One of the most anxiety-triggering factors that stress an individual is paying off massive debts. Some people who are in this dilemma might lose hope or might get depressed thinking that being stuck means unable to recover. But, think about it closely, debt does not really hurt at all. It is the shame that people might cause you if you won’t be able to pay your debt, most likely if it is borrowed from a person. How bad as it may seem, is there any way to treat this seemingly failure into something good? This article finds a way to share with some important insights on how to stay positive amidst paying off massive debt.
Check your
Credit Report
In order to stay positive, you have to see reality first. People are usually mistaken to only focus on the delusional zero debt without doing something. To see the reality means you see your credit report which contains your good and bad records of your financial history. If you don’t have a copy then order your report first. In the report, check if your standing is good as presented by the credit rating and good remarks. Likewise, see also if there are missed payments and negative remarks. Pay close attention to the terms of payment and the amount assigned. In doing this, you are practically dissecting your debt in bits making it more possible to pay-off.
Earn More
Obviously, if your debt is massive then you also need a massive source of income. If your current job doesn’t make you earn that can pay off your debt, then add a sideline or sell something. In this area, you may prefer to maximize your hobbies or interest. More than that, you can save something from your salary and allocate it in an investment facility that has the capacity to make your money grow. What you earn from this is called a passive income. It is passive because it is the money that is working for you. Hence, by having more than one source of income adds to your confidence and makes you stay positive.
Spend less
To double the effort, spend less than what you can. Some people have a bad habit when they earn big they also spend big. Worse, some earn only a little but spends big. If you are like this, then it becomes problematic. However, when you increase your income and lessen your expenditures it gives you more sources to allocate in paying off your debt. As result, without you knowing, your debt is over and you have increased your savings coming off the excess. You may now use it in things more productive for you.
Aim for the
Goal
Most people paying off debt are only focused on the debt. Meaning they work only to pay their debts and this is something to regret if you are in this position. But, to stay positive, instead of focusing on paying a debt, why not focus on achieving goals. These goals maybe some of your ambitions or dreams like travel or house or something to look forward. Consequently, you make yourself feeling excited and motivated rather than become anxious about your debt. Besides, it is happier to work hard for something you like, than work out something so that you can escape.
Develop a
Growth Mindset
Debts could be devastating but it’s all in the mind. Most people are preconditioned that you have loans then you are doomed already. However, debts are just like roads wherein you will just pass by it and it will be over. Meaning to say, you may treat your debts as part of the hurdles for you to pass on and become victorious in the end. By overcoming this, it will contribute a significant level of change and maturity. So develop a growth mindset and aim for continuous development.
Conclusion
Debts may not be detrimental by far because we can still stay positive despite it. Being positive means choosing to be one. It is not something that you feel out of experiencing something. You can stay positive by focusing on reality, adding something valuable, and lessen the cause of the problem. Just like happiness, it is always a choice. Everyone can choose to be happy. That’s why even in debt, you can still enjoy life.

Have you ever faced a situation when the day comes to an end, but you still haven’t finished the text that you have planned for today? You can blame yourself, your fate, your client, or a house elf. But in fact, most of such undone tasks lie in the lack of focus.
Nowadays, it is a great deal to focus on one
task. Every time you start doing something, the phone starts to vibrate from
the flow of incoming messages and notifications from social networks. Also,
when you use the internet, you are surrounded by various temptations. I
frequently suffer from the following thing: I start writing the article, then I
open a browser to find more information on the topic, and finally, I find
myself reading about deoxyribonucleic acid after an hour. Sounds familiar?
Nearly all of us dream of a universal recipe
that will make us stay focused, write immediately and productively. In truth,
though, there is none. I have tried out various methods found over the internet
and want to share with you those that have worked in my case. Maybe, my
experience will help you get more focused and tuned into writing.
1. Clean up the workplace
Your workplace may directly affect your productivity. Favorite mini-figures of superheroes, family photos, a bunch of colored papers, tangled cables, a couple of unfinished cups of coffee. Don’t give the mess a chance to get rid of you!
Messy or clean desktop – is an endless battle. Some people claim that disorder helps them generate an idea and they just don’t want to waste their time cleaning. Scientists have found out that a messy environment affects your ability to focus, so if you want to be more concentrated on your tasks, keep your workplace clean.
Get cables in order, buy the most beautiful cup and make it one and only for your drinks, and keep only the necessary things on your table. Use organizers to store your writing stuff and materials in one place and by hand. If you enjoy keeping hand-written notes, inspirational phrases, and pictures before eyes, use inspirational boards that you can buy in-store or make by yourself. Hang it near your workplace and enjoy!
Cleaning your table from useless and
distracting things will clean your thoughts and tune into the work. Let
cleaning the workplace be your everyday ritual.
2. Tidy up the desktop from applications and files
In the ideal world files like Untitled1.doc or
Mind_Blowing_Article_v.2.0 are renamed and kept in the appropriate folder on
your computer, not on your desktop. I have a bad habit of storing current (and
old) files on my desktop. But when I finally put everything in the right place,
I can’t help feeling the freshness and inspiration.
Compare these two screenshots of before cleaning and after. Feel the difference?
It is a good habit to make a big clean-up on your computer once a week or month. Clean the desktop and downloads the directory, delete old files and duplicated documents. I prefer to place the necessary application shortcuts in the taskbar for quick access.
3. Mute your mobile phone
It’s hard not to check your phone every hour. Recent research from Deloitte has shown that Americans check their phones52 times a day. Checking your phone gives you a false feeling of consuming new information and being needed. It comforts us when we are annoyed, upset or when we are bored. At the same time, it distracts us from really important things like writing.
Unless you are waiting for an urgent call, turn your mobile off. At least turn off notifications. Nowadays, most phones have an option to pick the contacts you wish to receive calls and messages from.
If you have an iPhone, you can use a “do not disturb” feature. To manage this feature, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb. Here you can set a specific time when you want to turn off notifications. Also, you can create a list of important contacts to receive calls from them. Check your phone for similar features.
If you still feel the passion for checking
your mobile, try to reduce this habit with a new one. For example, I write
several random phrases or words on paper sheets and move to the trash.
4. Block time-consuming websites
How much time do you spend on Facebook, Pinterest, and other time-wasting websites? On the one hand, many of them may be helpful for finding necessary information and inspiration for your articles. On the other side, it turns into a monster that eats time when you need to focus on writing.
To get rid of such websites, use one of the
following extensions for the Chrome browser:
StayFocused,Strict
Workflow –
block the list of websites that distract you from work. You can manage the list
by adding and deleting websites. The application is based on the Pomodoro
technique that aims to improve productivity by alternating 25 minutes of work
and 5 minutes of break.
You can find similar extensions for other browsers in the productivity extensions section. And one more recommendation. Don’t keep several browsers on your computer. You may be tempted to open the desired website in another one.
5. Use simple text editing applications and online services
The primary aim of every writer is to write the text. If you are tired of the additional features and the bulk interface of your current text editor, try to use simple online editors and programs. Here are the most popular programs and charge-free services:
Calmly Writer. It’s an online text editor and also works as a Chrome extension. When you launch Calmly Writer, it will show you only the text entry area and nothing else. The format bar appears after you select the text. To access other options, you will need to click the menu button. The application automatically saves the document after you make any change. As a bonus for those who are in love with typewriters, you can turn on the typewriter sound.
FocusWriter. It is a simple writing environment available for Linux, Windows, and macOS. A simple interface, distraction-free writing text field, and intuitive design will be a savior for those who strive for simplicity. It’s free of charge and will meet the most demanding requirements of essay writers.
Zen Pen. Another one simple online text editor without superpowers. You have an option to save your text on your computer, format the text, set target word count, and switch day/night writing mode. Developers guarantee you a minimum of distractions.
6. Set deadlines and plan your time ahead
All great things start with careful planning. The plan helps to know your strength, stay focused on current tasks, and do everything on time. Planning is essential both for your work and personal life.
Take a habit to make to-do lists every day. If you are writing a voluminous work, write in parts and set daily goals for the word count. It’s a perfect formula for being a productive writer. Also, set the deadline. For many people, the deadline is the best tool to make something happen. So if you set yourself a deadline for a specific task – you raise the chance to do it.
Use the most convenient planning tool: notebook, planner, calendar, browser extension, or desktop/mobile application. Here are the most popular tools:
Googlecalendar. A classic tool for planning all spheres of your life. Available nearly on all devices has an intuitive interface and a great list of options.
Todoist. It’s a time-planner available as a mobile application, browser extension, and as a taskbar on PC and Mac. It’s a great tool to gather your recent and prospective tasks and goals in one place.
Wunderlist. A simple to-do list. Application available on various devices: iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Chrome, and Kindle.
TeamweekButton. This extension will be helpful for those who work with services like GitHub, GitLab, Trello, Jira, Asana, Bitbucket, and Podio.
Win the Day. An eye-catchy Chrome extension that may help you achieve short- and long-term goals. You can set goals, daily targets, track the progress, and implement new habits.
7. Listen to the music
When your neighbors are too loud, or traffic sounds make you feel irritated, you need something to stay focused. The music can be a rescue. You may find out that one music serves well for brainstorming, while other help you keep doing routine tasks. Try out playlists created by other people or create one on your own. Experiment with music styles and find one that works for you the best.
8. Use a recorder
It’s a great way to record your thoughts while doing various things. For example, if you suddenly have caught a brilliant idea while writing an article, record it on a dictaphone. On the one hand, you can open a new file on your computer or write it by hand on a piece of paper. But I prefer to use a voice recorder – it’s my single place for my ideas and inspiration. It is easier to come back to writing after talking than turning from one writing to another. As if I will start writing something new, I will skip doing what I have planned. If you suffer from the same thing, try a voice recorder.
9. Learn to meditate
Meditation and mindfulness have become an essential part of those who keep with the progressive evolution. Today, many people practice meditation: office workers, artists, soldiers, scientists, athletes, and other people. It is an excellent non-pharmacological tool that helps improve attention, memory, verbal functions, and cognitive flexibility. Meditation is easy and doesn’t require specific knowledge. You can use meditation at your workplace, in the park, or on the way home. You won’t look strange or suspicious. If you haven’t practiced it yet, try it now!
Choose a comfortable position: sit or lie. Keep your back straight if you sit.
Breathe deeply. Mentally go through every part of your body with every breath you take. Start from the tips of your shoes and move up to the top of your head.
Try to feel all your body parts. Relax your body and fuel it with energy. Feel the warmth and calmness.
You can use such applications as Current, which will remind you when it’s time to meditate. Make it your habit.
Summing Up
All the methods from this article are a part of my daily struggle for being focused and productive. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. All in all, we are not machines. Try out different productivity approaches, experiment, and find those that work for you best. What does help you stay focused? What methods have you already tried?
Bio: Florence Clark is an aspiring writer and passionate traveler. Become a professional journalist is her biggest dream.
Balancing work life and personal life is hectic enough, but throw travel into the mix and suddenly it’s a whirlwind that’s tough to handle. If you’re traveling for work or simply trying to squeeze in a vacation in the midst of life, it’s time to take control. Putting self-care at the center is absolutely vital. If you’re not taking care of your health, everything from work to life to your travel plans will suffer.
Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to incorporate some self-care love
into the busiest of routines. Here are six ways to make it happen:
Upgrade your ride. If you have a long commute or are starting to travel by car regularly, the space you inhabit means a great deal. Upgrading toa spacious sedan or SUV can increase your comfort and safety while on the road. A lot of people are facing longer and longer commutes, sometimes spending hours on the road every day. If those hours are miserable, that sets the stage for the entire day.
Choose hotels or home shares that give you what you need. If you have a great gym routine at home but never find time to squeeze in a session when you’retraveling, why not? Make sure you choose a hotel that has a decent gym or a home share that is close to a gym where you have a membership. When getting to the gym is just as easy while traveling as it is while you’re at home, you can find the time.
Make sure your commute time is well spent. You already know what stresses you as well as what brings you peace or joy. If the news stresses you out, don’t turn on the news station during your trip. Commutes and long drives can be a time to catch up on podcasts, listen to a joy-inducing soundtrack, or listen to an audiobook. If you’re traveling with others, it can also be a time to bond with fellow passengers. Take conscious measures to reduce your stress while driving and actually put this time to use.
Packlike a pro. How are your packing skills? They could probably be better, and making your packing tighter and faster is a great little self-care perk. You’ll be able to more easily carry your luggage and won’t have to worry about missing anything. If you make packing lists, get organized and choose items to regularly carry that are lightweight and durable. This last tip can make your packing just a little bit easier.
Squeeze in some meditation. Meditation can be done anywhere and nearly at any time. It helps to clear themind and focus. Depending on the type of meditation, you can also calm yourselfor get energized. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and first thing in the morningis a great time to clear some meditation time. When traveling, it can seemdifficult to make time for meditation. However, meditation can also be achievedwhile walking. You can combine exercise with a meditation session.
Travelling is something that people either love or loathe, right? Many people spend their days dreaming about the next time they jet off, whilst others can’t see it far enough. Regardless of how you feel about travelling abroad on your next trip, I’m sure you’ll want to minimise any potential hiccups along the way, take a look at these things you might not yet know about travelling abroad and simply by being aware, your next trip abroad should hopefully run a little smoother.
1. Travel Can Lower Stress
I mean, we could all do with being a little less stressed every now and then, couldn’t we? Well here’s some good news for you— believe it or not, travelling does come hand in hand with a lot of health benefits and one of these benefits is that is can reduce stress. Yes, this is a little confusing as most of us experience increased stress levels when navigating through the airport and trying to catch our flights.
However, if you look at the bigger picture, you will understand that travel can do you a world of good. When we are abroad, we tend to relax, allowing us to come back down to reality and tune into our inner thoughts and feelings. This then gives you time to focus on who really are, what really matters in your life and it encourages you to let go of any negativity you may have.
2. Travel Can Make You Fitter
When travelling, you will become much more active. It’s something that you don’t have very much control of as you’ve got to do some walking and maybe even running in order to get to your destination. Many people associate travelling with eating lots of specialty dishes and trying new, calorific things that you’re not used to eating. I mean, we are all guilty of doing this more than once, aren’t we? But if you want to keep fit it’s completely up to you to keep it up and try your very best to resist the mouth-watering meals that you could easily overindulge on.
3. Your Creativity Can Be Increased By Travelling
We all know the struggle of trying to get our creative caps on, it’s not an easy thing to do at all. Somedays the creative ideas will come to us without very little thought, but other days we face a total mind blank and can’t think of a single thing to create, it’s normal though and it happens to everyone.
Travelling abroad opens a brand new door that has a ton of creative ideas behind it. Many famous creative writers, drawers, musicians and filmmakers will book themselves a trip abroad when they feel like they need some inspiration for their work and more times than one, they say that some of their best work is created when abroad. The scenery, the temperature, the atmosphere and so much more can play a huge part on your creativity, allowing you to get lost in your work and produce a masterpiece.
4. Your Career Prospects Can Be Improved By Travelling
So you can improve your career prospects by travelling abroad? Ok, I’ll be on the next flight out of here, thank you! I mean, seriously, how amazing is that?! Of course, you will need to be wise when travelling and push yourself to learn new things and meet new people if you want to improve your chance of landing a dream job. Unfortunately, heading on a lads holiday or staying in a spa during the duration of your time abroad will not get you too far and your career prospects won’t be much different to what they are now.
You have complete control of making this happen though. When heading abroad, simply learn the language of the country you are travelling to and you will instantly become more employable. You don’t need to be fluent, but if you try your best to learn the basics and mention this in your next job interview, then you could be waving goodbye to your current job and saying hello to something shiny and new!
5. Shipping Your Luggage Abroad Can Save You Time & Money
This is something that I am forever telling people about and once they take my advice, they never look back! Using a luggage shipping company to transport your belongings abroad can save you both time and money. Nobody wants to pay expensive excess baggage fees, it can totally ruin any excitement you have for your trip and then having to trail these heavy bags to the airport, then onto a train, bus or taxi to your destination can be a total pain. Shipping your luggage abroad means you an travel stress and luggage free, why would you reject that offer?! Oh and best of all, it’s completely affordable!
6. It Comes With A Feeling Of Accomplishment
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment in life and knowing that you have done something successfully. We’re often too hard on ourselves and many of us lead busy lifestyles, which has meant that the little things that we accomplish often go unnoticed. When travelling, this isn’t the case, you feel proud of yourself every step of the way. Travelling is a pretty big and brave thing to do, regardless of where you are going and who will or won’t be going with you. If you are able to get up and travel to another country, then do it and don’t feel bad for taking time off work or avoiding your long to-do list. Instead, accept the feelings of accomplishment that you get throughout your trip and be proud of yourself.

Traveling is by far one of the best ways to become a better person. Though, in this day and age, it has been reduced mostly to lounging on a beach and setting aside your personal life for a few days. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it seems the true spiritual nature of traveling has been forgotten. Losing yourself on foreign land can light up various fires within you, ones you didn’t even know existed. Traveling helps you regain the connection you hold with your inner self which is often neglected due to our busy lifestyles. What’s more, it makes you appreciate the Earth more than anything else.
1. You become more open-minded with every step
Traveling means that you’ll encounter numerous different people and cultures. Most of those you’ve only heard of and read about, which means that you don’t have all the facts straight. There is a lot of prejudice surrounding cultures different from our own and getting to know the unfamiliar is the most effective way to fight them.
Being open-minded and tolerant to ways different to your own makes you grow as a person and allows you to experience life to the fullest. What’s more, it gives you lots of different perspectives on life, essential for understanding it. Finally, it blesses you with new friends from all over the world.
2. It reminds you to stay humble
Throughout your life, you’ve probably been told how special and unique you are. That’s not false, but this statement usually makes us forget that other people are just as special and capable as we are. Because that perspective is lost, it can lead to an arrogant and unhealthy attitude.
Travelling reminds you that you aren’t the only one who’s amazing and worthy of the world. Nobody owes you anything, and if you want something you have to put in an effort. It keeps you grounded and level-headed, helping you to appreciate what you have and what you are yet to gain. Being humble is the key to success and maintaining healthy relationships with those around you.
3. It teaches you not to waste your money
In our daily lives, we spend money pretty freely and don’t pay much attention to it. That’s probably why we always complain about how we’re out of money again. When traveling, you face this problem head-on. You need to be frugal and save your money if you want to have a good trip.
It also reminds you that you can live without all the luxuries you surround yourself with and will help you stay within a healthy budget when you come home, too. Traveling is more about gaining experiences than spending money, and this is something you’ll transfer to your daily life almost subconsciously. Then you’ll have a life that doesn’t revolve around money and more opportunity for new adventures.
4. It inspires you to be more eco-friendly
When you go on a real spiritual journey, you reconnect with nature. Leaving the urban setting is a great reminder of how beautiful our Earth is and how much can be done to preserve such beauty. After you’ve returned from your trip, you’ll remember to do everything you can to help nature stay intact.
There are many ways to get close and personal with nature, but the walking tours in Tasmania just might be the most intimate encounter there is. When you walk through the wonders of the land on foot, you experience it wholly. Taking any other means of transportation takes away the feeling of truly being one with nature. After all, encounters such as this are something you’ll never forget.
5. It awakens the adventurer within
Whether you’re traveling alone or in a group, one this is for sure- the adrenaline is addicting. Unfamiliar soil wakes up your natural instincts and heightens your senses. In your home environment, you’re used to the things the way they are and don’t see any new challenges.
When you’re traveling, you need to keep your eyes open all the time. Everything you do is a new adventure, even if it’s just getting from point A to point B. That gets your adrenaline going like nothing else, and once you’ve had a taste, you’ll always want more. That’ll push you to be more courageous and will give you the confidence to face new problems head-on.
Conclusion
If anything can be concluded from this it’s that traveling isn’t just luxurious hotels and endless applying of sunscreen. It can have a real effect on changing who you are and the world around you. Therefore, choose your adventures based on their mindful significance, and watch yourself bloom into a better person. This way, you’ll improve your life as much as the lives of those around you, and will also contribute to making the world a better place.
A lot of writers often find themselves stuck without any inspiration or new ideas. This is not news to those who have been writing for a while. At first, you are full of ideas because it is a new venture, but with time this may dwindle. It is important for a writer to remain focused and find inspiration, almost on a daily basis. Even if you are passionate about the craft, creative writing does not always just happen. You need something to inspire you for creative writing and we found the best ways.
1. Books
It is no secret that reading can help spark creativity. Read something new and out of your normal genre. I would go as far as finding a book in a foreign language and using online translation services. This is exciting and every culture has a different way of expressing events.
2. Movies
You can watch a great movie without feeling guilty. Often times these movies can inspire us or give us a new idea. Writers can find inspiration anywhere and be laying on the couch, watching a good movie is one of those places.
3. Music
Put on your favorite song and listen to every word or every beat. Music has a way of bringing out emotions we never even knew were there. These emotions are what sparks inspiration.
4. Nature
Go on a hike and spend some time in nature. You will get a good workout in and appreciate your surroundings. There is something magical and mystical that happens when we spend time outdoors.
5. Travel
With all the online translations you have access to, you can travel to just about anywhere. New cultures, food, languages, and environments can help us break free from the dreaded writer’s block.
6. Poetry
The way words flow in poetry can range from romantic to devastating. A lot of writers find inspiration by reading poetry. It is effective and there is always something to be experienced emotionally when reading poetry.
7. Meditation
Did you know that quieting the mind has a lot of power? We are over thinkers and spending time in pure silence is beneficial to our creative side. It allows our brains and emotions to stabilize, opening it up to new ideas.
8. Freewriting
There is so much power in writing without thinking too much. Just spend a few minutes writing about whatever comes to mind. It is freeing and fun for every writer. We constantly have a specific set of rules attached to writing, but every now and then, spend some time freewriting.
9. Art
This can be simply looking at a good art piece or trying your hand at it. Take on an art project that you can use at times when you feel a little flat. Visit a museum from time to time. It provides tons of inspiration.
10. Have fun
Get a new hobby or do something that you absolutely enjoy. Looking for an online document translator is not a hobby, but rather something that will make you feel happy inside.
11. Sleep
When our minds are tired we struggle to focus, let alone find inspiration. Make sure you get an adequate amount of sleep. You will also be surprised at the amount of inspiration you can find lying in bed.
12. Wait
Sometimes all you have to do is give it a little bit of time. These moments when we don’t have inspiration are usually short-lived. Take some time out from trying to come up with a new idea for a day or so and your inspiration will resurface.

At some point in life, many people contemplate penning an autobiography. These memoirs usually describe life lessons – good or bad. In particular, they state how they might have fared better if only they knew better!
If you are one of those thinking individuals, you will dig such personalized narratives. COX Internet plan, offering COX Internet speeds access a wide array of such narratives!
Coming Full Circle…
As a retired stock-market investor, I got lucky and inherited a sizeable portion of wealth from a deceased relation. I expanded it via Wall Street trading. A friend suggested me to write my own brief life report. I thought long & hard about something worthwhile and meaningful to write. Finally, I knew what I wanted to write about. I remembered when I first started out in the investment business. I was young and felt so lost. I wish someone had advised me then.
The complete chronicle is over 500 pages long. However, I am going to focus on the three different pointers. I believe these form the basis for each phase of anyone’s life – student, young professional, married with a family.
Before you enter professional life, first, go for TEFL course online. Choose certification to appear in the exams today. This will put you on the right track. Online education is cheaper than the traditional education. Furthermore, these are convenient especially when you are working. These two are the main advantages of online learning. If you want to earn a degree or certificate, opt for online platforms.
Certification exams provide a measurement of knowledge and skills. When employers are looking to hire this is an important determining factor. It’s good to earn certificates in the field you are interested in. A differentiator to counter the competition. When you go for an interview, the competition is frequently stiff. If you have the certification, as compared to the other person, you have a definite edge.
It also shows to the employer that you are always eager to improve. Learning is a value in itself, and those around you will admire you for it.
1. Don’t Make the End Your Everything
When you are young, you are swaying between extremes of abject failure and worldly success. This is a significant concern when you are trying to prove yourself out there.
In the ‘pursuit of happiness’, you work hard to get through college. Then comes the search for a steady job. Over the years, you lose sight of the fast declining present. Your health, age, human relationships development & other life-experiences diminish.
This is certainly, what happened to me! I did end up achieving almost everything -impressive bank balances, million dollar estates, fine cars- and the usual bling. But, I also managed to miss out a lot.
If I could go back to my younger self, I would take off the ambition hat. I would stop and look around at the world too. I would travel, make more friends, and enjoy life. I would take better care of myself.
2. Be Patient with Money
When I started out as a young investor, I was impatient to increase financial gains fast. Only after losing money on several ill-timed mutual fund schemes, I learned to make more money.
My best investments, in hindsight, have been those that have remained fixed inside company’s shareholders’ vaults for at least a period of 10 years. The bad ones, I chose to liquidate into cash after a few short months.
In retrospect, I should have kept that money invested. Maybe then, I would have a Forbes multi-millionaires profile of my own!
3. Human Relations Are Real Life Investment
Having ambitions is not bad. Nevertheless, when you’re ruthlessly involved in making money, you lose sight of what’s important in life. You become completely indifferent to your family and friends.
To my astonishment, I later found that money alone could not guarantee my personal happiness. Loneliness would still creep up as a stifling influence on my mind and emotions. I was lonelier than before! My solitary preoccupation with money broke up my marriage. It left my only child estranged from me. He could not stand a father devoid of all endearing emotion and expression.
Therefore, here’s my advice to my younger self, and all young people. Stay out of the rat race. Take a break occasionally. Do not neglect your loved ones even for a day. Because we all need human connections to survive & enjoy our fortunes with.
A final piece of advice for my younger self
There is no way around education. Continuing education is an investment of time & resources. It helps provide recognition for your specialized skill set and knowledge. When it comes to landing certain jobs and positions like teach English in China your level of education can be a significant benefit!

Yes, there is. If you want to improve your academic performance in college, make sure you are getting enough sleep. According to a recent study by the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and McGill University in Montreal, students who get enough sleep score better in languages and math.
This is not the only study that backs this claim. Several medical and scientific studies link sleep and grades. In another scientific studypublished in 2017, it was revealed that college students with a consistent sleep schedule are more likely to secure higher grades compared to those who do not follow a strict sleep schedule.
These studies reveal that not only having enough sleep is vital for students, but it is also necessary to follow a strict sleep schedule. As a student, you have to make sure that you are going to bed and waking up at a consistent time.
Why is Sleep so Important for Higher Grades?
With advanced scientific research, it is now common knowledge that the quality of sleep has an impact on our lifestyle, work productivity, and our ability to learn. Sleep quality plays a major role in improving memory, language learning, problem-solving skills, executive functions, and the ability to learn complex concepts.
There is more to the link between sleep and grades. You also need to understand there is a difference between “long sleep” and “quality sleep”, both having different effects. The studies show that long sleep is related to the improvement of academic results, while quality or deep sleep is linked with overall cognitive performance.
Make sure to not only sleep for 8-9 hours but also ensure you are sleeping in an environment that allows uninterrupted sleep.
The Challenge for College Students
The issue here is – college and university life is not easy for students. Most students not only attend college but also work in their spare time to meet their expenses. Moreover, they also have to make time to prepare for their examinations and to prepare assignments.
In most cases, the tough daily routine makes it almost impossible for students to have enough sleep. In the United States, college students on average get 6 hours of sleep per night, while most remain sleep-deprived throughout their college years, resulting in poor grades.
According to health experts, a college student must have 8 hours of quality sleep. Lack of sleep does not only impact grades, but also overall health, both physical and psychological.
What is the Solution for Students?
The best way to ensure enough sleep is to bring balance to your life. While it is a fact that life for students is tough, especially for those who also work while studying, but there are ways you can manage your time more effectively.
Finding Jobs that are Easier and Allows Multitasking
Commuting between college and the workplace often consumes a lot of time. The easier solution is to find online jobs that can be done by students. There are a lot of opportunities available online that allows students to work from their home.
For example, students can work as virtual assistants, email support, customer support, online chat, bloggers, essay writers, data entry specialists, web researchers, etc.
All these jobs not only save you time, as you can perform these jobs online from your room but also allows you to study at the same time. For example, if you are working as a virtual assistant, you can easily switch between your study and your work.
You can increase your sleep hours as you don’t have to travel between your work and college anymore.
Delegate More
Most students stay up late in the night just to complete their essay writing and other assignments. To counter this, many seek help.
If you are spending too much time with your friends and staying late at night just to party, it is time to limit it at least for college years. As a student, you need a good night’s sleep. Limit the nightlife to weekends only.
In addition, you also need to limit the consumption of energy drinks, coffee, and other sugary beverages that have a negative impact on your sleep. Similarly, limit the use of the computer or mobile devices, especially in the nighttime. Exposure to the blue light emitting from digital screens severely affects the quality of our sleep and causes sleeplessness.
Conclusion
Every student has one goal, to achieve higher grades, but if you are not having enough sleep, it often becomes impossible. Many students don’t realize that there is a strong link between sleep and grades. It is now a scientific fact. So make sure to set your priorities right, manage your lifestyle, and make sure to have enough time to sleep for at least 8 hours each night.

Everyone wants to be happy and have success in life. However, it depends mainly on our attitude to others, to life and to ourselves. In particular, many people act as victims. Something is wrong and they feel that everything is playing against them or being stuck in the routine.
Whatever the reason, people who behave like victims are often depressed, negative and apologetic about their fate. They can be aggressive with others and with themselves. Unfortunately, it’s a terrible vicious circle. It’s also useless – feeling pity has never solved much.
What do you need?
Develop a positive attitude – a positive outlook on life. It is from this moment that you begin your journey towards a happier life. In fact, I would say even more: if you have a positive attitude then it is almost impossible to return to a vicious circle, as above.
Everyone has goals and aspirations in life. To be able to achieve one’s goals, you must have the right tools. Although some tools require special skills in some areas, often the most powerful ways are the simplest and are adaptable to any situation.
A positive mental attitude is part of these powerful tools and can be used to reach your dreams and greatest desires in life. There are 6 aspects to take into account to get a positive view of life. Here’s a quick summary of these 6 features, and some easy-to-use tips for you to be at the top of each of these areas and help you change your attitude easily.
Health
Perspective
Gratitude
Social Environment
Have a tattoo that reminds you peace
Listening to emotions
1. A healthy life – You are what you eat
I cannot stress enough the importance of living a healthy life. Seriously, if you always feel tired, hungry, fragile, chances are you will not be very positive! Healthy living involves a good diet and exercise: you need both to feel good.
By drinking a lot of coffee or energy drinks like Red Bull and eating foods that are too sweet, your energy and mood will change more than in roller coasters. It’s hard to stay positive when you’re short on sugar and caffeine. Calm down with the coffee, get away from it. Try to replace the treats with fresh fruit. Eating healthy products without dyes, preservatives and other added products will help you maintain a stable energy level, avoiding these energy falls. Also, if you feel a little tired and depressed, get some exercise! It sounds counterintuitive but walking or running for 30 minutes can really get your body going and air your mind.
As I said, healthy living is a very important factor in developing a positive state of mind, but it is also one of the hardest to follow, it takes a lot of discipline.
2. Positive perspective
See things on the right side. Something vital to cultivate a positive mind is your ability to see life on the bright side. In general, people tend to exaggerate negative situations and relativize positive points. This happens when we put ourselves in a “frontal” position when we have to put ourselves in the shoes of an objective observer, measuring the positive and the negative.
What we are trying to do here is to balance the balance. You will be surprised to see how many times an insurmountable thing is revealed in the end achievable. By changing the perspective on things, we analyze situations or events in our lives in order to eliminate negative prejudices.
The next time you have a problem, big or small, take a step back. List the negative and positive points. Some people never change because they are afraid to change their life, although here is a tip for such people.
Try to list 3 things you could do to turn negative points into positives
For example, imagine having requested a promotion at work, but it was refused. Obviously, the bad thing is that you did not get your promotion. But what are the positives? Go see your employer and ask him why this promotion was rejected. You have now used this experience to turn it into information.
This information is very expensive – you have obtained an objective answer about the future of your career. Now, what can you do to change the negative to positive? Well, if you discover that the promotion has been rejected for a lack of aptitude in a certain field, you can see this event positively by acting in the field concerned and obtain new qualifications. We have just turned a negative experience, applying a new perspective, in positive action!
Seeing things on the right side, allows you to experience each event/situation. Moreover, you can use it enthusiastically to move forward, instead of constantly thinking about it, complaining and regretting. One of the strengths of putting things in a new perspective is that it is a universal method. It is as important and effective to apply it, in the small daily events of your life as in the greatest moments.
3. Gratitude for you and towards others
Being grateful for what you are, for your life and for others, is also a key to staying positive. This can really help you stay focused on the positive aspects of your social interactions and in your life.
To have gratitude means that you know how to appreciate what you have. The past is past, and there is nothing to change it. Reminiscing about the negative experiences and mistakes of the past is useless – other than depressing you. Focusing on what you have today can be a very good exercise. Look where you are in life. Instead of focusing on the missed opportunities of the past, look at what YOU HAVE. All your successes, the people who support you, the sources of happiness in your life right now. That includes just about everything: your job, your friends, your family, your goals… absolutely everything.
Another important point is to show that you appreciate others. If there is someone in your life who has had a positive influence in your life one day, be it a mentor, or someone who has supported you in a difficult time, or one of your friends: tell them! You could invite them to dinner, to see a movie, to give them a small gift. You could simply write a card or letter and let them know that you appreciate what they did for you. All of these options make very strong gestures and have the benefit of making you and your friends feel happy. It is very effective to develop a positive attitude.
4. The social environment
Positive creates positive. One of the most important points in your social environment. It is common to say “you are what you eat”, and it is true. If you eat healthily, you will be healthy, you eat fat, you will probably end up overweight.
Something else is very important, people with whom you spend your time play a very big effect on your mood and attitude. That’s right, negative people tend to hang out with other negative people. Very often, a source of conflict between you and some people is that there is something that annoys you at home. This person can show a character trait that you do not like, being shameless or disrespectful, or it tends to lie or other negative traits.
If someone gives you that kind of feeling, then you should consider spending less time with him. A trap in which many people fall is that they want to help the other to grow, to change, but it is impossible. A change is made first by one’s own will.
The important thing to remember is: spend time with positive people, you will become more positive. It will influence your character and your attitude.
5. Have a tattoo that reminds you peace
Almost every person has a small or big tattoo but there is a most important thing to tell you that every tattoo has a big meaning. There are so many unique tattoos with deep meaning and you can choose one that reminds you every time: I am a positive thinker, I love peace, I don’t hurt people, I always help others, etc.
Remember you are a good person, not a gangster or some kind of bad person so choose a tattoo with the meaning of love and peace.
6. Listening to emotions
Moods tend to be uncontrollable and are vulnerable to vicious circles. One of the reasons some people take a negative attitude is because they are already in a negative state of mind. It is too late, they are in a spiral. And most do not realize is in this state that becomes self-destructive!
The fact that you are still reading this article shows that you are already aware that something is wrong. It is a major and decisive step. The next step is to apply these concepts and continue to listen to your emotions. If you feel that you are falling back into this negative spiral, you must step back and clear your mind. Do something that you like or change your activity to distract yourself. Once you are out of this negative mood, you can evaluate your situation. Look at the good things of course and make the necessary changes.

We have to make money somehow, right? For that reason, a lot of us do jobs we don’t like. We spent the better part of our days going to places we’d rather not be to do things we’d rather not do. All, so that in the time left over we can buy and take part in the things that do matter to us.
The question is, is this worth it? That’s something you’ve no doubt asked yourself if you’re in this position. Is it worth sacrificing the best hours of your day in order to get that bread on the table (or that expensive phone in your hand)?
Most of the articles out there that cover this question are pretty much somebody dressing up in pretty words a big screamed ‘no’. The problem with that, however, is that a lot of these people are engaged in counterfactual thinking. That’s where you imagine what would have happened if you had done something differently and then romanticize it to kingdom come.
My life would have been so much better if I would have kissed her, not said what I said, or not taken this job. The problem with it is that people forget to include what could have gone wrong when they chase such thoughts. She might have been completely unsuitable, you might have regretted not speaking your mind, or you might have ended up not getting another offer and living under a bridge.
Here I’m going to try to avoid. Sound good? Then let’s get to it.
The instant gratification mindset
The first thing that we have to discuss is that sometimes we don’t do a job for the money, but for what comes afterward. Yeah, the smartphone is nice and the car is cool, but they’re bonuses as we climb the ladder to something better.
Obviously, this is true if you’re trying to make a career. But even if that’s not what you’re doing, even if there is no real future for you at the job you’re at, there can still be good reasons to hang in there. You’re developing skills you’ll be able to take with you. If you hold the job for a few years, you’ll be able to jump in at a higher level when you do make the switch, or you’re building up a nice little nest egg which in the future will allow you to follow that dream.
The mindset that what we do has to be meaningful right now means that we’re never willing to hang in there for our knowledge, skills, and prestige to grow enough so that we can get somewhere more meaningful. It takes time to master things. Just as importantly, often it takes sticking with something for a while to demonstrate your mastery. And if you’re not willing to put that in there, you can end up regretting the life you’ve lived.
The comfort zone thing
Of course, the reason we hold onto jobs we don’t really like isn’t just because we’re trying to climb the ladder. Sometimes it’s because we’re frightened of the uncertainty that would come along with making a change. You’re plunging yourself into the unknown. Things might go badly. Who knows what’s out there?
Now, to be clear, we have comfort zones for a good reason. They’re there to make sure we think twice before we do something risky or stupid. At the same time, they can become straight-jackets that hold us back from following our dreams.
For that reason, you have to do two things when you’re thinking about whether it’s time to quit your job.
Consider if you actually have any real future in the job you’re at. Can you climb a little higher? Is there a situation down the line where you can get some responsibility or position that will suit you better?
If you do quit, how likely are you actually to find something better? What will it pay? And what can you do in a worst-case scenario?
While considering both of these, remember that we’re incredibly bad at imagining the future. In his book, Stumbling on Happiness the Psychologist Daniel Gilbert explains how we strip away the mundane from our fantasies and forget that we can be used to everything – even what at this point seems a dream job or a nightmare place to be. He suggests that the best way to find out how happy we will actually be is to look at other people who are already there and find out how they feel. Chances are, we’ll feel pretty much the same.
Even if you don’t follow that advice, do make sure you factor in that life still goes on. That means that it doesn’t matter if you work for the queen of England, a trusted translation service, or the local burger joint, your back will still hurt, you will still get the flu, your family will still be there and the morning sun will still feel good on your face.
Is versus really the right word?
Another thing to consider is whether it has to be one or the other. Is there only mood versus your job or can we also think about mood via your job or your job via your mood? In the book The Happiness Advantage, psychologist Shawn Achor explores how much better we are at living and working when we’re actually happy. It turns out, the advantage is huge, with it boosting our creativity, our memory and a whole range of other things.
Mainly, that’s down to understanding what happiness is for. Happiness is a signal that everything is going well, that we’re in a good place and can relax, and that we can take a few risks in our heads and our lives.
He suggests that the best way to succeed at your job is to make sure that you’re happy with it. Now, obviously, you can quit your job and look for something better in order to improve your happiness, but that’s hardly the only way. You can also change how you look and what you do there, to boost your happiness and reap the benefits thereof.
And that, in turn, will make the job better and give you the potential to go to more exciting and interesting places.
So, which should it be?
Should you quit your job or hang in there? Should you try to change things or just do your best to get through every day? To my mind, there are two big considerations that will answer that for you:
What does the future hold if you stick it out, is that what you want and can you hang in there until it happens? If the answer here is ‘not much’, ‘not really’ and ‘no’ then that makes it pretty obvious. You should probably think about doing something else. Of course, do remember the point I made above about the skills you learn and the knowledge you pick up. That can be very valuable down the line.
What can you do to make your job better? Sometimes making some changes in your job can already make things far more enjoyable. Find ways to deal with the stressors. Talk to your boss. Improve your situation. Maybe then you can have your cake and eat it too.

“All we are is the result of what we thought. The spirit is everything. What we think we become.” – Muhammad Ali
Generally, we greatly underestimate the power of positive thoughts and how it can transform our lives.
Yet they have a physical power that directly or indirectly influences and transform our lives. Here and there, we can speak of presence, magnetism, aura, which are only the invisible envelope created by thoughts.
This power of thought is all the greater when it is steeped in faith and emotion. These increase the vibration, as one would increase the sound of a radio to better hear it.
Positive thoughts filled with faith will act favorably, just as negative ones will create the bed of misery.
We are thinking machines
Each person emits an average of 60,000 thoughts a day! Surprisingly, 95% of these are the same thoughts repeated each day. On average, 80% of these repetitive thoughts are negative.
Unfortunately, our brains are configured to pay more attention to negative than positive experiences. This peculiarity allowed the human being to survive. In the past, it was essential to remember negative experiences such as the bite of a snake, the toxicity of a plant…
Our world is much less dangerous today but our thoughts are still mainly negative.
Using MRI imaging, researchers have shown that negative thoughts stimulate areas of the brain that promote depression and anxiety. They have also proven that positive thoughts trigger a cascade of positive hormones throughout the body that results in a sense of calm and peace.
What wisdom of the ancients had taught us, modern science confirms today. The brain is “reconfigurable” by various methods including positive thinking.
Anxiety, medicines and positive thoughts
Stress and anxiety is our big problem nowadays and doctors are searching for new ways to get rid of it. A very popular medicine in the United States that is Xanax is being used for this purpose but it is not a permanent solution. Here is a question how long does Xanax stay in your system to make you relax? Just a few hours and that is why we must change our thoughts to cure us with positive thoughts. Here are some powerful and positive thoughts to be happier and transform your life. Please select only those that speak to you.
So let’s get started!

Even when it is chaos around me, I remain calm and relaxed. Stress has no hold on me, I am at peace with myself for that. I trust my inner calm and my intuition. The whole universe conspires to my happiness. I let go easily because I know that in life, the best always happens. I speak slowly, with remarkable calm and confidence.
Positive thoughts for mindfulness
I am anchored in the present moment. Everything is going well at the moment. I am grateful for this moment and I feel joy here and now. I keep coming back to the moment. I observe my actions and thoughts without judging them. I am totally present in my relationships with others. The apotheosis of my life is now. I accept and embrace all situations, even the unpleasant ones. I observe my emotions without being attached to them. I meditate easily without any resistance. I let the past go and live right now in the present. I am open to positive changes in my life. I allow myself to think and dream unlimitedly. I create what I want without effort.
Positive thoughts of gratitude
I appreciate and I am grateful for everything I have. I am happy to have so wonderful family and friends. I send love and gratitude to every organ of my body. Every day I thank the universe for putting me on the path of my dreams. I accept all the gifts of life with gratitude. I am happy to be alive. Every morning I say “thank you” to the universe for giving me a new day of life. I take the time to be grateful for something as simple as a blue sky or the sound of a laugh. Every day I enjoy my life a little more than yesterday. The more I am grateful, the more I am connected to the universe.
Positive Thoughts to Manage Anger
I forgive myself for all the mistakes I’ve made. I let my anger escape in order to regain serenity. I accept responsibility if my anger has affected a person. I replace my anger with empathy and understanding. I offer a sincere apology to those affected by my anger. I forgive those who have harmed me in the past and I detach myself from them in peace. A river of compassion is washing my anger and replacing it with love. Forgiveness has a healing power that I always have at my disposal.
Positive thoughts of happiness
Every day I am happier than before. All my days begin with the joy of life and end with gratitude. My positive thoughts are making more and more people happy. I create a world of joy. I enjoy every moment of my life. To be happy is my only principle. The simple fact of living makes me happy. I know that happiness is a path, not a destination. I always see the good side of things. I see the beauty around me and I radiate love and joy. I change the world around me by changing myself. Happiness is a choice. I base my happiness on my own achievements and what I bring to others.
Positive thoughts for the future
I persevere because I believe in my future. It’s still too early to give up on my goals. I know that the greatest difficulties hide the greatest successes. I choose my goals wisely and in the interest of all. The more I advance in life, the more I attract success, health, and abundance. I am the master of my destiny. I deserve a wonderful life. Every day, I become a better person. I create what I want without effort. I transform what I want in a positive manner. I am the architect of my life. I build its foundations and choose its content. My future is made of what I imagine in the present. My efforts are supported by the universe; my dreams are already being realized.

Positive Words Research – 100 Positive Thoughts To Transform Your Life And Reconfigure Your Brain
It’s important to stay positive in life, and there is no better way than by nurturing your interests and hobbies. If you are looking to find new inspirations in life, you can keep things fresh. You can do that by trying and discovering new things no matter what stage of your life you’re in.
Fortunately, hobbies don’t have “age limits” and you can take up a new hobby at any point in your life. Pushing your comfort zone is the key to keep your life exciting, so it’s always a good time to look for a new interest to try out. Here are a few ways to bring new inspirations into your life.
1. Travel and Music
Music and traveling are two of the most inspirational activities out there. When you listen to music you can get lost in the rhythm and meaning, purge your emotions in a healthy way, and momentarily forget about your worries. When you travel you have new experiences, discover new things about yourself, and you nourish your curiosity. Put them together and you will find yourself in a truly spiritual experience.
A great way to do this is to find a concert you want to go to and drive there. If you really want a transformational experience, you can rent an RV or pack a tent and head to a music festival. You may not make it to Coachella, but there are plenty of music festivals that involve some sort of camping and that last for three days or more.
This way, you can travel more, give in to spoiling yourself, and maybe even make a few new friends. Plus, you will keep up with your interests and when you get back, you will be renewed with positive energy.
2. Create Your Space
Between all the hectic tendencies of life, keeping your home nice can fall through the cracks. Even if you keep your house clean the majority of the time, there can be a lot of work to do. Your home should be a place where you feel safe, happy, and comfortable. You should be able to feel like yourself and relax after a long day.
If this doesn’t exactly describe your home, then you might want to look into giving your space a bit of freshening up. You can start by decluttering. Over the years, you may not realize how much unnecessary stuff you bring home.
Whether it was useful at one point or you just made an impulse buy, it’s all too easy to let unuseful objects accumulate in our homes. Removing clutter from your house can help remove some mental burden from your every day stress, not to mention that it can help you stay organized. Staying organized, in turn, helps you feel more in control and productive.
Once you have decluttered, you can make the space your own. Add a few personal touches to the room. In your bedroom, you can get a new bed spread, a nice pillow, and a throw blanket to make your room more comfortable. In the bathroom, you can replace your shower curtain with something soothing, add candles, and get a new bath mat.
3. Take On a Project
To help make your space your own, you can flex your DIY skills. You can try something simple, like painting and making over a lamp, or you can take on a challenge, like reupholstering your chairs. DIYing is great because you can often save money and end up with a personalized object that you can make exactly how you want.
Additionally, you can work your green thumb skills and bring plants into your home. Just as going out in nature helps relax you, studies have found that keeping indoor plants around can help you feel relaxed and calm, improve your concentration, and boost your mood.
If any of these sound appealing to you — and why wouldn’t they — bring home a few plants and start your indoor garden. It can be hard to keep plants, so start with just one or two, and as your gardening confidence grows, so can your collection. Keep in mind the climate in your area, available light, and how much effort you are willing and able to invest in keeping them.
Feed whatever passion you have that inspires you. Incorporate whatever brings you joy and fulfillment into your life as much as you can. You might forget to do this every once in a while, and that’s okay. It’s just important to always come back to the things that make you happy and working to discover new inspirations.

Some people are just so lucky. They seem to know what they want in life since they were kids. They work their ways to do things that make them happy. Also, receive support from their families and friends.
These people become extraordinary in their fields. They love their works and people love them, give them so much attention.
It sucks right? Because life seems so unfair.
While they know exactly who they want to become, you cannot even imagine how you will be in 5 years. Yes, you still remember the childish dream when you were a kid, but come on, who can make a living out of it?
Plus, even if you want to pursue it, it’s too late now. You are already settled down. You don’t like your job but at least it pays you. You have a family to support, you cannot be reckless and risk it all.
Yes, one day you will be working on your dream. It’s just not today. You are way too busy and occupied right now.
When is that “one day”? You don’t know yet. But “one day” you will do it.
What do those successful people know that you don’t?
Not all successful people were born blessed and lucky like you imagined. Many of them struggled in the past, many of them had their own sad stories. Some of them thought of giving up more than one time.
But they have something in common.
They don’t give up on their dream and do everything they can to pursue it.
Do you have that?
Yes, you have a dream. You are passionate about it. Yes, you decided to pursue it. But you decided to work on it “one day”. They are working on their dreams now.
Instead of making excuses to delay it, they decided to work right away.
Do you want to know if you still have the mindset of “almost successful” people? Here are 5 signs that you are giving up on your dream. Tell me, how many of them are you guilty of?
1. Your “should do” list becomes more important than your “want to do”
You know that working and achieving your dream takes time. A very long time indeed. You don’t know if it will be 5 years, 10 years or even 20 years.
Since it is so far away in the future, it can wait a little longer. Because you are busy right now.
You have a long list of things you should do. And you have to do them right away because they are urgent. So “now” is just not a good time.
The more you delay it, the less important your dream become. Your daily chores and errands can even come before your dream.
2. The “I am fine” syndrome
How are you feeling exactly? Frustrated, depressed because of your reality or you are feeling okay and “not too bad”?
Let me tell you about the frog boiling experiment.
If you put a frog into the hot boiled water, it will jump immediately. But if you put it into cold water and cook the water slowly, the frog will stay put until it dies.
The more you get comfortable with the situation you are in, the less chance you have to step out of your comfort zone to get what you really want. Before you know it, your dream is dead without any jumping!
3. You compare yourself with less fortunate people
You often compare yourself with other people. You get jealous and anxious when you see how perfectly talented and happy people are. You become frustrated and think of yourself as a victim.
To get over this feeling, you then decide to compare yourself with less fortunate people. But it’s not because you appreciate your life the way it is. It’s because it makes you feel better about yourself and the situation you are in.
It’s easy to compare yourself with your peers, realizing they are doing worse than you and stop trying to achieve your goals because what you have today is enough.
4. You are not willing to give up other things in your life
Following your dreams is a hard work. It requires commitment and sacrifices. And you are just not ready for it yet.
Do you love watching movies? You can watch series after series for hours. However, you are not ready to stop yet.
Do you love going out to relax at night after work? You are not ready to go home and start studying yet.
Maybe you love traveling. You are not ready to bring your work with you when you travel, and you are not ready to give up traveling yet.
There are many things you love to do, and suddenly they become so important that you feel regretful giving them up. So instead, you put a hold on your dreams, because they are so far away after all.
5. You doubt your dreams
The more you spend the time to think about your dreams, the more unrealistic it becomes. The more you plan it, the more uncertain it becomes. As a consequence, the more you talk about it, the sillier it becomes.
The truth is, it might not have any problem with your dreams and your plan. But in fact, you are doubting yourself.
What you are doing is not planning, it is making excuses and convincing yourself to give up.
Don’t spend your life thinking “what if”
You are ambitious and talented. You might not believe it but you have what it takes to succeed.
Only if you stay with it.
Yes, it is hard, it is painful when you follow your dreams. You will have to sacrifice many hobbies, many chances to have a good time. You will feel vulnerable, scared and excited at the same time.
Only if you stay with it.
Life is short. Don’t spend your life thinking “what if” and regret later.
Your dream is your baby. Your dream is still inside you, screaming and trying to get out and see the light. Give it a chance. Give yourself a chance and go for it.
So stop making excuses, and let’s do it. Together. Right now.

Traveling is more than just a way to experience different cultures, try new foods and see new sights. Travel can help you find yourself. It is an opportunity to find yourself and what you are capable of. Traveling, whether with a partner or solo, can be a time for reflection and introspection. It enables you to dive deep into the inner reaches of your mind and discover the true you.
You don’t necessarily have to go on a soul-seeking journey or feel lost for this to happen. Pursuing your dreams to explore new places will enable you to better understand your life’s priorities. It helps you see what you value most, where your passions lie, and find yourself.
Traveling offers you the opportunity to try and see so many new things that your horizons will naturally be broadened. Allows you to see life from a new perspective that may have never been available before.
1. Open Your Eyes
Exploring new sights and sounds can be stimulating not only for the eyes but also for the mind and soul. Seeing the Great Wall of China for the first time or swimming with the turtles off the Galapagos islands can stir up feelings of accomplishment and achievement. It can be empowering to know that you are capable of making dreams come true that you may have had since a young child. If there is something or somewhere that you have always wanted to see, your true self may be waiting for you there.
2. Harvesting Experiences
Our experiences may not define us but they are deeply rooted in our memories and help us to remember more adventurous times of our lives. Sharing these experiences with others gives you a way to connect on a different level than you may have had before.
If you are viewed as adventurous by those in your hometown, you may see yourself as the courageous person that you just described in your story about your recent experience scuba diving or mountain climbing. When others see you in a different light than you see yourself we sometimes mirror that perception. Take the chance to share your experiences with others. It might help you reflect and appreciate the accomplishments that you have made while traveling.
3. Traveling on a Budget
You do not need to spend an exorbitant amount of money in order to find the true you or spend some time reflecting on yourself and your priorities in life. You can stay close by choosing a nearby destination to escape to. Traveling to a new part of the state in which you live that you haven’t visited before will still allow you the time away.
You could go on a day’s drive and give yourself some time away from screens and the distractions of everyday life to turn inward. Shutting out the stresses and demands of daily life offers time for you to concentrate on understanding yourself better. The simple act of wandering can help you to clear your mind and focus on matters of the heart and soul.
4. Wandering for a Cause might help find yourself
While you are exploring the world, you may find your true calling in life through the act of service, volunteering or working abroad. The experiences that you have had at home that led you to your professional career might have happened differently if you spent more time abroad or joined the Peace Corps.
Participating in realms that would otherwise be unavailable to you in your home country can allow you to test out possible other career pathways. Many countries outside the United States allow for volunteers to serve as educators, medical aides, conservationists, and other paths without the need for the previous certification. You may find that your truest self feels the most empowered when cleaning the floors of a monastery or educating the young children of Africa. By wandering with a cause, you may find a new professional pathway for yourself to pursue moving forward after returning from your travels.
Traveling can help in combating depression and eradicating stagnant energy. A change of scenery, no matter how brief, can offer your brain a chance to recharge and gain a bigger perspective on specific situations, or life as a whole. Traveling has the ability to teach you patience, give you confidence, and test your own comfort boundaries.
By learning more about yourself it will empower you to return from your travels to pursue what your true self holds to be of utmost importance in life, and be confident in doing so.

According to Anxiety and Depression Association of America, depression and anxiety disorders are included in the list of most common mental illness affecting about 40 million adults aging 18 years old and above in the US alone.
This condition is highly treatable but only 36.9% of sufferers receive treatment. Not just in the US but also in many countries all over the world, millions are suffering from depression. There might be countless medications and techniques to cope up but writing is still considered one ideal way to ease depression without resorting to costly pills and techniques.
Even professional writers have their own stories to tell. Carrie Fisher, F. Scott Fitzgerald, JK Rowling, Winston Churchill and Sylvia Path they actually have one trait they all share and that is a severe mental issue. They are sufferers of depression but despite their black clouds and demons, they become successful authors. Writing has become one of the ways they used to ease depression.
If these professional writers can battle depression, you can too. Writing helps ease depression in many ways.
The following are 5 helpful ways to ease depression with writing.
1. Writing Makes Positive Feelings Come to Life
Writing can creatively help you externalize your own feelings and as a result, making it more real. Whether writing fictional stories or writing a journal, parts of your emotions or feelings somehow come out in the forms of contents.
If you got the chance to look back on all those words you have written, you may better understand your feelings. Writing, therefore, sparks insights for better understanding. Another good thing about writing is that along the process, the emotions or feelings that you have been bottling up can be released and this would make you feel lighter and better.
2. Writing Gives You an Escape
When you are writing, you are able to obtain a temporary escape from problems and pressures that depress you. You also enjoy the freedom to write whatever you want to say or express. Through writing, you are also able to create a bridge between your emotions and thoughts.
If you feel like you start to lose control in your life, the fact that your writing is all yours and no one can tell how you should do it can help you feel good. Escape from problems is helpful for depression sufferers and this provides an oasis in times of stress or times that a person is toggling between anxiety and sadness.
3. Writing Reduce Pain and Improves Health
According to some research, writing does not only help ease depression but it also helps reduce pain and improve health. As you write, your blood pressure lowers and this actually has added benefit to keep you calm.
Your depression and physical manifestations are somehow related. During your free time, you can write or read articles on how depression can impact the body. If writing is really your passion, you can get inspiration from professional writers who have become famous despite depression.
4. Writing Provides Sense of Order
It can be therapeutic and this provides a sense of order on ways you perform or do things every day. Also, writing ease depression because this allows you to find patterns in your reactions, thoughts, and feelings. This is also an excellent way of uncovering distortions in your thought patterns. Writing and keeping a journal can also assist you in identifying the flow of your depression.
5. Writing Also Acts as a Tool for Therapy
If you write regularly, you can find out somehow that you are no longer the only one who wants to read your words. The moment you wanted to share your words or writing to others, you’re definitely on your way to healing. Many individuals who attend therapy for anxiety and depression realize that by sharing stories with their therapist, they are able to share their emotions while having silent witnesses as parts of their special journey.
If you find it hard to deal with depression, realize that there are lots of possible things that you can do to cope. Writing is one of them. It can bring your feelings and emotions to the surface. If your worries and thoughts start swirling around, put your pen on the paper. This can ease your depression, cut down the chaos and help make things more manageable for you.
Writing also empowers you since this is something that can help you feel better and help you recognize the good things around. Therefore, you can take advantage and help yourself heal and feel better. Depression is highly treatable and writing can be one of the best parts of your treatment. Take time to think of good things to write and allow yourself to free your emotions while writing. This can help you feel a lot better.

Positive thinkers always look on the bright side and see the cup as half full. These people are healthier and they are less stressed than pessimists. And studies showed that optimism and positive thinking have several benefits.
You may think that positive thinking is not a natural thing to you. However, there are several reasons you must start cultivating positive thoughts and stop negative self-talk.
Cope better with a stressful situation
Positive thinkers can cope better than pessimists when they are faced with a stressful situation. When optimists are disappointed, they tend to focus on the things that they can do to resolve it. They don’t dwell on those things that they are not in control of. Instead, they create a plan of action and ask for assistance.
Negative thinkers, on the other hand, would immediately conclude that the situation is already out of their control and that they can’t do anything about it.
Positive mind attracts positive results
If you start to think positively, the law of attraction can work in your favor. The law states that “like attracts like.” If you have the habit of seeing your life positively, you can attract great things.
Improves immunity
The mind can have a positive effect on the body. It’s one of the reasons people living in the healthiest places to live in the US are mostly positively thinkers. They don’t just exercise every day but they also think more about the bright side than the negative side of a situation.
Activating the brain areas associated with negative emotions can lead to a weaker immune system. When you become optimistic about some areas of your life, you tend to have a stronger immune reaction than people who had a negative view of their situation.
In other words, positive thinking is ideal for your health. It does not only help you cope with stress but it also affects your overall well-being. The Mayo Clinic reports that there are several health benefits related to optimism. These would include a reduced risk of death because of cardiovascular problems and increased lifespan.
Although it’s not clear yet how positive thinking can benefit health, some people suggest that being optimistic can lead to a healthier lifestyle. As they cope better with stress, they can avoid unhealthy behaviors related to stress. As a result, they can improve their overall well-being.
Copes better with problems
Apart from stress, having a positive mind can help you better cope with problems. In other words, you become more resilient. When you face a crisis, you can easily carry on and overcome adversity. As mentioned earlier, positive thinkers look at the problem and find solutions to fix the problem, rather than giving up quickly.
When resilient people found themselves in a terrorist attack or a natural disaster, for example, their positive thoughts and emotions would encourage them to thrive. These thoughts would act as a buffer against depression.
Develop harmonious relationships
By having positive thoughts, you’ll start to notice the good qualities of people and ignore their flaws. As a result, you’ll start to have a meaningful friendship with them. Having a positive attitude creates a positive atmosphere around you.
Turn problems into opportunities
When you have negative thinking, it’ll blind your mind. However, if you start to turn negative ones into positive, you’ll begin to see that the bottle is half full and not half empty. You’ll start to see solutions and consider that a problem is an opportunity for you to grow. You’ll also start to realize that all problems have an answer. And you’ll finally see it.
Be more grateful
Some people don’t care how blessed they are. As a result, they take things for granted. They forget to be satisfied with the things they have. If you always complain and whine about your destiny, you’ll never appreciate all the things that you already have, until you lose them.
However, when you start to be more thankful and appreciative, you’ll finally realize that you’re luckier than the rich kid you’ve always envied when you were young. So, always be pleased with what you have and count your blessings.
Be more beautiful
Positive thinking brings the best in you. It’ll make you look more beautiful. How? Because you always think positive, you always smile and be friendly to people, making you more attractive. As your inner beauty shines, it’ll be visible on the outside.
Be more successful
Compared to negative thinkers, positive thinkers are more likely to be successful. That’s because they tend to find a solution to every problem, instead of giving up. For them, a life without a problem is boring. For that reason, they work hard and find success to be a lot easier.
Conclusion
Although being optimistic has a bright side, in some instances, it might not serve you well. If you’re overly confident, you might underestimate your abilities. As a result, you take on more tasks that you can handle, causing more stress and anxiety.
You don’t need to ignore the reality. But focus on certain things, like a positive approach to a challenge or make the most of a bad situation. Bad things can happen to anyone. As a positive thinker, you look at the case and find ways to improve it.
