first thing in the morning has a strong impact on how you start your day. If you wake up and immediately feel stressed, tired, or disheartened about the day ahead, then you need to take a few moments to reset, and deliberately put yourself into a good.

How To Use These Affirmations

In order for these phrases to work, you need to take a moment to learn how to use them correctly.

Simply repeating an affirmation over and over again will not always work. That’s because the affirmation is only as powerful as the emotion behind it.

When you repeat these short phrases, take a moment to feel into each idea, and try to imagine a positive emotion resulting from them. That will help you to connect with your inner energy, and make the most of each affirmation.

This post from The Joy Within explains the process in more detail.

Positive Affirmations To Kickstart Your Morning

My 5 Favorite Morning Affirmations

As you read the following affirmations, feel free to adapt them to meet your own specific needs and circumstance.

I think these phrases work best when used together, and you might want to repeat each several times silently or aloud before you move on to the next.

  1. I am well. This first phrase is a perfect way to start the day because it asserts the power of your own well-being. Notice how general and light-hearted it is. The simple fact that you are awake and alive is evidence of your well-being, before any negative thoughts can creep in.
  2. This is a good morning. This next idea starts to get a little more specific about your day, while staying very general. Don’t dive into thoughts of what you have to do just yet, simply notice that today, without any qualifications, can be good.
  3. Today is a new day. Focusing on the fact that it is a new day almost always feels refreshing. There can be huge relief and optimism within the idea that you have a fresh start and a new opportunity to accomplish whatever it is you want to do today.
  4. I like that today I will ____. Now, begin to focus a little more specifically on the day ahead, but only on aspects that you like, or can feel excitement about. Choose one or two things you will do, and remind yourself why you like them.
  5. I am excited about the day ahead. Lastly, try to move from that feeling of liking something about your day, to feeling excited about it. Repeat the positive ideas from #4, and become more engaged with them.

If you follow these 5 affirmations, repeating them for a few moments in order, you will start to feel more positive and optimistic about your day.

This energy, in turn, will help you to feel motivated, and will set you on the path for a good, productive, and fun day ahead!

As Tony Robbins says, “The power of positive thinking is the ability to generate a feeling of certainty in yourself when nothing in the environment supports you.”

So, take some time to feel that certainty in yourself, and start your day off right!

If you need more ideas, or want to change these phrases to fit your life, check out this list of inspiring words to use.

Is It True That Video Games Can Make People Happy Today

Nowadays we spend more and more time in the digital world. In fact, our actual world is slowly turning into digital which brings a lot of positive changes to our daily life. However, there is still a stigma connected with video games. It is driven by the fear of a negative impact on the lives of both children and adults, and it does not matter if we are talking about violent scenarios or not.

Think about it: any anti-social actions of people who often play video games or even simply like them will most likely be justified by the industry.

From the other side, if we look back, our fear seems to be natural and does not look like something we have not seen before. Similar concerns were actual when rock music appeared or when the world was introduced to comic books. People are generally careful and in most cases defensive when they see some new tendency, especially among younger people.

Of course, some games, some music, and some books are not meant for all age groups, which leads us to an eternal question: Isn’t it important to have a balanced approach in every sphere?

To begin with, there are numerous proven benefits to playing video games regardless of their content. It looks like once a person focuses on a game, their stress level is dropping significantly, their mood improves and the level of confidence is growing.

The latter is connected with the fact that the joy of winning in any sphere inevitably leads to an increase in the feeling of self-worth. Young people and teenagers also enjoy the benefits of playing in a social and communicational sense. This includes both the feeling of relatedness and the need to interact with other people in some of the types.

Moreover, research shows that in a randomized sample of adults diagnosed with clinical depression those who started playing video games reported positive changes and the reduction of stress level, anger, and tension. What is more important is that those results were reflected in their heart rate variability and brain activity.

Similar research conducted with children had the same results: those kids who played on a moderate level showed better results in positive emotions, self-esteem, connections with family, and safe friendships than kids who were playing a lot or did not play at all. It looks like the wisdom of not overdoing works in every sphere regardless of age.

Also, now that we have more studies on the human brain, the scientific community started paying attention to what video games can actually do to assist people with adjusting to the fast-paced world we live in.

First of all, there is good news for action game lovers: they improve your swift reaction to unpredictable circumstances, strategic thinking, and multitasking. Besides, those who play in general are more likely to identify distractions, which helps them to return to their main tasks quicker and procrastinate less.

This leads us to the conclusion that people who do video games have better focus. Such a crazy hypothesis has been proven by the French cognitive neuroscientist Daphne Bavelier who has accidentally started researching this topic and the impact of gaming on our brain activity. In her study she had both gamers and nongamers watch sequences of letters that would rapidly appear on the screen at the same time.

The participants had to concentrate on one of the three pressing a button when numbers would come up and ignoring all the distractions. Their results and brain activity was recorded as they also had EEG headsets on. All the participants held their attention and focused on their sequences.

However, those who played video games had far better reactions and scores. Wouldn’t it be nice to do better at work and be able to focus on the meaningful thanks to the actual fun time spent with friends?

To sum up, there’s more to video games than meets the eye. Playing several sets of your favorite one alone or with your friends spending a wise amount of your time can bring a lot of positive influence. Your stress will be gone, and the muscle of focus trained. Video games ‘good for well-being’ says University of Oxford study.

Best 6 Books to Help Your Vision Become a Reality Today

People who read books are intelligent, and their word choice is always on point. But which are the books to help your vision become a reality? From reading a book, you can be able to have different qualities. Books teach us different morals, and that is a positive thing. If reading books is your hobby, you will be eloquent, and having conversations will be a small task.

1. Personality Isn’t Permanent

Every person has a different personality. Some struggle with theirs as others are very comfortable. You can be mad at yourself for not having some personality, but remember that is you. You are doing the best you can, and that is the best version of you. Hardy, the author, insists on someone changing their mindset to do something else better. Paying your rent before the exact time, that is changing your mindset and doing something else. Do not worry about a personality as long as you are real and working on making yourself better.

2. Obsessed

You do not need to have everything to reach your destination. Use what you have and be creative. Make sure that you build something people you love. If people love something, you cannot force them to look into it, they definitely will. Make sure you create the best brand, and you will have nothing to regret. Emmy Heyward explains better in her book, Obsessed. If you have a dream, chase it, and you will reach where you want.

3. The Ministry of Common Sense

Martin Lindstrom tries to tell companies that they always find the best solutions in solving problems.it is on a Saturday, you are home with your family then all over sudden you have to report to work for a meeting. You dress well, hoping that the meeting will take the better part of the day. Then it lasts for ten minutes, was it necessary? No, you have an email, and it is one of the fastest ways they can communicate and tell you everything.

If you are a hard worker and trying to find a job or open your own company, then this is the book for you.

5. Ask For More

People don’t ask for more because of fear. Even when someone is being paid less for an enormous amount of work, they tend to keep quiet. Alexander Carter’s book gives people the confidence to ask for more and also questions to negotiate what you want. Start negotiating so that people know you are worth it. If you get comfortable by what you get even when it can’t sustain you, then you will live with it for the rest of your life because no one will ever know.

6. Effort-Less Wealth

Tom Corley gives an example using two men, one spent money wisely, but the other one did not. He goes ahead and says the way you use your possession and money matters. Because at the end of the day, happiness will always come first. You don’t need to overspend for you to be happy. You can use the average amount to do the same thing and still be happy. No amount of money can buy happiness.

Encourage Positive Attitude in Students for Better Learning

Students always need a positive boost from every side. Especially from parents and teachers, they need some encouraging words which will naturally reduce their stress and they will be able to concentrate on the learning process. The teacher plays an important role in encouraging students in learning. If the teacher treats them positively understand their feelings then students will show interest in that subject and they will feel relaxed. In olden days there were no deep students and teacher relationship. Teachers really behave formally with the students but now in this modern technological and broad-minded era students expect teachers to be very friendly and they try to create a good rapport with the teachers. In another side teacher also came forward to talk with students friendly and trying to plan curriculum in which there will be the good rapport with the students. The teacher can use some tricks and techniques to bring a positive attitude in students towards learning.

Avoid all negative vibes

Mainly their will some people who will encourage you in life but some are there who will give negative vibes about your learning. Life is filled with different kinds of people some are very encouraging to us but some are not boosting us but pulling us down so always avoid such people. That will help you to be positive and will bring positive thoughts in our mind. When you need some kind of encouragement in certain matters always go near those whom you think is good for your thoughts. Never talk about your personal problems with those who will pass negativity in your mind. If you are not able to concentrate or having some problems while studying always seek help from teachers and parents they are the best source for giving positive thoughts and remedies for your problems.

Real life experience

The teacher can use some real-life example to motivate students. There is the number of people who started their life with zero and now at present they are the most successive persons in life. So students must understand that no one is born with the silver spoon they also had their hardship in life and they also struggled with that motivating stories they will build the positive attitude towards life and they will try their best to reach success in life.

Love yourself

People mostly never do this thing. They always look at others life and wish that it be them but actually others also have some problems in life and they are also struggling in this life. So first people should start loving their own personality. No one is born with perfections. Everyone has their own merits and demerits in life they must accept as life comes and accept it and ha e to move forward in life. So never say why I in life because everyone has such problems in life. Famous persons had a disability in learning but they fought against their destiny and now they are the successive personality in life.

Do yoga and exercise

It’s another best technique to bring a positive attitude towards life. People make fun of this sometimes but it’s the best medicine to stress relief and it really helps to bring positive thoughts. Yoga also helps to increase the concentration skill and they are the best way to be happy. Ones you are satisfied with your life then you can fight against any problems. Learning mainly needs the willpower of achieving the goal. Ones you set the goal in your life then no one can stop you and you will be the happiest person according to you. You have to be fit mentally and physically this will lead positive attitude towards life. Eating good food also matters in life. When you eat good and healthy it will affect your mind also. Healthy food helps to be fresh and alert in every process. So always prefer healthy food which will help you to be positive towards life.

These are some tips to be positive in life. Students must follow such tips to be active in life. Student’s family and surroundings also matter in this process. It’s easy to say but it’ very difficult to be positive 24hours. But have to try to bring positive thoughts in life. It’s really hard to be optimistic in life but to be confident and to achieve something life people must accept optimistic thoughts. Positive thoughts make us confident enthusiastic and bring a kind of energy in life which is very essential to reach one’s goal and lead a successful life.

Maintain Positive Mindset: Understand And Make It Work

Why attitude matters?

In order to attract the fortunate situations to our life, deep understanding of the positive attitude towards every aspect of life is everything needed. Numerous famous people such as Einstein, Edison, Beethoven and many others, acknowledge the fact that our mind is shaping the things surrounding us. All of them understood the power of thoughts. However, it is difficult for most people to understand that keeping a positive attitude can really change our life and can make the life unbelievable.

Such a relation arises because people are afraid of thinking about what they want in life. Vice versa – they tend to focus on aspects they don’t like. Most people consider complaining more usual rather than thinking positively. Thus, learning to develop a positive outlook on life is the most important goal to set.

How long should I wait for the good things to start happening?

After thinking positively for a while, people might be interested why it might have no impact on their life.  The answer is very simple: there is such a notion as time and there is a difference between thinking about advantages and imagining oneself experiencing these aspects. The most important factor, which helps to understand whether someone is moving in the right direction is emotions, which have a test function on whether there is a need to change one’s thoughts.

Once a person has learned to think positively, another important aspect is keeping the positive attitude. For instance, if to consider a student struggling with writing a term paper, he may choose to focus on the successful outcome, like finding the best academic writing agency offering low prices. On the other hand, being worried and afraid of not handing in a paper on time, which might be transformed into reality, including finding the agency offering poor quality papers for cosmic prices such as thepensters. There are many different tips helping people change their relationship to life. That starts with ignoring negativity to always finding something good in any case, stopping exaggerating, having regular exercises, being grateful for everything and many others.

Thinking positively and feeling well cannot become a routine or something one does as a morning exercise

On the contrary, it should be referred to as a constant therapy which combines imagination and gratitude. So, how to have a positive attitude? The answer is to work really hard to understand the way every person attracts either positive or negative situation in their life and to learn to make a habit of thinking emphatically, which would bring joy and happiness. It has to be thought-out as totally creative process everyone has to take pleasure from.

Tips to overcome the struggles you might face adjusting to new way of thinking

Someone might find it difficult to train their mind for thinking in a completely different way to the one they are used. Therefore, different tips might be really helpful. Firstly, it is important to pay attention to all the emotions felt during the day. If a person feels down, stressed, guilty or afraid it is important to start thinking immediately about something bringing joy, e.g. a child or someone you love. Another useful trick is to start helping other people around in any possible way. For instance, such famous people as Bill Gates or Mother Theresa are ones of the happiest people on the planet due to their taking care of others.

Another useful tip is avoiding negative people and surrounding yourself with those who think emphatically. One more useful tip to make happy thinking work is using positive affirmations. These can be sentences about personal characteristics, for instance,I am happy and successful.
Many therapists suggest positive affirmation as the most useful technique for improving one’s life. It is important to replace negative thoughts and expressions with the opposite ones: “I am grateful for my work.”

Focus on solutions

On the other hand, there might be cases from which people see no way out. It is worth considering that no matter what situation we are in, no matter how difficult it might look, there should always be a solution to the problem. Consider the fact that someone else in the universe might have already experienced such a case.
Another useful trick is repeating the fact in your mind that nothing is impossible and there is always someone around you, who would give an advice. Or a complete stranger might teach you what to do. What is even more important, the ability to learn not to focus on the problems you have will act in such a way that the problems might simply float away. Instead, focus on finding solutions.

Magic Sparkles of Happiness: I Love People and People Love Me

Chapter 5 ~ I Love People and People Love Me

This article contains fragments from the chapter 5 of the book Magic Sparkles of Happiness.

“There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer….

No door that enough love will not open

No gulf that enough love will not bridge,

No wall that enough love will not throw down….

It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble,

How great the mistake,

Sufficient realization of love will resolve it all.

If only you could love enough,

You would be the happiest and most powerful being in the universe.” – Emmet Fox

I love my work and my work loves me.

I love life and life loves me. I love people and people love me. I love appreciation and appreciation loves me.

I love my daily activities and my daily activities love me. I love the Universe and the Universe loves me. I love books and books love me. I love my city and my city loves me.

I love self-love and self-love loves me. I love grace and grace loves me. I love serenity and serenity loves me. I love relief and relief loves me.

These affirmations make you feel love.

Feeling love makes you happy.
This self-training makes you conscious of how many things you actually love that you were not too aware of. What we love, we also have, in our reality.
So whatever you have, including the fact that you have yourself, you love.

You need to loudly say it or write it on a piece of paper that you love it. You might think you don’t feel that you love what you have since you never took the time to say that you love them.

All is love in this world; therefore what you have, you already have loved them. So say it, to yourself, say that you love everything you already have.
Bring this love into your consciousness. It is a long list, right? And is a long list for everyone. Every one of us already has a long, long, long list of things we already love.

We should take more time to become aware of them, to count them. And we will get used to become mesmerized of what we have. We will feel content, blessed and serene.

“What you seek is seeking you” – Rumi

Happiness is an energy process created by a higher force.

It exists in our world. Maybe in other worlds this process doesn’t exist. Although I think this higher force made it universal since it is one of the most beautiful creations and God loves this process very much.

I am comparing doing daily happiness with doing daily archery. Do we know what archery is? Yes we do… but in general. We acknowledge (validate) the existence of archery in the world. Same with happiness, we know it exists… but in general.

We acknowledge (validate) the existence of happiness in the world. But to acknowledge it, is not the same as to feel it. How do we feel it, if we don’t know much about it?

Related to archery, we could ask ourselves “How can I shoot every day from a bow?”. Because not many of us know much about archery, we don’t know how to practice it, do we?

Same with happiness, we can ask ourselves “How can I be happy every day?”. Let’s suppose we don’t know how to shoot with the bow and let’s also suppose that we don’t know how to be happy. What do we do next?

(…)

Among other insights, which I wanted to reveal through this parallel archery/happiness, I also wanted to prove that you cannot take happiness for granted.

Nobody was born with the archery knowledge.

Nobody was born a fully prepared adult which perfectly knows the happiness knowledge. We were all children.
Nobody knew from birth how to shoot with a bow. Nobody knew from birth how to persevere with his efforts, in feeling daily happiness.

Also, nobody can shoot with a bow in your place and then make you feel like you have shoot with the bow.
Nobody can be happy for you and then make you feel that you were happy in your life. Either you shoot with the bow or you don’t.

You just see other people doing it.

Either you initiate the happiness process and feel it or you don’t, you just see other people doing it.

Of course, archery and happiness are two different knowledge that they represent. You might think that archery is easier to learn than happiness.
But in my opinion, you have much more chances of practicing happiness in your life than archery.

There are more people practicing happiness in the world than people who practice archery. Eventually, each of us feel happiness in their life and not many of us will ever shoot with a bow in their life.
Happiness is at everyone close grasp. Take it and be happy!

“Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you” – Hafiz

Author’s word

This book contains positive affirmations that make you feel happy. I recommend you to read throughout the chapters, taking each sentence, one by one. The sentences are arranged in a certain serene flow but can also be read separately.

The writing of this book has begun with my daily writings. I had some blissful, full of love, mesmerizing days when I just felt that I want to connect my own being with positive, high and strong words. Then connect myself with everything around me, connect my consciousness with the reality outside me. In this state I began to write this book.

Top 7 Things Successful People Avoid and Stay Energized

Do you consider yourself a successful person? Before you answer, remember that the term “success” is somewhat relative. You may consider your cousin Larry a success because he has a Ph.D. and a high-paying job. But if his sights were set on Bill Gates’s level of success, he may consider himself a failure.

When you reframe success as something you determine for yourself, it suddenly becomes attainable.

There is one common trait that successful people have: They consider themselves successful. These people are happy with what they have even though they may strive for more.

While they are busy reaching their goals, successful people keep their eye on the prize. They understand that this means avoiding anything that could stand in the way of their productivity.

Successful people don’t bother with these seven things that could stand in the way of their productivity.

1. Excessive alcohol

There are many types of alcoholic drinking, but successful people avoid them all. They know their limits and stick to them. Because alcoholism is a multifaceted disease, it’s easier to fall into the trap than many people realize.

2. Saying YES to everything

Saying yes to the wrong thing can eat up your precious time and keep you away from doing things that are more productive. It’s true that opportunities are everywhere, but successful people are stingy with their time.

3. Lottery tickets

You can be successful and win the lottery, but successful people don’t rely on luck to get ahead. If you understand that your choices are what make or break you, you are on your way to becoming successful.

4. Perfectionism

In order to achieve your goals, you’ll need to know when to walk away. It’s easy to get lost in the pursuit of perfection when you should be focusing on greater things.

5. Dwelling on the past

We all understand that we can’t change the past. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop us from obsessing over it. Successful people, on the other hand, don’t waste their time thinking about the past. They take the lessons learned from past mistakes and unfortunate encounters and move on.

6. Negative friends

You are the average of the five people you spend time with. This advice famously comes from successful motivational speaker Jim Rohn. If you want to be successful yourself, try spending time with people who are more successful than you. If you waste your time with Debbie Downers, their negative voices will always be stuck in your head.

7. Skipping breakfast

If you want to be successful, take time for breakfast in the morning. A 2013 Italian Journal of Pediatrics study review found that people who eat breakfast have a better overall nutrient consumption and cognitive performance than people who don’t. The simple act of eating a healthy breakfast will give you a better chance having a productive day.

Perfectionism Ruins Your Life: 7 Tips to Overcome It Now

Why can’t my skin be perfect? I’m doing my best, but what if my boss hates the project? I will win this thing!

If you dig deep enough, you’ll recognize some aspects of perfectionism deep within.

Everyone has faced the challenge of wanting to be better than anyone else. Being better than we already are is a good aspiration. But that’s not enough for us. We strive to perfection, and that’s when the problems begin.

The strive for improvement is an absolute necessity in life. It pushes you to learn more, try harder, and make progress. However, when this strive turns into perfectionism, it’s a reflection of your big ego. It makes you constantly unsatisfied with the things you achieve.

Have you ever had to deal with a perfectionist? Maybe a partner, a boss, or a parent? How impossible was it to make them happy with your achievements? Why would you impose such high expectations on yourself?

Perfectionism can really ruin your life. Daniel Winslet, a team leader from Best Essays, sees that from a student’s point of view: “Do you know how many students are striving to make their perfectionist parents happy? Too many. Since they are so used to being pushed, they start imposing impossible expectations to themselves. Although they can write well, they are not confident in their abilities. They hire professional writers even when there’s no need for that. A perfectionist doesn’t recognize the it’s good enough limit. That complicates their lives to a great extent.”

Is there a way to control this state of being? Yes. It’s not easy, but it’s possible. We’ll list 7 tips to help you with that.

1. Appreciate the Journey

Winning at something is easy to celebrate, right? But the moment when you meet a goal is not the only one worthy of a celebration. All small steps that get you there are important. Pay attention to the progress, no matter how insignificant it seems. This will teach you that every move forward is important. You’ll still keep an eye on the goal, but you’ll understand that the wider perspective is what matters.

2. Understand the Value of Mistakes

When you look at the photos of popular Instagram yogis, you’re mesmerized with their power and grace. That’s because they show you the final result of a long process of making effort. Throughout that process, they fell down from a handstand countless times. They went through misalignments and pain. They are still not perfect. No one ever is.

Don’t let mistakes stop you from working further. Acknowledge their value. They teach you lessons. When you correct a mistake, you’re getting a lot better at what you do.

3. Don’t Turn Ideals into Absolutes

Everyone has ideals. A perfectionist translates them into goals. If a perfectionist is a writer, they want to be the next Dostoevsky. When they write something, they don’t believe it’s good enough for that ideal. So they don’t bother publishing it.

Turn your ideals into guidelines; not absolutes.

4. Don’t Rush with Your Judgments

Growth is a process. Goal-achieving is a process. Overnight success? There’s no such thing.

Let’s say you start a YouTube channel and you want to make it a huge success. Chances are, you won’t achieve that with a single video. You’ll have to keep working and engaging your audience. Each day, you’ll be attracting more viewers.

If you get disappointed after the first video because it doesn’t get you millions of views, you won’t continue doing this. If you keep going, you’ll reach the millions at one point.

Do not judge your achievements too soon! Let the process take its time.

5. Avoid the Comparison Trap

Why is it called a comparison trap? – Because comparing yourself to other people traps you in a place of constant disapproval. You feel like you’re never good enough, since there’s always someone accomplishing more. This behavior is harmful.

You can compare yourself only to yourself. Think about where you are at this moment. Envision where you want to be. Pay attention to the progress and that will be good enough.

6. Acknowledge Your Uniqueness

You can’t be someone else. You can’t meet other people’s expectations? That’s okay. It’s more important to find out who you want to become.

You’re a unique individual with special preferences. Your attempt to be perfect in the eyes of other people gets in the way of achieving your unique potential.

7. Stay in the Now

Perfectionists constantly think about a more successful future. That’s not a bad thing, as long as it doesn’t take you away from the present moment. Do not keep your focus on the goals all the time. You can envision a better future for yourself, but perceive it as the growth you’ll achieve starting from this moment.

Staying in the present moment is not just a random mindfulness technique everyone is talking about. It’s wisdom. It works.

Will you sacrifice your happiness to perfectionism? Of course not! You’re already great. You can become better, but you shouldn’t be unhappy if you don’t become perfect. Each step forward is important, no matter how insignificant it seems.

10 Movies That Will Motivate You on Writing New Bestseller

Writing can be tough, even if you’ve been doing it for a long time already. Things like writer’s block do happen even with the best of writers, and while the best way to overcome them is to simply continue working, sometimes it doesn’t feel simple at all.

We all have our ups and downs and often all we need is not some more willpower to keep going but a bit of motivation. Sure, one can try to overcome themselves and keep writing despite doesn’t feeling like that at all. But isn’t it better to take a few-hour break from it, find some motivation, and then return to your writing – and actually enjoy the process? It’s not our homework anymore, after all.

For many of us, movies are the best inspiration. They not only tell us stories – they show them in all their vividness, being as illustrative as possible. So here are 10 movies that could inspire you to write a new bestseller.

1. Stranger Than Fiction (2006)

Once upon a time a man named Harold Crick start hearing a voice, which seems to narrate his own life, making it look like he’s a character in a novel.

The summary itself is intriguing, of course. But that’s not the only reason you should watch this movie. If you have been writing for a while, you’ve probably experienced this amazing feeling when your characters seem to start acting on their own, dictating you what to write about. This film will remind you of that, also reminding how important it is to not become too attached to your first draft or original plot.

2. Genius (2016)

This is an autobiographical film about Max Perkins – an editor, who discovered F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and, finally, Thomas Wolfe. The whole film is about Max’s relationship with Thomas – but not only about that. It also shows the importance and the complexity of the editing process, illustrates writer’s struggles, and demonstrates that’s writing is not only about inspiration but also about hard work.

3. Music and Lyrics (2007)

This romantic comedy is actually about one of the toughest moments in any writer’s life: when you need to create something good while feeling the pressure of a deadline. Though the film is about songwriting, it illustrates any creative writing process very vividly and realistically. You might get some inspiration from it – or simply have a good laugh.

4. Young Adult (2011)

Young adult movie is more about people, who refuse to grow up despite their age. The main character is an author of teen fiction, and while a certain part of the movie is dedicated to her personal relationships, there’s still plenty of things that writers can use for inspiration. For example, you could relate to her struggles with capturing some specific characters and learn something from the methods she uses to understand her audience better.

5. Dead Poet’s Society (1989)

This film illustrates the writers’ struggles brilliantly. Is there any point of writing when you don’t know who’s going to read it? Should we start writing in the first place or should we choose something else to do? Many of us have asked themselves these questions – and this film can help you find the answers. Perfect inspirational pep talk for many writers.

6. Kill Your Darlings (2013)

We often hear that it’s good to learn from the best – well, why don’t we try then? This film allows doing so: it tells us the story of the friendship of Jack Kerouac, Lucien Carr, Allen Ginsberg, and William S. Burroughs. You’ll be able to see that despite their talent, these writers were ordinary people struggling with their lives and their emotions – just like many of us.

7. Julie & Julia (2009)

This film is about Julie Powell – a blogger, who is committed to making every recipe from the cookbook written by Julia Child and writing about this on her blog. While it’s more about blogging that about book writing, it still shows us how important it is to be consistent in what you do even if it seems no one else cares about it.

8. Barfly (1987)

It’s a semi-autobiographical movie about Charles Bukowski that allows us to take a peek into the author’s life, to experience his downfalls and hardships along with him, and to remember how important it is to not give up even after so many failures. The persistence is often the key when it comes to writing – and this film emphasizes its importance one more time.

9. Misery (1990)

It’s definitely not the brightest film. The main character, Paul Sheldon, is a famous novelist, who’s been writing romance books about a woman called Misery for a while. He became famous for that books but eventually decided to end the series in order to focus on more serious novels. That was until he got into a car accident and found himself trapped in a home of his crazy fan, who refuses to let him go until he rewrites the last book, continuing Misery’s story.

While it does seem pretty grim, the film illustrates how much impact does our writing have on the others. It is also about the importance of listening to yourself and to following your creative impulses no matter what.

10. Midnight in Paris (2011)

Another story about a writer (screenwriter, actually) that, however, takes an unexpected turn. When Gil Pender goes to Paris with his fiancee and her family, he suddenly finds himself going back in time every midnight, meeting cultural heroes of the past.

While we cannot do time-travel (hopefully, yet), we can still try tailoring this technique to our creative process. For example, why not pretend to have a brainstorm with the writers that inspire and influence you? This might seem a bit weird but it could actually help you with your creative struggles a lot – and it boosts your imagination as well.

When we were students, we struggled with essay topics ideas for college. And when we grow up and become writers, it also still could be a struggle sometimes – but, hopefully, you’ll be able to make everything better with the help of these films!

5 Things To Know About 100 Years of Homework Writing

Homework has come a long way. This means even as students of this age partake in assignments, it is noteworthy that it is an activity far from being dispensable. Even in the unforeseeable future, students will still be doing different types of assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Before looking into a brief history of homework, the question is of what significance are these tasks to your grades?  A worrying trend is that many students do partake in assignments just for the sake of it. Though when looked at from a scholarly point of view, there is more to it than what meets the eye.  What’s more, is that how you partake in these tasks matters a lot.

1. Well, here are a few practical homework tips to keep in mind;

  • Planning is an important step to doing assignments
  • Always locate a quite place from audio-visual distractions
  • Gather all reference materials you will need before settling to work on an assignment to limit unnecessary movements
  • Consult with fellow classmates if need be
  • Consider checking out a good do homework for me
  • Research on a subject you don’t understand extensively beforehand
  • To save time, you can always start as soon as a task is assigned, start with difficult questions and wind up with easier ones

In the age of the internet, students looking for tips on how to go about these tasks can very well look out for a website that does their homework. There are many of them out there. However, taking note that assignments come in different kinds. It is important to know what sort of work you have been issued with before hiring an ideal helper.

2. A brief look at homework history and pertinent issues

Homework has become so much engraved into learning culture to an extent that it is practically impossible to do away with it. Further, pay someone to do your homework has become something attached to it. Things get more demanding as one climbs up the ladder of academia. Therefore you really must buckle up for challenges that come with it, be it doing things by one’s yourself or hiring a professional assignment helper.

3. Proponents of assignments have always argued from a moralistic point of view.

They say if left to idle while at home, students’ minds can easily become infiltrated with unruly morals. Therefore keeping them busy with assignments is the best thing to do.
On the other hand, those who are opposed to homework hold that students need time to rest from schoolwork, at least to avoid mental saturation. Cumulatively, all these have culminated into attitude change towards certain educational activities.  Though, handling assignments is not as demanding as it was in the 19th century, thanks to the internet.

4. By a click of the button

Students can access tons of information of any kind on any subject. This is good news to those looking for reliable help with my math homework agency. Eventualities such as school dropouts which marred learning in the early 20th century also led to a lot of questions. Particularly with regard to three or so hours which students spend every night at home doing assignments but with little to show for it.

Issues like recitation, memorization, and drilling were largely seen as some of the most unfortunate outcomes out of these tasks. Students could be asked to recite what they have done in their assignments, something which experts argued added no value to academic progress. Another issue that came to the fore was the mental health and well-being of children as experts argued that they couldn’t contain a lot of workloads. A revolutionary era was to be born when publications advocating for the abolishment of homework hit their peak in the 1900s.

While some districts in the U.S and other parts of the world did away with homework, strong belief on assignments, almost cultic or faith-like in nature is still being held by parents, teachers, and educators. This led to a revival of assignments and the reversal of some abolishment policies.

5. Some of the issues proponents of assignments advocated for include;

  • School work goes beyond the classroom
  • Value embedded on intrinsically intellectual activity and non-intellectual activities
  • Homework makes students more responsible
  • The belief that assignments are liked to how rigorous a curriculum is
  • Good educators are those who issue assignments

It is important to note that every assignment falls within a category, something which you should know as a student. Here are some notable ones:

  • Practical homework which are meant to help student learn and acquire certain skills
  • Preparation tasks which are about new things to be taught in future but can be learnt in advance
  • Extension assignment which seek application of skills and knowledge
  • Integration assignments are about application of skills to specific tasks such as research work

Best 5 Ways About How to Find Strength to Apologize

It happened – you did something wrong, and you understand you need to bring an apology, but you have no idea how to do it. We get how difficult it always is. You have to find the inner strength and bring down your pride – you just have to say it. If you wish to find out how to apologize properly and stay friends with the person offended by you, then keep on reading!

1. Express Remorse

Saying sorry is obligatory. You can talk for hours, but if you do not say the sacred word, it would be in vain. After you say: “I apologize,” you need to express remorse, namely explain what you have done wrong and how you feel about that now. Your words have to be sincere and authentic, otherwise, your speech would be pointless. If the person feels you are speaking to him/her only because you have to, but you do not feel like doing it, s/he would never forgive you. You have to undergo the situation and speak with all your heart. A good example is: “I am sorry I embarrassed you yesterday. I feel ashamed I behaved that low.”

2. Admit Responsibility

You have to show you understand the responsibility you had taken when you said those words or did those actions. You need to emphasize the offended person and explain that you understand how you made him/her feel. To say it sincerely, simply put yourself in that person’s shoes and try to live the situation again – how would it make you feel? If you really feel bad, share your feelings with the offended person – s/he would appreciate it. A good example would be: “I am really sorry that I embarrassed you yesterday in front of the whole office. I know how it feels to be exposed to the crowd in such a manner, and I feel really bad about what I did.”

3. Make Amends

Now that you made it clear how sorry you are, it is time for you to offer something to reclaim a fault. You have to offer something you can do for him/her, but it has to be really done in the future, that is why think twice before promising anything. Empty promises can bring even more harm, that is why you have to be really careful when saying them. A good example would be: “I realize that I was wrong when I said that you are no good in creating the text for the website. Tomorrow, I am going to admit my guilt publicly and say that you will handle the task amazingly. Will it work for you?”

4. Promise that It Will Never Repeat Again

You have to explain to the offended person that it will never repeat again. The person needs to be confident that your words are not empty, and once s/he forgives you, s/he will not have to go through this again. The important thing here is to sound convincing – you need to persuade the person in the seriousness of your motives to get over this conflict and live in peace with him/her. A good example here would be: “From now on, I will think twice before saying something. I will manage my stress and will never snap at you again. I feel really sorry this situation took place.”

5. Stick to Your Word

The most difficult part is not to lose the rebuilt trust. You have to stick to what you said and really control what you are doing and think about other people’s feelings. Because the situation takes place again, no one will ever accept your apology and you will win the fame of a mean person who cannot control your emotions. You might not lose respect, but you will lose the positive attitude from the environment you are in.

The last piece of advice for those who cannot say the words of apology is to write an apology letter. Yes, it is a hundred times worse than live communication, but it is at least something. To write is easier than to say, that is why to write down everything you feel and give it to the offended person.

Top 5 Unusual Ways How to Stay Positive Forever From Now

Positivity is so important. It means less medical problems, a longer life and – most obviously but still most importantly – that you are happier. The thing is, how do you actually become more positive? That’s the 10,000 dollar question, isn’t it?

So that’s what we’re going to look into today. Five unusual ways for you to stay positive and keep the misery at bay.

1. Work on your mental resilience

The opposite of depression, according to Peter Kramer, isn’t happiness. It’s mental fortitude. So if you want to be able to stay positive, make sure that’s what you work on. How do you do that?

  • Sleep enough. Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the happiest things that we can do. What’s more, when we get enough sleep we make certain that we’re far less likely to ruminate and will be far quicker to switch away from negative thought.
  • Eat well. Stay away from processed foods, sugars, and alcohol. Instead, aim at eating plenty of the omage-3, protein, as well as whole grains, beans, potatoes, vegetables and other minerals. Stock up on vitamins in the B C, D, and E range.
  • Exercice. I don’t really need to tell you that, do I?
  • Practice mindfulness. Really. Do. Mindfulness makes you better able to step away from negative emotions. So make sure you spend more time being aware of who you are and that you are not your thoughts and emotions.

2. Give

Did you know that giving makes the giver happier than the receiver? That’s right. So, become more generous with your time and your money and you’ll find your life becoming most positive – both because you are giving and because you are sure to feel valued.

Start with what I call ‘random acts of kindness ’. Help somebody in the grocery line. Give a big bill to a particularly good street musician (the arts need to get sustained after all), help out at a school, a charity or a church. It doesn’t matter how you do it, as long as you do it. Make both yourself and the world more positive.

3. Realize positivity is internal

We often get so obsessed with the world outside of our heads that we forget that happiness and positivity are only a matter of how we perceive the world. So make more time to work on that perception.

That means, taking ‘you’ time where you shut out the outside world through such practices as yoga or meditation or gratitude writing. So do not worry if you cannot – it is what you get from it, not what you put on paper and focus on your mental landscape.

It also means learning that how the outside world affects your inner harmony is largely a matter of perception.

For example, if during a bank robbery you get shot in the shoulder you could see that as an example of bad luck (you got shot) or of good luck (you didn’t get killed). The former will make the experience negative.  The latter will make it positive. Which one you choose to accept as your perception of the events as they transpired will decide how you view that event.

4. Focus on experiences rather than things

Money on time spent on experience have more bang for their buck than the same money spent on things. So, don’t buy a new couch when you’ve got one that’s perfectly alright. Instead, go on a holiday with the family.

Sure, you might think that the holiday will mean the money is gone and the couch will stick around for a very long time indeed, but is that actually accurate? After all, a lot of our lives are lived through our memories and a good memory can be incredibly valuable, both in terms of how you see the world as well as your relationships with – for example – your family.

The good will and good memories that you create during experiences can last a long time, far beyond when you’ve gotten used to the new couch and no longer really pay attention to it.

5. Realize the difference between status and happiness

A lot of the time when we think we’re pursuing happiness – like when we try to get a better job, get that new car, or buy a bigger house – we’re actually pursuing status. Now, don’t misunderstand, status has its uses. People with high status can get a lot of things done and can get people to do a lot of things for them.

Still, they are not the same thing and it is important that you realize when you’re pursuing one or the other. How do you know? It’s quite easy. When the underlying motivation is to impress others and the main route to happiness is other people’s appraisal of you, then you’re pursuing status.

If on the other hand, it’s just about how you feel about yourself, then it’s a matter of happiness.

Being able to differentiate between these two will mean that you can choose when you’re going to pursue your own positivity and when you’re just trying to get a leg up on the people around you.

Why is this important? Because status is a zero sum game. That means that when you gain status, the people around you have to drop in the regard of others. And that makes sense, after all, we’re all competing for the same mental real estate.

Happiness, on the other hand, is not zero sum. When I’m happier, you don’t need to be less happy. We can both be happier together. So, in the long run focusing on making ourselves and those people around us happier rather than higher status will create far more positivity. And that has to be what it’s all about, doesn’t it?

Last words

Positivity is a state of mind. Sure, that might sound banal, but that doesn’t make it less true. For that reason, the best place to seek positivity is within yourself, rather than in the world around you. That doesn’t mean the world around you doesn’t matter, but it matters far less than you might realize.

That’s why some monks – who live a life of abstinence and self-denial – are far more positive than the average person in society will ever be. They’ve realized that it’s all about having the right outlook in life and rather than focusing on having more, they focus on feeling more.

If you can embrace that, then nobody will ever be able to take the positivity and happiness away from you again.

When you want to build a house, you do it one brick at a time. Every brick is progress. In some things you do in life, it might be hard to see how far you’ve come. You sometimes feel that you must see your results sooner rather than later. Even so, you are taking steps forward. Even if they are small steps, you are still moving.

The journey you embark on when you want to reach a new destination is a process and not a single event. If your goal means something important to you, you’ll have to take some steps to achieve it. You will learn what works and what doesn’t work and you might see that in many cases you will run into situations that don’t turn out the way you would like. Keep in mind that all of these are important lessons that you must learn in this process.

From time to time, when you take a break from the things that you’re doing, pat yourself on the back for doing what needs to be done. Remember not to spend so much time looking at what you still have to do that you forget to be grateful for the progress that you’ve made so far.

“I’m capable of doing it.”

One of the biggest obstacles you’re going to face in your journey is self-doubt. When you start to doubt if you can do a certain thing, in that exact moment you will start to think that it might be impossible to accomplish. When you start doing something, you must believe in yourself and be sure that you are capable of doing it. You might find it difficult to focus, you might feel tensed, but you must never let anything negative convince you that you’re not capable of doing something.

Seek to acknowledge your past victories by talking about them, even if the only one listening is you. State some facts, some proof that you are great and you can make things happen. Even speak about them out loud: “I have overcome that difficulty!”, “I’ve been able to swim that distance without stopping!”, “People at work love the way I speak in front of them!”…you got the idea. Once you give a positive voice to your past victories, you will discover the strength you need to do the things you need to do to make today into another success story.

“I have all that I need to be happy”

You will find that the happiest people don’t have a lot of things and they aren’t doing very well in the luck department. They’re happy just because they make the most of the things they have in their life right now. I find very often that people are unhappy because they focus their attention on the things that are missing in their lives and not on the things that they have right now.

What would happen if you would suddenly stop wishing you had more? Stop desiring to be in some place that you’re not. Stop wishing that you looked like someone else. You have things right now in your life that some people only dream of having. So stand up, take a deep breath, and say: “I am grateful that I’m alive right now.” Look around you and see all the things you have and all the things you can do right now. You have so much to be grateful for…

“The choice belongs to me.”

In the end, the way you feel and think about a situation you’re in is influenced by the choices you make and not by the skills you have. What you become is shaped by your choices.

When you’re in a tough situation, look at yourself and say: “The choice belongs to me. I’m in this situation for a reason. After I learn my lesson, I will make better choices”.

“I will start today!”

It’s pretty hard to create something beautiful if you keep dreaming about things that you’ll do someday. If you want to create something, start talking about it, write it on paper, and make your first step today. I want you to know that a goal is more than just a way of thinking. In fact, if you think about it, if you set a goal and never do anything in that direction, it’s like lying to yourself.

Start by making your decisions a real thing in your life and treat them with the corresponding respect, time, and energy that they deserve. That’s because in the end, you can think all day long about the things that you want to do, what matters is what you actually create. Whatever you want to make happen, think about the thing that you can do today and do it!

“Can I help you with that?”

Good will always be rewarded with good. You will find that the unhappiest people are those who mainly think about their own well-being, always thinking about themselves. On the other hand, many people find happiness and joy in the things they do for others. I found that when I do something for others, I feel a beautiful sensation of happiness. And guess what? While I concentrate my effort on others, I find that when I need some help, I receive it quite quickly.

When the day is over and you lie down to rest, if you know in your heart that you helped someone even in a small way, then you have something to smile about.

The seventh thought from the 7 positive thoughts you should have every day is: ” … “

The fact that there is nothing written in the title of this section is no mistake. It represents nothingness… total silence. When you’re silent, you can hear the silence around you. How every sound is born from silence and how it returns to silence, only to be born again. When you are silent, you can hear yourself think. But you might find something interesting: each silent moment is different. Have you ever heard the silence when you walk on a road in the mountains? Or when during a movie or a theatrical piece, a great thing is about to happen? Or when you arrive at your favorite holiday destination and you take a look around to rediscover the place?

Yes, each silent moment is different and if you listen carefully, you will discover that all are beautiful. So take the time to enjoy the silence between the sounds. Just say nothing…
