How Being Grateful Can Change You Into A Positive Person

We all want to become more positive people. Being more positive equals feeling happier, and who doesn’t want to be a happier person? Happiness is one thing you cannot buy with money but can be acquired easily by shifting your mindset and focus, thereby literally changing your life.

Naturally, people tend to focus on what they are lacking and what they wished they would have in their life. By shifting your focus on what you actually do have, you will come to realize that you are one of the luckiest people in the world.

Sounds amazing, right? Well, it is really not that difficult to change your outlook and take notice of all the good that you have in your life. At first, it may take some extra effort, but once you make it a routine it will become second nature to you.

So how do you accomplish this?

Create a Gratitude Journal

Start by creating a gratitude journal, recording 5 things that you are grateful for each day. Don’t duplicate things, think of 5 new things that you feel thankful for each and every day. It may sound like a lot, but once you start noticing how much good you have your list will grow quickly. These things don’t need to be major, they can be small things that you are grateful that you have in our life. For example: 1) I have a house to live in (not everyone can say that) 2) I had a good night sleep 3) I have clean scrubs to wear to work4) my boiler is working so I was able to take a hot shower 5) I have an appetite to eat my breakfast.

That was easy, 5 things that we often take for granted. Not everyone can say that they have these things; and if we did not have one of them we would feel like we are lacking, so appreciate that you have them!

Once you train your mind to look for the good in every situation, you will automatically be more tuned in to see the positive. When you pull in to a full parking lot and find a parking spot easily, you will feel grateful. When you get to your destination safely, you will feel grateful. You will learn not to take anything for granted, and feel extremely fortunate and lucky for all the good that you have. And you will feel happy. Happy that you have such a rich life full of goodness and blessings.

And when you feel happy, you will become a more positive and well liked person, a person that people will enjoy spending time with and being in your company. We all know that no one wants to be around a negative person.

So, start your gratitude journal today, and start recognizing all the good that you have in your life, and you will start living a more positive, happier life!

Discover How Do Nightmares Make Writers More Creative

The image of a dark shadow following me like Dementors was chasing Harry Potter is still live in my mind. It is a nightmare I started having when I was about 13 and it keeps repeating every now and then. I always manage to run away from that shadow, but it never stops following me. It is a recurrent dream that is chasing me for over 15 years now.

But how do these bad dreams influence creativity? Every human on Earth is having nightmares, but do they have a special effect on writers or on their creativity level? Do these nightmares have a hidden meaning?

Let’s find out more about nightmares and if they make writers more creative.

What Are Nightmares?

Nightmares are those bad dreams which make you wake up during the night. And while the sensation of fear has invalidated your body, you wake up all sweat and disturbed by what you just saw in your dreams.

We experience more nightmares when we are children. Researchers from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine say that from 10 to 50 percent of children aged 5 to 12 years, experience disturbing nightmares that make them wake up their parents.

This means that the severity of their nightmares is high enough to disturb their parents.

As the time passes by, the frequency of the nightmares decreases. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine says that only two to eight percent of adults experience nightmares.

But, What Triggers Nightmares?

Scientists say that the nightmares experienced during adulthood have the same triggers as the ones from childhood. Such triggers could be:

  • Listening to scary stories
  • The death of a beloved one
  • Watching tv shows or horror movies
  • Having a stressful day at school or work

Whether these triggers are common for childhood and adulthood, there are also some that are specific to adulthood.

As we grow up, we gain more and more control over our behavior and cognitive functions. We have the power to control and keep them under control.

But when something bad happens, our ability to manage our behavior and thinking weakens.

Triggers such:

  • Bad eating habits – like having a midnight snack
  • Conflicts unresolved that we never stop thinking about
  • Unknown allergies
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Insomnia

can cause you to experience that night troubles.

What do we know about nightmares?

  1. We know that the nightmares are occurring in the REM sleep (rapid eye movement sleep). This phase is unique in our sleep and makes it easy for nightmares to appear because of its characteristics. Our muscles relax, and our eyes move faster, creating the conditions to dream vividly.
  2. Although every one of us has his own opinions, issues and perspective, some themes are common to most adults. Running from someone who is chasing you and not having the power to escape or falling from a very high building are common themes among adults.
  3. If you are on medication, you may experience nightmares, depending on the addictive substances you are taking.

But, how can a writer be inspired by his or her nightmares?

We all know that inspiration does not come if you clap your hands. There are a lot of exercises to boost your creativity. Some of them may work, some not. I tried some and all I can say is that they are helpful.

A lot of writers ask for advice on how to boost their creativity, and all I can say is to dive deeper into your dreams.

I tried to remember all the details of my dreams, some of them being full of feelings and sensations that would make a great story.

My solution to the problem of keeping track of one’s dreams was to write them down on a dream journal. I noticed that after I wake up, I clearly see all the dream details.

And this is the best moment to write down what you have just dreamed.

As the time passes by, more and more details will get lost.

You will boost your creativity and you will have a great start for an awesome story. Your brain is working also during the night, so nightmares are one of the things that he is part of. And why not use your brain at its fullest?

Wait, is this possible? Do I really become more creative?

The answer is, yes. Have you ever wondered where the Frankenstein story came from? Or how was Edgar Allan Poe so inspired to write such horrific, yet awesome stories?

You might think that as a writer you barely have time to sleep because you often enter a writing frenzy state. Stephen King got the idea for his famous masterpiece Misery while flying to London and experiencing a nightmare.

You can also draw what you have just dreamed and get inspired like Robert L. Stevenson did for his The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde novel.

There are so many writers who leveled up their creativity just by paying enough attention to what they experienced during the night. So yes, it is possible to become more creative if you listen to your brain during the night.

In fact, there are lots of studies which investigated the relationship between nightmares and creativity. One study conducted by Michelle Carr proved that during a word-association task, those who experienced nightmares scored significantly better than those who do not.

This means that it is a positive relationship between nightmares and creativity.

You might find yourself too troubled to form sentences and all you can do is to write down some ideas and memories. As a writer, you can always use the help of some nerdy writers or you can hire a writer online who can proofread your drafts.

As a writer, you can get lost through ideas. It is always helpful when a fresh and new perspective is used to improve your drafts. This is the moment when you can ask for help from a professional.

How Useful Are Nightmares to Writers?

After I over analyzed all the studies about nightmares and creativity, an idea popped up. How useful are nightmares for writers, actually? How can I, as a writer, maximize the potential my nightmares have?

Well, these are some tricky questions. But studies helped me clarify some aspects.

Empathya study from 2013 showed that people who experience nightmares frequently, also display mirror behaviors. They tend to be more aware of the people and surroundings.

And it is well-known that there is a positive relationship between empathy and creativity, although we do not know the exact relationship. Nightmares might determine you to write more vivid, fuller of life stories.

The recall rate is high – this might be due to the characteristics of nightmares. It is hardwired in our brain to remember more bad things than good things.

This is especially visible when taking into consideration nightmares. They can be a great source of inspiration for your next horror or thriller story.

I talked a lot about nightmares. What are they, what triggers do they have or how are nightmares and creativity linked.

But, how can you take advantage of nightmares, as a writer?

Oh well, nightmares inspire you. They make you more creative in ways you wouldn’t have known were possible. The truth is, our brain is working all the time. And just a few of the things it is noticing reach the consciousness level. You must take advantage of them.

Write down as many details you remember. Or, if you have some hidden talents, you can draw or paint. The thing is, while you will be working on remembering as many details as possible, your creativity level will increase.

Your brain will be exercising, and your imagination will be unleashed. So, what are you waiting for? Start that dream journal and begin creating the most vivid and gripping stories you have ever written.

Best 9 Tips On How to Use Journaling for Mental Health

As teenagers, most of us kept diaries. We used to write what we were going through and then hide them somewhere safe. A diary was the only place we could confess our fears and struggles without being judged or punished by anyone.

It really felt good getting all of those thoughts and emotions out of your chest and down on paper. Everything seemed clearer after performing this exercise.

Most of us stopped using diaries when we reached adulthood. As an adult, you are faced with struggles on a daily basis which may result in stress, anxiety and depression. Journaling is as important today as it were during your teenage years.

In fact, it is much more important for you to start doing it now especially if you have children. If you are stressed or depressed, your children will definitely be affected.

Journaling helps you gain control of your emotions. It improves your mental health. Today, we are going to discuss how to journal for mental health. But first, let’s understand effective journaling and its benefits.

1. Effective Journaling Defined

Effective journaling is a practice that helps you achieve your goals or improve the quality of your life. Every person has different perspectives and expectations when it comes to journaling. However, the effects are always positive.

Journaling helps in clearing the mind and making crucial connections between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Mental illness is also reduced drastically. You might be asking yourself how a piece of paper and a pen can impact your mental health. It is surprising that such a simple practice does work. Especially for those people struggling with mental illness.

Journaling uses both the left brain and the right brain. It requires an individual to use the logical left side of the brain. While the lefts side is occupied, the right side which is normally the creative and emotional side is given the freedom to play and wonder. Journaling enhances and expands your creativity which makes a huge difference in your life.

2. Benefits of Journaling

Journaling or writing in an expressive way boosts the mood of individuals, enhances a sense of well-being, reduces the symptoms of depression before a crucial event such as an exam or job interview, reduces avoidance and intrusion symptoms and improves memory.

Journaling is really beneficial to those with a history of trauma or PTSD. Creative writing enhances mental health by guiding a person to face his or her inhibited feelings. It helps him or her analyze difficult or painful events and compose a clear narrative about his or her experience.

For those without traumatic experiences, writing is still beneficial to their mental health. Writing can make you aware of sneaky unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors before they take control of you. It helps in putting things in proper perspective. In fact, writing helps in shifting from a negative mindset to a positive one thus improving your self-esteem.

For journaling to impact your mental health positively, you need to have an appropriate method in place. Simply writing words on a page may feel wonderful at the moment but there is little proof that it will enhance your well-being and decrease your depression symptoms.

3. Journaling Effectively for Mental Health

The following tips will ensure your journaling or expressive writing is comprehensive and constructive thus beneficial to your mental health:

  • Write in a personalized space that has no distractions
  • Write at least three times in a day
  • After writing, give yourself enough time to reflect
  • If you are journaling to overcome trauma, you do not have to write about the traumatic event. Write what you are feeling at the moment.
  • Structure your writing the way you want.
  • Your journal is private. It belongs to you – not your therapist, spouse, family or friends. You can always discuss your experience with your therapist.

The Center of Journal Therapy has an effective journaling guideline that can help you improve your mental health. When you are journaling, keep in mind this simple acronym: WRITE

  • W – What are you writing about? Think of your thoughts and feelings and what is going on in your life right now. Think of your goals and what you are trying to avoid. Write it down on paper.
  • R – Reflect or review. Take a moment and be still. Breath calmly and focus. In this step, mindfulness or meditation is important. When writing, focus on the present moment with sentences such as “Today…”, “In this moment…” Start your sentences with “I” statements such as “I think…”, “I feel…”
  • I – Investigate your thoughts and emotions through writing. Just keep writing. If you feel you have written everything or your mind starts wandering, take a moment and reflect. Meditate. Or read what you have written and keep on writing.
  • T – Time yourself. Write for at least five minutes or whatever time your therapist has advised you. Write your start time and the projected end time at the top of your page. Set an alarm or timer.
  • E – Exit in a strategic way with introspection. Go through what you have written and take a moment to review and reflect. Sum up everything in one or two sentences. Start with statements like, “As I read this, I feel…”, “I am aware of…” If you have an action plan or a series of steps to follow, write them down.

4. The Science Behind Journaling or Expressive Writing

The outcomes of journal writing are evident across the world. Journaling is very effective in helping people identify and accept their thoughts and emotions, manage stress and reduce or eliminate the symptoms of mental illness.

It has been revealed that journaling affects physical well-being. Michael Grothaus, an avid writer and journalist notes that journaling strengthens the immune system, lowers blood pressure, improves the quality of your sleep and keeps you healthier in general.

There are other benefits for people struggling with mental issues.

5. Journaling Can Help You Manage Depression

Journaling is an effective tool in helping a person manage his or her depressive symptoms. Keep in mind that journaling is not a substitute for professional help especially when depression is severe. However, it can be used together with various forms of therapy treatment.

Journal writing has proved to manage depression in the following ways:

  • Journal writing reduces depression symptoms in women who are struggling with the effects of intimate partner violence.
  • Writing a journal is as effective as cognitive behavioral therapy when it comes to reducing depression symptoms in adolescents.
  • In some cases, expressive writing may not decrease the frequency of intrusive thoughts in depressed people but it can moderate depressive symptoms hence reduce the symptoms.
  • Journaling can reduce brooding and rumination among college students. Brooding and rumination are the biggest factors of depressive symptoms.
  • Individuals diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder reported lower depression scores after only 3 days of journal writing, twenty minutes every day.

Journal writing gives them an avenue to release negative thoughts and emotions and create a positive state of mind which ultimately leads to a sense of well-being.

6. Journaling and Anxiety

Journaling is well-suited to help you deal with anxiety. It always has positive outcomes. Barbara Markway, a popular psychologist says that there is no better way to understand your thoughts and emotions than to write them down. To address any problem, you have to know what it is first. Journaling is tool that helps in identifying the problem and getting it out.

Expressive writing positively affects your anxiety through:

  • Clearing and calming the mind.
  • Releasing negative feelings and stress.
  • Releasing negative thoughts.
  • Enabling you to explore your experiences with anxiety.
  • Helping you understand your successes and struggles.
  • Enhancing self-awareness and understanding about your triggers.
  • Tracking the progress of your treatment.

Journaling has helped students suffering from anxiety by improving their engagement and enhancing meaning in the classroom.

7. Journaling and Stress Management

Journaling is great tool for anyone who wants to manage his or her stress to prevent it from pushing him or her to anxiety and depression. Keeping a journal will help you understand your emotions, connect thoughts and experiences and release tension. Additionally, it can help you do away with sources of stress to reach your goals.

Journaling can help you manage stress through:

  • Improving the functions of your mind.
  • Decreasing or eliminating several health conditions.
  • Strengthening the immune system.
  • Proper planning through considering several possible outcomes of a situation.
  • Decreasing rumination while enhancing action.

8. Journaling and Recovery

Journaling can help you heal fast regardless of the event, disorder or habit you are struggling with.

If you are struggling with the effects of trauma, expressive writing will enable you to see the good side of life. It can change your perspective and help you discover the advantages of the trauma you are experiencing which ultimately reduces severe symptoms that come with trauma.

If you are struggling with an eating disorder, journal writing can be a source of your healing and recovery. Keeping a journal will help you stop avoiding issues and instead confront them head on.

If you are grappling with a psychiatric condition, expressive writing can help you understand your thoughts and stop worrying over them. This will ultimately free up your mind to cope with stress and manage your feelings.

One of the most traumatic events is the death of a loved one. Journaling can help you deal with this as well. Expressive writing will give you a chance to think about the loss and reduce severe symptoms that come with grief. This works even for children dealing with the loss of a loved one.

To fully recover, journaling is an important exercise because it allows you to write your thoughts, emotions and emotions. Doing this maintains and solidifies your identity. It gives you a chance to reflect on your experiences and rediscover yourself.

9. When You Have No Idea What to Write About

Some days, you will simply have no idea what to write about. You should not put your journal away if this is the case. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Describe an experience – Sometimes, all you can do to start writing is describing what you worked on today or what you thought about. You will definitely have more to say than you thought.
  • Affirmation – When you have run out of ideas and your self-esteem is low, write affirmations such as, “I like myself” or “I am a great writer.” After this exercise, you will find something to write about and at the same time, boost your confidence and enhance your well-being.
  • Gratitude – Writing with gratitude works like magic. Write about the people and everything in your life that you are grateful for. Gratitude will help you get ideas to write on and enhance your well-being.
  • Self-Analysis – Ask yourself deep questions such as “Who am I?”, “What did I do right today?” and “What will I do differently next time?” Once you answer these questions, ideas will start flowing in your mind.

Conclusion

Journaling has many positive outcomes for everyone. However, it has its negative side such as dragging up memories that you forgot, overwhelming emotions and pushing you into introspectiveness. The good news is that its benefits far outweigh the disadvantages.

Journaling can help you manage stress, anxiety and depression. It is a tool that can improve your mental health. And you do not need to be a terrific writer to write down your thoughts and emotions. If you need help to process all your thoughts and emotions that can arise from journaling, try speaking to a licensed therapist.

Remember, your journal is private. Keep it somewhere safe after use. And write every single day.

How to Ease the Stress of College: Brief Guide for Freshmen

Let’s be clear: stresses and anxiety are unavoidable and are an important part of anyone’s life. One cannot get rid of them entirely. Moreover, the necessity to overcome anxiety can become another stress, as you’re supposed to be good at dealing with it. But anxiety and stresses are not only about psychological health. They also affect your grades. Here are some easy rules you can follow to eliminate the influence of anxiety on your studying and ease the stress of college.

1.  Eat well

This is the most obvious and the most underestimated piece of advice. What you eat affects your grades on a direct basis. Compose at least 80% of your diet with minimally processed healthy food, and indulge yourself with no more than 20% of junk food. Avoid relaxing with alcohol as well, especially if you’re an addictive type of person.

2.  Get enough sleep

You must have seen it out on your own: bad sleep the night before leads to the lack of productivity the next day. Coffee and energy drinks are lifesavers if you take them from time to time, but if you can help it, it is better to opt for a good 8-hour night of sleep.

3.  Socialize

Studies show that socializing helps eliminate the symptoms of depression and anxiety. It can be difficult for you to make new friends if you have social anxiety or are an introverted type of person. To make socializing easier, check out the fraternities on your campus and try some sports. Scan the hobby groups in your college and involve yourself in some of them. Get along with your roommate. Speak to people in classes. And don’t forget about your family.

4.  Don’t procrastinate

It is easier to overcome a bad grade if you know you’ve done everything you could. In this case, the only things you have to blame are the circumstances and your teacher, who does not like you too much. If you were deliberately postponing your homework and haven’t done everything you could to make it better, the only person to blame is you. Self-blame is one of the reasons for having major depressive disorder some studies say.

5.  Ask for help

Find some legitimate research paper writing service and use it when you need it. Stress from getting a bad grade or any assignment you’re unable to cope with on time is one of the most common happenings among college students. Remember that there is always a way out and there are always people who are willing to help. Just ask for it.

6.  Write down your expenditures

Money can be another stressful factor for freshmen. If you’re not willing to take a part-time job yet, opt for controlling your spending. We assure you that after several weeks of writing your expenditures down or using budget planning and tracking mobile apps, you will be shocked by how much money you pay for nonsense.

7.  Help others

Doing good makes you feel good, and some even say that the secret to happiness is helping others. There is always a chance to help those in need — if not with your money then with your time and devotion. Maybe there are some subjects you can assist your classmates with. Speak to students for whom English is not a native language. You will both improve their English and you will find out a lot about foreign cultures.

8.  Take time out for yourself

It might seem that every minute of life in college is written down, but there is always a couple of hours a day you can devote to yourself—just search better. A day in a spa would be perfect, but a simple walk in a park also will do. Read or dream instead of scrolling through your Instagram timeline when you’re already in bed. Christmas holidays with your family and summers vacation in Europe also count.

9.  Think about the future

It is not as easy as the rest of the list, but someone has to do it and it better to be you. We encourage you not to overthink stuff, like “Did I choose the best college?” or “What should I do if I fail my exams?” but analyze what you want and how you can get there. Create a pool of if-then plans in your mind and it will be easier for you to face the future.

Sorry to say that again, but one’s college years are really one of the brightest periods of your life. Enjoy it and don’t let anxiety and stresses take away all the opportunities life gives you now.

5 Ways to Motivate to Study Boring Subject to Complete a Project

Have you ever found yourself stuck in a boring subject? A problematic project plan that seems impossible to execute? This is quite natural as most students end up facing this situation at least once throughout their academic journey. Nevertheless, no matter how boring the project or subject is, you still must give it your best and make sure that it will be finished on time.

It’s quite common that students find themselves forced to do things that they’re not really fond of. These are the right things to do and studying a boring subject is one of them. Here are some tips that will help motivate you to finish a challenging project or study a boring issue.

1. Don’t study alone:

It’s quite difficult to feel motivated when you’re all by yourself. Studying with friends and colleagues can make this difficult time easier. Start a study group with friends and split chores. This way you won’t feel overwhelmed by the number of tasks that must be finished over a short period of time. It’s an excellent idea to prepare the correct plan for a project. Moreover, a friend might know something that you don’t know so you can finish your studies fast.

It’s a good idea to spend time with someone who’s on the same boat. Invite your friends over and engage in some fun couchsurfing and discuss your thoughts and fears. It’s always good to know that you’re not alone and that your worries actually make sense. Moreover, each member of the group can think of the trickiest question and find answers for, which takes the load off your shoulders.

2. Visualize yourself taking action:

Use the power of imagination to help teach yourself how to get motivated. Your brain can be the best teacher to show you how to get motivated while struggling with a difficult project plan. Whenever things start to feel extremely challenging and difficult, close your eyes and start visualizing yourself taking action. Think of the time you’re done, how this will help improve your academic and career chances in the future.

Every subject studied and each project plan finished add to your experience. It will eventually prove useful when students compete for an interesting job in a highly competitive job market.

3. Always remember it’s just temporary and imagine how it will end:

One of the best ways to learn how to motivate yourself is to remember that you won’t study forever. This is temporary, and you must think of how things will be once they’re done. Studying a difficult subject or finishing a challenging project means that you’ll have essential knowledge. You’ll get good grades which will qualify you for a reputable degree from the best college or university. There are lots of ways that can help you get done with tasks on time. Think about hiring assignment services and get help from the experts. This will give you more time to finish the most challenging tasks.

Even when things seem so hard, and you start dreaming of getting some sleep, you should always remind yourself that this will pass. There’s nothing that compares to the sense of achievement after completing a challenging project.

4. Small actions add up:

To better stay motivated, students should understand that everything counts. We sometimes become our worst enemies, and your mind might start playing tricks on you. Don’t let negative thoughts curb your enthusiasm if you feel that you haven’ done enough. It’s a good idea to have a plan and a target goal, but most times we set too high goals that we can’t achieve. As a result, you’ll end feeling frustrated.

Think of achievable milestones and enjoy the sense of accomplishment every time you finish a small task. It will give you more energy for the parts that follow.

5. Get some supportive comrades and spend time with them:

Supportive study mates have a significant impact on you. Surrounding yourself with positive people can help you unwind and deal with stress. These people will listen to you, support you, and give you advice about any challenging project or subject. Receiving support and advice from others will help you finish difficult and challenging projects faster because they’ll tell you that you’re doing fine. You can engage in some fun activities to help you clear your mind and take your mind off complicated topics. This is a good way to recharge before working again.

Try to hang up with people who have finished the same projects before. See how they managed to overcome obstacles and listen to their tips. They can help adjust your project plan and draw attention to problematic areas.

6. Make every thought serve you and move you forward:

The importance of the project or subject you’re studying should be reflected in every action you take. Let all your thoughts be focused on how to become better at what you do. How can you optimize resources including time and skills and complete the job the way it should be done? Use your past experience and knowledge to finish the assignment in the best quality.

Add interesting thoughts to boring topics to help you study things better. Think about watching videos to help explain more difficult topics or tutorials that show how to make an excellent plan for any project.

Challenges and problems make us stronger and more competent. Every difficult subject or project qualifies you to more interesting job offers in the future. With time, these problematic chores will get easier, and you’ll become better at handling similar issues. These tips will help you stay motivated and focused so you can finish all tasks on time. They also help you become a better student who stands out from the rest.

Importance of Time Management for Your College Projects

Have you ever wondered why you never get enough time to complete your college projects? Worry no more because this article has all the answers.

Why is Time-Management Important in College?

Arthur Schopenhauer, a famous German philosopher, once said, “The common man is not concerned about the passage of time, the man of talent is driven by it.” Most people would gladly forget about time, but unfortunately, this is something they simply cannot do without. We can only learn to manage our lives by adjusting ourselves to the relentlessly moving the hands of the clock.

It is true that college is one of the most difficult times in one’s life. Students face too many tasks and have very little or no time at all to accomplish everything.

However, there were others before you who learned how to make time for their important academic assignments without using professional writing help. And if they could do that, so can you.

History has taught us that the majority of people learn to appreciate the value of something after they lose it. Experience is the best teacher — remember that old saying? This article will help you manage your time in college by improving your time management skills.

8 Points that Prove That Time-Management Is Essential

There is no denying the fact that the responsibilities of the millennial college student are numerous. By scheduling your day properly, you will have enough time on your hands to study, complete assignments, and still prepare for classes. If you do this regularly, you will inevitably see an improvement in your academic performance.

2. It Improves Decision-Making skills

Jeanette Winterson, the author of “Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit” once said, “It is not possible to control the outside of yourself until you have mastered your breathing space. It is not possible to change anything until you understand the substance you wish to change.” In order words, you cannot expect to change your environment unless you make changes in your personal life. By mastering your time-management skills on a daily basis, you’ll learn to be an effective decision-maker in other aspects of your life.

3. It Improves Your Chances of Achieving Success

Scheduling your day directly influences your academic performance because it lets you gain a better understanding of diverse topics. Having good time-management skills can also increase your chances of getting a good job in the future

4. It Reduces Stress

Another good thing about time-management is that it offers you a stress-free life on campus. How so? If you have planned your day carefully, your regular activities will not be conducted in a state of haste, stress, and confusion. Thus, all the unnecessary anxieties will be removed from your life.

5. It Improves Self-Discipline

Self-discipline is essential. By managing your time effectively, you set the foundation for building self-discipline.

6. It Offers More Learning Opportunities

It’s only logical that you gain a deeper insight into the subject matter if you spend more time on reading. In order words, what you learn from a three-hour reading session cannot be compressed into thirty minutes. Therefore, investing more time in reading increases retention and understanding.

7. It Makes Learning More Fulfilling and Meaningful

We all aspire to achieve something greater. By allocating enough time to our studies, we can make the learning process more meaningful and fulfilling. This, in turn, gives your life a clearer meaning and purpose.

8. It Boosts Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is a fundamental attribute without which your academic performance will deteriorate drastically. The good news is that good time-management can have a surprisingly positive effect on your confidence level. By spending more time on learning, you can achieve excellent academic results and boost your self-confidence.

Effects of Poor Time Management

Importance Of Spiritual Care And How We Can Improve It

No matter at what moment we are in life, whether we are deepening our studies or leaving the children at school, we can all agree that finding time to take care of ourselves is of vital importance. Finding time for ourselves is the beginning of self-reflection and the reflection is the foundation of how we understand the meaning of our lives. By reflecting on everything we will be trained to be able to see problems from various perspectives.

However, although we all know it, most women devote time on a regular basis to personal care and attention. Instead, we put ourselves in the background and take care of the needs of everyone else first. And although it can be heroic at times, it is also harmful; it is harmful for health to overlook the needs of our body.

As in this fast-paced culture, how can we improve in our personal, physical, mental and spiritual care? We often hear advice like ‘eat real food’, ‘exercise regularly’ and ‘get enough sleep’, but I think the issue goes further. Here you will find four tips, adapted from my own experience , that focus more on the spiritual aspects of treating your whole being, both physical and spiritual, with kindness. To get more info you can visit Bestpsychics.club.

Have mercy on yourself.

Sometimes it may be easier to have compassion for others than for yourself. It is possible that you are giving other people second, third or even infinite opportunities, but to your own actions and thoughts, you give them the very little margin of error. When you make mistakes, do you reproduce them again and again in your head and find new details each time you see that you have made a mistake? It’s a common feeling, but it’s not healthy. Errors are natural as long as you don’t do it intentionally. What’s more important is to make peace with these mistakes while looking for ways not to repeat the same mistakes.

The first step in spiritual care is to realize that we all make mistakes and nothing happens because we are not perfect. If you are a believer, always bear in mind that God is bigger than our mistakes and problems. And the first step to accepting His forgiveness is to be merciful to ourselves and to recognize that we need help with our own care giving us permission to be human.

At the end of each day, remember the good things you have

Sometimes life is so busy that the only time left for one to think about it is at the end of the day, lying on the bed. It can be easy to fall into a habit of negativity, punishing yourself thoroughly for everything you’ve done wrong that day and thinking about what you could have done better.

Instead, try to think of the times you have been blessed throughout the day. They do not have to be extraordinary moments. They can be simple things, like an avenue with all the traffic lights in green way of the work, or that your husband makes the bed in the morning. Here is a simple way to start: share in your social media profile the little things for which you feel grateful every day.

When you are able to find joy even in the smallest moments, you are learning to find kindness and gratitude in all your days. And after all that practice seeing the good of creation, it may be easier for you to learn to apply that lens of kindness and gratitude to yourself. And when you feel better about yourself, you will be more willing to do things that are good for your body, such as exercising and maintaining a good diet.

Be aware that you are unique

Believe in God? He thinks you’re smart. He knows that you are unique and that there is no one else like you. He thought of you from the beginning of time. You are never too much for Him and you are always enough for Him. He created you and called you good. We have all passed by, and He loves us. On the days that you focus on your care, do not forget to focus on the person who cares most about you and loves you and knows you more. Every human being is unique and has its own advantages and disadvantages. This is a fact that we must accept and we should not view others as better as or worse than ourselves. By seeing all humans as equals, we will not be easily discouraged when we experience failure in life.

Taking a day off might be a need for you.

Mental prayer should not be seen as something exceptional, something that is done in a time taken from other activities but should become a habit, part of the normal rhythm of our lives so that its place is never questioned, not even a day. The time we spend away from the stress of daily life is not something that we should feel shame or guilt. In fact, that time on the sidelines is essential for our well-being and personal care. Mental prayer should become a daily event as vital to us as the basic rhythm of existence. It should be the breathing of our souls. Do not feel guilty for wanting to take a break and let your soul just breathe. There is time to work, and there is time to rest. Balance is a marker of whether our lives are normal or not. We are not slaves but free individuals and to note, no happiness without independence.

Students Depression: 5 Ways to Encourage Positive Thinking

Nearly every person on the planet experiences a depressing episode at least once in their lives. Sadly, in many cases, this happens exactly during one’s student years. Many factors contribute to this, from the hormonal cocktail of puberty to outright unrealistic expectations the world seems to heap upon one’s shoulders. It really is no wonder that suicide is the second leading cause of death among students (ADAA) or that 1in 5 college students suffer from anxiety or depression (TheConversation). In fact, real numbers can be higher, and we’ll never know because the majority of those suffering do not seek help.

It’s overwhelming to be so stressed with assignments, removed from home and support, and anxious about social and financial issues. That’s how many students are these days, and they have no one but themselves to rely on for getting through this.

Of course, it would be best to seek help, guidance, and counseling. But let’s be real, few people have the means and willpower to do this, especially when they are already struggling with a depressive episode. Thus, you have to use self-healing methods to fight theworst of it off. Positive thinking is one of those methods, and there’s research toprove its efficiency. The trick is to learn how to use and reinforce it whendefault thoughts in your head are far from positive.

5 Ideas on How to Nurture Positive Thinking within Yourself

1.     Assume the best. Forcibly if you have to

One of the greatest dangers of depression is how one absolutely innocent thing can drag you down a devolving spiral of dark negative thoughts. For example, you get a new assignment and five minutes later you become a trembling ball of anxiety and the only thought in your head is that you don’t have it in you to succeed.

Does that sound familiar?

Forcing you to assume the worst is what depression does, so you have to intentionally redirect those thoughts. Every time you get that kind of feeling, you need to stop yourself and play a game of positives. Go like this, you get a new complex assignment and next, you tell yourself ‘I can do it, I know which books I need, I have done similar things before, I have the power to succeed’. And even if you don’t really believe it yet in your heart of hearts, repeating those affirmations to yourself will help you get there.

2.     Provide yourself with positive visuals

As a student, you should know that images have a great power. In fact, it will be a part of your program to learn ways to visualize your data. That’s necessary for making your academic papers more comprehensible and authoritative. And you can apply the same methods of visualization in your quest of encouraging your brain to think positive.

Of course, you can simply stare at some specific images when repeating positive affirmations to yourself. Accompanying information with a picture makes the human brain memorize it better, as proves research. However, to beat depression, you need something more powerful. Instead, you should create charts, diagrams, and videos that will commemorate positive moments in your life and show your progress toward your goals.

Making these visuals personal will help you remember the good times and enhance your inner optimist, who is sleeping due to the depression. And working on them will take your mind off negative thoughts as you’ll be focused on a task. Visualization tools you use for your academic work will ensure that you create those ‘positive thinking aids’ fast, so your study schedule won’t be affected.

3.     Make an effort to surround yourself with positivity

Do you know what doesn’t help fighting depression? Toxic environment and people, both of which contribute to this mental disorder. There are studies to prove it. But what you need to take from them is that your environment has the power to affect your mental health. Therefore, you can use it to achieve the opposite effect.

Surrounding yourself with positive people and hanging out in places with a good and welcoming atmosphere will do this. Start with your favorite café and then look at various clubs and societies they have on campus.

4.      Become a philanthropist

A great way to promote positive thinking within yourself is seeing the happiness on other people’s faces and knowing you put it there. So, when you feel depressed, go out to your local shelter and volunteer to help out. Or participate in some community programs. Or find some other way to give to other people.

At the very least, you should go to the nearest support group and share your story. Not only will that help you, but seeing that you are making progress in battling your demons will inspire others in the same position.

5.      Turn bad situations into learning experiences

Positive thinking cannot prevent you from making mistakes or experiencing something bad. However, that’s when you need to apply logic.

Yes, something went wrong, but here you are. You survived, and now you can look back, learn from the experience, and be stronger for it!

Leadership That Cultivates Ethics Boost Employee Productivity

Matching your leadership style with your core principles may be one of the most underrated factors in helping you grow your business. An organizational structure where the vision, management system and actual operations speak one language, has a voice that reaches further than any marketing campaign. It has the capacity to ignite a renewed confidence within personnel and raise the bottom line to new heights.

What would be your answers to these questions about your company?

  • Does your brand reflect your core values?
  • Is the information on your website About Page the truth?
  • Do your inner and external business affairs use the same system?
  • Do you show your employees the same respect you do your clients?

These are just a couple of question to get you thinking about what ethical leadership entails.

Decision Making

There’s a saying that decision making is nothing more than clarifying your core values. When it comes to black and white issues it’s usually relatively easy to choose what would be the right choice for your business. However, when something complicated comes along, you could easily find yourself in murky waters. Exercising your will within these grey areas is definitely not something to take lightly, it requires a deeper level of principles to help bring the wisest decision to the surface.

In the process of making decisions, we are also choosing between the importance of one thing compared to another. Many decisions in our personal lives are made in a similar way where we check and re-check our priority lists. Again, what we value most will also have the highest level of importance.

Few if any decisions in business are ever completely free from scrutiny. Decisions that went against the core principles and values of your business might be hidden inside your company’s archives for years, but never lose their potency to trigger disaster.

Decisions give external expression to the internal evaluation of what we deem most important.

Setting a Standard

Building a foundation for your business goes hand in hand with setting a standard to which you hold yourself and your employees accountable to. It helps everyone to know the core principles and the most important values. It may take some time, in the beginning, to become familiar with your hierarchy. If you use the different elements in your system often enough it will rather sooner than later become an integral part of every man and woman under your brand name.

Culture

What’s interesting is that such a system sets the stage to help define the culture within your organization. It is a natural flow of elements that naturally match and support one another. It is an organic way of creating the behavior that helps drive a culture true to the characteristic of what you stand for.

Leadership, Character, and Integrity

For anyone, at the top leadership position of an organization, finding the balance between resources, productivity and profitability can lead to restlessness or even sleepless nights. Ask any person with some business experience and they will agree, it takes years to build a financially sound business yet only a few moments to destroy it.

One of the lesser known benefits of aligning your public image with your business’ inner workings and core principles is the potential it holds towards guarding your reputation. Isn’t it true that reputation is one of the most challenging elements of your business to pull back on track once it’s been derailed?

It may very well be that maintaining a good reputation isn’t any different than being the person and organization you tell the world you are.

Managing public opinion becomes a much easier job when what you say you are, is actually so.

Although we do not live in a perfect world, we are creatures that aspire to achieve excellence. Sometimes we make mistakes and sometimes come to lesser efficient decisions, among other faults. But in this world filled with the unknown, perfection seems nothing more than an illusion. So, it is rather good that upholding a reputation doesn’t mean striving towards perfection as much as it is in maintaining consistency.

Management System alignment

Seeing that as human beings we are fallible, a Management System comes to play a big role in helping your business steer on the right path. Just like an alarm or calendar notification, a Management System should make it easy for people to know what to do, how to do it and when to do it.

A good Management System

  • it’s available in a documented format (either as hard copy or in electronic format
  • it’s accessible by every employee
  • it’s well organized with a good readability score
  • it’s an integrated system that incorporates each aspect and section of your business
  • it’s in use every business day
  • it’s flexible and employees launch revision request.

 Theory vs Practice

Leadership principles have been a point of discussion for many decades now. From finding the niche point for staff members all the way to bettering client relations. By simply looking at books available on this topic it seems there is almost no space left for a fresh title among the vast numbers of books published throughout the history. Yet, books on leadership are frequently being published worldwide.

Books on how to be a good leader have reached from the biggest of companies to the smallest of businesses. Leadership, in its many different shapes and forms, is a regular topic of conversation between volunteer communities, the general public, as well as those in education. Here is the list of the Financial Times’s Best Business books (https://ig.ft.com/sites/business-book-award/) in the category Leadership and Management.

Knowledge and implementation

As with any level of knowledge we acquire in life, it is the practical implementation that determines whether our knowledge will be useful or not. Every person who has ever read a good book should know, reading something doesn’t mean you’re applying it to your life. It may be that putting some of the amazing pieces of information into practice would be more difficult than we at first imagined.

It is exactly this point – the practical implementation – that set organizations apart. On paper, knowledge can make perfect sense. It is when we try to implement it that we find our current system can either be a hindrance in our path or make the change as easy as walking.

Your leadership style too will impact the degree of difficulty or ease the organization can transition to integrate a foundation that protects your business, employees, and clients against unethical behavior are worth the effort.

Alignment

Here are a couple of elements you can consider integrating as part of one system. Align them with the vision, mission, and strategy of the organization. This will help your organization to speak as one voice. This is where ‘word of mouth’ gets a foothold.

  • Management System
  • Website
  • Social Media Platforms
  • Vision
  • Mission
  • Strategy
  • Objectives
  • Targets
  • Finance
  • HR
  • Resources
  • Operations
  • Company Culture

Different Leadership Styles

Look at the different scenarios around the styles of leadership below and see if it can help you run your business with better productivity. Some leaders can have a combination of these factors present in their leadership style. Each one of these styles has an impact on the productivity and profitability of the organization.

1. Visionary Leader

A visionary leader has the ability to share his hopes and dreams for the business and puts a system in place that supports the people working in it to efficiently reach the objectives in growing the business. Communication is clear, there are no or little blurry lines between different responsibilities.

2. The Dynamic Team Leader

Imagine, a style of leadership in touch with the actual work that needs to be done. A leader such as this has reasonable expectations for their team. This leader involves the team when considering changes to the system. The team is encouraged and draws from their practical insight and accumulative experience over the years. Such a leader taps into the energy of the team dynamic.

3. The Chop & Change Leader

This is a leader who likes to have full control and then do as he pleases. If you are a leader who wants full control and literally chop and change as you like, it’s going to be very difficult to pinpoint what your business requires. It might even be impossible for you to build a system geared toward supporting profitability and productivity. This leadership style is also very stressful from an employee’s perspective leading to further losses. A job where things can literally be flipped upside-down the following day leads to unmotivated employees and unreliable delivery.

4. The Ego Leader

This is a style of leadership that expects something additional from employees without being willing to compensate for it. And then complain about it. Read this article by Rudi Dalman from PeopleHR on leadership ego and that will give a better idea.

5. The Periodic Leader

There is the type of leader who periodically remembers that he is the boss of a number of people. He drops in one morning before golf, dish out orders left, right and center and runs out before any staff member has the opportunity to tell him that three of his orders can’t be acted upon because they are conflicting instructions.

Top 7 Workout Tips to Maximise Muscle Growth Today

If you look on the internet for how to build muscle, most sites will tell you simply to hit the gym and eat as much as possible. Whilst this is good advice, there’s a lot more to it than just that. Sure, you can make good progress with this basic advice, but can you make the best?

Alongside just eating more and working out, there are certain tips and tricks you can implement to maximize your progress. Some of these you may have heard of, but others are ones that people frequently miss out on.

Below, you’ll find the 7 best workout tips for building the maximum amount of muscle and strength to make sure that every workout is a good one.

1. Consume Protein Before Your Workout

When you exercise, your muscles get broken down and need to be repaired. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t actually build muscle in the gym – you build muscle outside of it through your recovery. In the gym, you actually lose muscle because the whole aim is to break down the muscle fibers, and the most important macronutrient for rebuilding them is protein.

Current research suggests that eating 0.75-1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight is optimal for avid lifters. Therefore, a 180lb person would need to eat between 135 to 150 grams per day split out evenly across your meals. Having one of these doses before your workout ensures that your muscles are being drip-fed amino acids as they get broken down.

2. Don’t Skimp on the Stretching

It’s easy to gloss overstretching at the start of your workout, but it’s actually an incredibly useful tool for maximizing performance and muscle growth. Stretching means that we can take our muscles through a longer range of motion, creating more stimulus with each muscle. It also means that we feel fewer aches as we work out, meaning that we can handle more. As well as this, it reduces our risk of injuries which could leave us away from the gym for days, weeks, or even months. The key to long-term progress is to avoid injury at all costs.

3. Eat Foods Rich in Potassium

Potassium gets taken from our body during intense bouts of exercise, meaning that we need to replace it afterward. Alongside sodium and calcium, potassium helps to provide energy to our muscles. The less potassium we have stored up, the less our muscles can do. Therefore, it’s a wise idea to include bananas or potatoes in your pre or post-workout meal.

4. Focus on Compound Movements

Compound movements give us the most bang for your buck as they not only train more musculature but also teach us how to use our muscles simultaneously. Isolation movements have their place, but if you’re interested in building serious muscle fast, then you need to put compound movements at the top of your priority list.

5. Pick the Right Exercises for Your Body Type

Not everyone’s body is the same. Some of us have longer arms or shorter legs than others, because of this, certain exercises can be easier or harder. If you’re finding a particular movement uncomfortable, then it could be down to the way you’re built genetically. Try using a few different variations until you find that sweet spot.

6. Train a Muscle in Different Positions of Tension

Opposed to just hitting your muscles from one angle, try to hit them from various different points to ensure that you’re leaving no stone unturned. For instance, if you’re looking to build your biceps, then putting your elbow in different positions from in front of you to the side to behind you make sure that you hit each head as well as move the maximum amount of weight.

7. Get More Sleep

Sleep is invaluable when it comes to any health or fitness related goal. The less sleep you get, the less your body can recover, the more fat you’re likely to put on, the more muscle you’re likely to lose. Not to mention, you feel much groggier. Aim for 7-9 hours per night.

Best 10 Positive Words to Inspire Yourself in the Morning

Undoubtedly, some of us find it difficult to wake up in the morning. However, even as we wake up, sometimes we do not have the will or the desire to start the day. This can be due to fatigue, stress, multiple work tasks, or a lousy sleeping routine. Anyway, we have to encourage ourselves every morning, so we have more will and be more productive during the day. Here are ten of the many facts that we should remind ourselves each morning for a better day.

1. A new Day, a new Opportunity

Every new day can bring something new into our lives. Many people may know this, but often they do not remember or appreciate the importance of this fact. We need every morning to wake up with this principle to try out something new that can bring about positive changes in our lives.

2. Don’t wait. The time will never be just right

One of the biggest mistakes people make is waiting for the right time. Often people do not have the ambition to start something new and wait for the right time to come. In fact, they have lost the most valuable thing. We need to manage time efficiently to achieve something in life. So we should remind ourselves every morning that we have to act and not just wait for “the right time” because the positive changes require self-initiative.

3. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great

This is another fundamental principle that we should remind ourselves. Many people fail to create something new because they do not consider themselves a “right person” to get started. In reality, it is quite the opposite. Almost all successful people have started from nothing.

4. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

As soon as we wake up in the morning, we have to fill ourselves with positive energy and see life more positively. This statement is more about the initiative that we have to take every day. Since everything starts from the first steps, we should not be afraid to create something great even though we began to. Most successful companies like EssayWritingLand started from nothing and worked hard to achieve their goals.

5. It is never too late to be what you might have been

We should understand this principle well and remind ourselves of it every morning. Even if you had a dream in your life that you did not achieve, it is never too late to start it again. If you have had the desire to behave with a particular profession, then it is not too late to start now and follow your dream.

6. Be Yourself

Maybe you have heard many times, but it’s true. Be yourself. Indeed, each of us has his positive virtues, so follow them. Each character is different and has its qualities. Therefore, no one should be copied, since the good is hidden within you. Try remembering your virtues every morning and tell yourself that you are a valuable person.

7. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop

Even if you do not have immediate progress, this does not mean you have to stop. If you are doing something and have not yet achieved the desired results, then once you wake up to remind yourself that you should not stop until you reach your goals.

8. The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goals.

Each of us must have our goals in life. This will give you more sense of your day and will make you ambitious. It is well-known fact that people who do not have specific goals, have a monotonous daily routine and feel ineffective and unproductive.

9. Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do

It would help if you always had the principle of going beyond your limitations. This usually makes successful people. Every morning remind yourself that you can achieve more and that you are willing to do things that ordinary people do not want to do. Challenges make you more powerful and give positivity to your life.

10 Try Something New

You should not be afraid of new things, and you should remind yourself now and then. Life has evolved too much, and I have changed. Therefore new things bring positivity and can give meaning to your life. You can do more if you ever go out of the routine and try something new.

Conclusion

Morning is the starting point of our day. So we have to be very careful about how we approach this period. We should fill ourselves with positivity and recover lost energy through our new ideas and ambitions.

10 Most Positive Words From Different Languages To Enjoy

There is an old adage that claims: “The number of languages you know is the number of people you are worth.” Just imagine how incredibly valuable is it to know the most positive words in any language! The people who created The Word Point (website for translation of 40+ languages) certainly know the importance of this, so you can even contribute by translating your own!

Inspired by their example, this time around we have compiled together an amazing list of ten most positive words of different languages. They are a magical example of how people around the globe create a beautiful vocabulary to express the beautiful ideas and feelings that are the building blocks of their world.

10 Most Positive Words Of Different Languages

Pirgun (Hebrew): this is one of those feelings that make people who feel them truly exceptional humans. If you are feeling “pirgun” (also sometimes encountered as “firgun”), it means that you are feeling great happiness and deep pride for someone else’s accomplishment, without being jealous or holding a grudge against them. It is certainly a very positive feeling and one we should all be able to develop.

Morgenfrisk (Danish): as you might be able to guess from its spelling, this is a morning word – “morgenfrisk” describes that lovely feeling of being completely rested after a good night’s sleep. Considering how fast-paced our modern world is, it is nice to know that people still notice and appreciate this little joy in life!

Solarfri (Icelandic): this word denotes a very peculiar little holiday. In Iceland, employees might be unexpectedly given a free afternoon, or the entire day off, when the weather is particularly sunny and warm. Imagine being given time off work just to enjoy the sunshine! If that does not make for a positive office life, then nothing does.

Retrouvailles (French): This is a word for a reunion (with your family or your loved ones) after being apart for a long time. Even more than the English “reunion”, it also carries the meaning of a wonderful surprise: literally, it means “rediscovery”.

Ukiyo-e (Japanese): the literal translation of this word, “floating world”, will probably convey nothing to the mind of a non-Japanese person. However, it is brimming with positive philosophy. Ukiyo-e describes a person who lives in the present moment and lets all the minor distractions and life’s little grievances just roll right out of their field of attention. These people appreciate every minute and never take anything for granted.

Forelsket (Norwegian): this word has been invented to describe one very particular feeling, or rather a phase of a feeling. It is meant to pinpoint that odd giddiness you get along the way to falling in love – when you are already past the stage of having a crush on the person, but you still have not reached the point of actually saying “I love you.”

Cafune (Brazillian Portugese): yet another wonderful word inspired by love, this refers to the act of tenderly running your fingers through your lover’s hair.

Shinrin-yoku (Japanese): yes, this is a single word. The Japanese have come up with a name for the activity of going into the woods in order to calm down your mind and soothe yourself when the going gets tough. The literal translation would be “forest bathing”.

Zindabad (Urdu): This is a word of Persian origin. It is mostly used as a cheer, but it has another lovely little use: if you say it right after a person’s name, it turns into a well-wishing expression, a way to wish someone longevity and health, and it literally means “long live.”

Sonrisa (Spanish): sounds oddly similar to “sunrise”, right? However, the actual meaning of the word is “smile”. This is probably not a coincidence since they both definitely bring light and warmth to people’s days.

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, people around the globe reserve their most positive vocabulary for the small things in life: a nice day, spending time with family, or just smiling. It goes to show that no matter what may be happening in the world, we never really forget what the important things are. The Danish “hyggelig”, roughly translated as “coziness”, is a wonderful example of this which recently took the Internet by storm.
