Top 5 Things To Give Up For Happiness And Fulfillment Now

We all want to be happy – that’s just a fact of life. However, no matter what we do or how much we attain, it always feels like something is missing. Therefore, that poses the question: what brings happiness and fulfillment? The answer lies in “giving up,” as contradictory as that sounds.

These are five things you need to give up for happiness and fulfillment:

1. Unhealthy coping mechanisms

Stress is inevitable, but appropriately reacting to it is an entirely different obstacle. Ask yourself: do your coping mechanisms improve the state of your stress or do they make it worse? Examples of harmful coping mechanisms include emotional eating, gambling, and substance abuse. While these things help your stress at the moment, they have the ability to become habitual. Instead of avoiding stress with unhealthy behaviors, make an effort to be productive with your coping mechanisms: dedicate time to a hobby, invest a moment into self-care, or even go outside and exercise. By doing so, you redirect your energy and emotions into a positive outlet, rather than avoiding a problem and hurting yourself in the process.

2. The need to please other people

It’s understandable that you want to be accepted and well-liked by other people, but that doesn’t mean your choices should be made based on what others want or expect from you. The most important opinion in this world is the one you have of yourself. People-pleasing is ultimately living your life for other people, who may not even care that your main goal is to please them or avoid disappointment.

3. Negative self-talk

Our worst critic is ourselves, but that doesn’t mean it has to be an angry and berating critic. Therefore, challenge your negative self-talk. Put it into perspective: is the negative self-talk realistic? What evidence deduces that you aren’t good enough, etc.? We all make mistakes and are imperfect, but that’s what makes us human and helps us become more emotionally mature and resilient people.

 4. Toxic relationships

Toxic relationships do nothing but bring unnecessary stress and anxiety to your life. There’s no reason to be around people who are condescending, morally questionable, or emotionally draining. You should feel valued and like an equal in your relationships. Never settle for people who treat you like an inferior or only care about themselves.

5. An attitude of entitlement

Entitlement breeds laziness and close-mindedness, preventing you from ever growing as a person. Success does not fall into your lap, nor do you simply wake up one day owning everything you want. If you live life with an attitude of entitlement, you never learn to take responsibility for your actions. Happiness demands hard work – but accomplishing a goal is more fulfilling and rewarding than having everything handed to you.

The number one thing every human being has in common is the desire to achieve happiness and fulfillment. While that may be defined differently for each person, the solution is still the same: people must look within themselves to find happiness and fulfillment. Only through introspection, changing our attitude, and committing to the right actions can we truly satisfy our inherent restlessness.

Best 3 Inspiring Tips About Finding New Inspirations in Life

It’s important to stay positive in life, and there is no better way than by nurturing your interests and hobbies. If you are looking to find new inspirations in life, you can keep things fresh. You can do that by trying and discovering new things no matter what stage of your life you’re in.

Fortunately, hobbies don’t have “age limits” and you can take up a new hobby at any point in your life. Pushing your comfort zone is the key to keep your life exciting, so it’s always a good time to look for a new interest to try out. Here are a few ways to bring new inspirations into your life.

1. Travel and Music

Music and traveling are two of the most inspirational activities out there. When you listen to music you can get lost in the rhythm and meaning, purge your emotions in a healthy way, and momentarily forget about your worries. When you travel you have new experiences, discover new things about yourself, and you nourish your curiosity. Put them together and you will find yourself in a truly spiritual experience.

A great way to do this is to find a concert you want to go to and drive there. If you really want a transformational experience, you can rent an RV or pack a tent and head to a music festival. You may not make it to Coachella, but there are plenty of music festivals that involve some sort of camping and that last for three days or more.

This way, you can travel more, give in to spoiling yourself, and maybe even make a few new friends. Plus, you will keep up with your interests and when you get back, you will be renewed with positive energy.

2. Create Your Space

Between all the hectic tendencies of life, keeping your home nice can fall through the cracks. Even if you keep your house clean the majority of the time, there can be a lot of work to do. Your home should be a place where you feel safe, happy, and comfortable. You should be able to feel like yourself and relax after a long day.

If this doesn’t exactly describe your home, then you might want to look into giving your space a bit of freshening up. You can start by decluttering. Over the years, you may not realize how much unnecessary stuff you bring home.

Whether it was useful at one point or you just made an impulse buy, it’s all too easy to let unuseful objects accumulate in our homes. Removing clutter from your house can help remove some mental burden from your every day stress, not to mention that it can help you stay organized. Staying organized, in turn, helps you feel more in control and productive.

Once you have decluttered, you can make the space your own. Add a few personal touches to the room. In your bedroom, you can get a new bed spread, a nice pillow, and a throw blanket to make your room more comfortable. In the bathroom, you can replace your shower curtain with something soothing, add candles, and get a new bath mat.

3. Take On a Project

To help make your space your own, you can flex your DIY skills. You can try something simple, like painting and making over a lamp, or you can take on a challenge, like reupholstering your chairs. DIYing is great because you can often save money and end up with a personalized object that you can make exactly how you want.

Additionally, you can work your green thumb skills and bring plants into your home. Just as going out in nature helps relax you, studies have found that keeping indoor plants around can help you feel relaxed and calm, improve your concentration, and boost your mood.

If any of these sound appealing to you — and why wouldn’t they — bring home a few plants and start your indoor garden. It can be hard to keep plants, so start with just one or two, and as your gardening confidence grows, so can your collection. Keep in mind the climate in your area, available light, and how much effort you are willing and able to invest in keeping them.

Feed whatever passion you have that inspires you. Incorporate whatever brings you joy and fulfillment into your life as much as you can. You might forget to do this every once in a while, and that’s okay. It’s just important to always come back to the things that make you happy and working to discover new inspirations.

Make Yourself a Cup of Tea: Simple Self-Care Guide to Try

We all know that we have to take care of ourselves, but we don’t know how to fit it into our already busy schedules. It is actually even more important to take care of yourself when you have a hectic lifestyle that leaves you without much energy at the end of the day. As a writer, I am always in front of the computer and after a day of paraphrasing plagarism, I sometimes do not have the time for self-care. What I have realized is that self-care does not have to be extreme. It is the little things we do that can have huge impacts. Here is my simple self-care guide.

Redefine success

The pressure we put on ourselves to be successful can be a lot and if we only step away from what we are told, it might be easier. Success is different for everyone and you need to redefine it for your own life. By eliminating some of the pressure, you can find some time to breathe. This is not to say that you have to give up on your goals and dreams, but rather only focus on the ones that brings you pure joy.

Treats count

If you do not have the time to go to a spa and have a day of relaxation, give yourself a treat just for getting through the day. This can be a cup of your favorite tea or just a block of chocolate. Life should not be lived worrying about things that don’t matter. It does not have to be food. You can also do your nails at home or have a long bubble bath. There are reasons why these treats are spoken about often. It really is just about rejuvenating yourself and give you that moment to appreciate what you have.

Write

You do not have to be an ez rewriter to be writing every day. A journal is always a good idea, or simply writing something inspiring. This is a great release after you have been knocking down giants the whole day. Write about something that happened to you in the day or some place you would like to visit. No matter what it is, there is a therapeutic aspect to it that we cannot deny.

Positive self-talk

By far the most important aspect of self-care is to change all the negative thoughts in your head. It is not always as easy as flipping a switch, but with practice, you can become your own motivator. After rephrasing a sentence online for a thousand times, I might start believing that I don’t have what it take to be a writer. Instead, I would tell myself that I am such a champ for not giving up.

Music

Nothing heals the battered soul like listening to your favorite tunes. Music can be a release for so many people and what you listen to says a lot about you and the space you are in mentally. Put your feet up and press that play button. Being able to relate to some of the words in a song can make you feel like the world understands you.

Conclusion

Do not neglect yourself on your road to success. Happiness has always been more important than making another buck. Enjoy your life and remember that you are your biggest asset, so take care of you.

Best Ways Of Recognizing Depression in Older People Today

For many older people, especially those in poor health or living alone, the onset of depression can be severe. However, by maintaining positive mental and physical health, coupled with adequate support from family and friends, older people can continue to lead happy, fulfilling lives long past the age of retirement.

Seniors may find it hard to acclimatize to having an abundance of spare time on their hands, which could lead to boredom. The best way of maintaining happiness through retirement is to keep occupied as much as possible, whether that’s through joining a social group or giving your time to volunteering. Even if the person doesn’t have the physical capacity to do either of these, they could concentrate on a new hobby which doesn’t necessitate leaving the house.

Good physical health reduces depression in older people

Maintaining good physical health will manifest itself in feeling happy and fulfilled mentally therefore will reduce depression in older people. Even mild daily exercise like a 15-minute walk or some light yoga will keep an older person in great shape, while it’s recommended to keep as healthy a diet as possible. These will all complement one another perfectly to result in a physically flourishing and mentally strong senior citizen.

While these are all actions that the older person can take, their happiness will most likely be enhanced by renewed support from family and friends. The older person would probably accept an invitation to an adult son or daughter’s house once a week. All the more so if the younger adult gets involved in an activity with them. This can help to reinforce the bond between them and gives the older person something to which they’ll eagerly look forward every week.

Growing old does not need to automatically mean sinking into a depressing, morose retirement. Rather, it can be a time spent on enjoying the finer aspects of life and cherishing moments spent with family and friends. It could even help an older person to add a few extra years to their life thanks to the preservation of thriving mental and physical health.

Top 5 Signs You Are Giving Up On Your Dreams And Hopes

Some people are just so lucky.
They seem to know what they want in life since they were kids. They work their ways to do things that make them happy. Also, receive support from their families and friends.

These people become extraordinary in their fields. They love their works and people love them, give them so much attention.

It sucks right? Because life seems so unfair.

While they know exactly who they want to become, you cannot even imagine how you will be in 5 years. Yes, you still remember the childish dream when you were a kid, but come on, who can make a living out of it?

Plus, even if you want to pursue it, it’s too late now. You are already settled down. You don’t like your job but at least it pays you. You have a family to support, you cannot be reckless and risk it all.

Yes, one day you will be working on your dream. It’s just not today. You are way too busy and occupied right now.

When is that “one day”? You don’t know yet. But “one day” you will do it.

What do those successful people know that you don’t?

Not all successful people were born blessed and lucky like you imagined. Many of them struggled in the past, many of them had their own sad stories. Some of them thought of giving up more than one time.

But they have something in common.

They don’t give up on their dream and do everything they can to pursue it.

Do you have that?

Yes, you have a dream. You are passionate about it. Yes, you decided to pursue it. But you decided to work on it “one day”. They are working on their dreams now.

Instead of making excuses to delay it, they decided to work right away.

Do you want to know if you still have the mindset of “almost successful” people? Here are 5 signs that you are giving up on your dream. Tell me, how many of them are you guilty of?

1. Your “should do” list becomes more important than your “want to do”

You know that working and achieving your dream takes time. A very long time indeed. You don’t know if it will be 5 years, 10 years or even 20 years.

Since it is so far away in the future, it can wait a little longer. Because you are busy right now.

You have a long list of things you should do. And you have to do them right away because they are urgent. So “now” is just not a good time.

The more you delay it, the less important your dream become. Your daily chores and errands can even come before your dream.

2. The “I am fine” syndrome

How are you feeling exactly? Frustrated, depressed because of your reality or you are feeling okay and “not too bad”?

Let me tell you about the frog boiling experiment.

If you put a frog into the hot boiled water, it will jump immediately. But if you put it into cold water and cook the water slowly, the frog will stay put until it dies.

The more you get comfortable with the situation you are in, the less chance you have to step out of your comfort zone to get what you really want. Before you know it, your dream is dead without any jumping!

3. You compare yourself with less fortunate people

You often compare yourself with other people. You get jealous and anxious when you see how perfectly talented and happy people are. You become frustrated and think of yourself as a victim.

To get over this feeling, you then decide to compare yourself with less fortunate people. But it’s not because you appreciate your life the way it is. It’s because it makes you feel better about yourself and the situation you are in.

It’s easy to compare yourself with your peers, realizing they are doing worse than you and stop trying to achieve your goals because what you have today is enough.

4. You are not willing to give up other things in your life

Following your dreams is a hard work. It requires commitment and sacrifices. And you are just not ready for it yet.

Do you love watching movies? You can watch series after series for hours. However, you are not ready to stop yet.

Do you love going out to relax at night after work? You are not ready to go home and start studying yet.

Maybe you love traveling. You are not ready to bring your work with you when you travel, and you are not ready to give up traveling yet.

There are many things you love to do, and suddenly they become so important that you feel regretful giving them up. So instead, you put a hold on your dreams, because they are so far away after all.

5. You doubt your dreams

The more you spend the time to think about your dreams, the more unrealistic it becomes. The more you plan it, the more uncertain it becomes. As a consequence, the more you talk about it, the sillier it becomes.

The truth is, it might not have any problem with your dreams and your plan. But in fact, you are doubting yourself.

What you are doing is not planning, it is making excuses and convincing yourself to give up.

Don’t spend your life thinking “what if”

You are ambitious and talented. You might not believe it but you have what it takes to succeed.

Only if you stay with it.

Yes, it is hard, it is painful when you follow your dreams. You will have to sacrifice many hobbies, many chances to have a good time. You will feel vulnerable, scared and excited at the same time.

Only if you stay with it.

Life is short. Don’t spend your life thinking “what if” and regret later.

Your dream is your baby. Your dream is still inside you, screaming and trying to get out and see the light. Give it a chance. Give yourself a chance and go for it.

So stop making excuses, and let’s do it. Together. Right now.

Emotional Freedom Technique Can Change Your Life Now

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) means acquittal of any sort of emotional energy tethered to your fear. That merely can be done through meditation, self-confidence, and self-improvement. This usually happens when one has a bad experience with a certain situation and expects the same thing again. However, it is generally said to try and try, until you succeed and so you will.

Extraordinary compared to other vitality treatments out there is EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT is straightforward, intense and adaptable. It tends to a wide range of emotional and physical issues. EFT manipulates the body’s energy system, while at the same time utilizing mind focus to address a specific issue. It can be utilized for general critical thinking or problem-solving in business.

Our thinking directly affects our well-being

Negative thinking makes low energy levels and positive reasoning produces higher energy levels. EFT works on the premise that persistent negative thinking causes lowering of general energy levels ultimately disrupting the free flow of energy. The disruptions caused to the body’s energy system manifest as emotional or physical problems.

This new procedure has an assortment of names. However, all are thought to be “Energy Therapies.” The fundamental introduce of EFT is that “the reason for every negative feeling is a disturbance in the body’s energy system”. The use of this methodology will reestablish the system to culminate adjust.

It is an alteration of the recuperating technique for pressure point massage yet utilizes tapping with one’s fingers, rather than needles. We have a tendency to make enthusiastic squares as an approach to cover agonizing sentiments that we figure we cannot deal with.

Physical pain regularly creates contractions in our muscles and joints. Also, we may create emotional issues, for example, fears and discouragement. EFT opens the blocks or resistances that are surrounding the pain so you can release it.

6 Great Benefits of Technology On Good Parenting Today

Technology over the years has done the magic with the people of the world. Young children have led themselves in an environment where they have got the most suited advancements and developments. The outcomes of the technology and its creatures are unbelievable for children’s emotional and social well-being.

No matter what kinds of ramifications the technology has ever introduced for children when it comes to the positive benefits we are not even able to count them. Most people have technology in their minds in the form of cell phone gadgets. They think the connection with the online world may put a kid in real danger, but the inherent risks associated with the technology is only man’s created. Without any doubt, the threats are real and fear is imminent for the parents when it comes to the responsibility of parenting.
But the advantages of the technology are far bigger than vulnerabilities. However, parents need to be aware of the fact that they should get to know and embrace the advantages of technology and allow children to steer them alongside their support and with critical analysis.

Over the years researchers have found that young kids and teens have learned the art of using technology. They use it to get information, entertainment, and as a tool for communication through social networks. Now we are going to discuss in detail how technology has positive advantages for parenting.

Benefits of parenting technology

Parents in the age of technology have often faced many issues. The contemporary technology tools and methods have turned the table over for parenting. It has empowered parents with the potential to do effective parenting on children that can make them sharper, focused, and well-informed.
Let’s discuss how technology is playing a positive role when it comes to parenting.

1. Eyes coordination with hands

Technology has introduced educational games. These education-based games are really helpful to teach young kids to chase objects with eyes and hands at the same time.
So hands and eye coordination are the best for kids at their initial childhood stage and enable children to learn the art in order to interact with the systems. As an example clicking on the right button in order to get the desired results.

2. access to huge amount of information

Obviously, the children can learn the things they have seen in their daily lives or what really they have learned in schools and from their parents. They learn what they see or what they have been taught by their parents.
Contemporary technology has enabled children to explore the world of information in the form of video and as well as written content. It has opened a new gateway to get access to a wide range of information by connecting them to the web through cell phones gadgets.

3. Basic language skills through technology

The contemporary computer and cell phones allow kids to interact with the devices on anything they want to. They can do research regarding any subject, topic, or just the information they want to know about.
Kids just need to put the queries into the search engines and then they get hundreds of results out of it regarding a single asked question. This improves their knowledge and language skills and that can make them more intelligent to find more information in a little time.

4. How to solve problems?

Certainly, there is a number of websites and games that allow young kids to play in such a way that it takes to learn how to solve a basic mathematical problem. It will really sharpen the minds of young kids without getting help from their parents.
At the end of the day, a young child will have a fully developed brain to solve the problems in a given time without getting anyone’s help. It means technology is doing the job of parenting and parents would not have to worry about anything.

5. Monitor child screen activities with parenting technology

Technology has attracted young minds in the shape of cell phones and computers. They want to spend most of their time in online games, social media apps, and many other activities.
So, parents don’t need to have their presence when they are getting entertained by all the upper mention stuff. Parents can remotely monitor screen activities on smartphones and computers with the help of cell phone and computer spying apps.

6. Interactive is better than passive

According to the researchers, the benefits of technology in a positive way are good when it comes to parenting. Mostly when the screen time of kids is interactive rather than passive. The technology-based machines and gadgets are healthier for children when it is supervised by the parents with the help of kids monitoring software.
So, parents don’t need to peep into the kid’s devices such as smartphones, tablets, pads, and computers. They can use the technology in the shape of computer spy app and cell phone tracking apps to supervise the children’s activities to the fullest.

 Conclusion

Parenting technology has become far easier than ever before. Technology has provided plenty of tools to parents to be effective and to get the best and positive results out of it.

5 Principles That Make You Successful in Less Than 10 Years

Success is not easily attainable. You need a strong dosage of courage and boldness to reach it. You also need intelligence and commitment to set powerful, meaningful life goals, and patience to let all of the magic happen. There is no “key to success,” as many people might say. There’s only one way you can conquer this world and achieve your goals: self-confidence and honesty.

In order to be good at something, you must first be honest with you, and see where you stand. Are you on the bottom end? Are you on the top end? How would you describe your results compared to other peoples’? After you’ve answered that question, next step is working towards your self-confidence.

Accept what you should improve, and be bold enough to keep your head up no matter the circumstances. If you don’t see any tangible results after a while, don’t give up. It’s your goal, it’s your life. Make the best out of it.

Here are some ideas on how to climb the success ladder in less than 10 years. No jokes, I promise. Just (painful?) truths.

1. Not All People Are Successful

As I’ve warned you, I am going, to be honest with you. Most of the people you talk to, listen to, and care about won’t be successful. They might talk a lot about life goals, plans, and strategies, but they will get lost in the process. Their plans will disappear once they hit reality. They will understand that in the real world, you must provide in order to survive, and give out more than you can take.

For most people, that is a bummer. Such a bummer that most of them give up. They stop trying, and they blame it on society. They become “disappointed with life,” and lose it. They can’t evolve anymore because they need to survive – and in order to survive, they need to provide.

I am giving you this honest truth so you know what to expect. 95% of the people around you aren’t going to be successful. You might. But you must first understand how to join the 5%.

2. Keep Your Head in The Game

There are many things to remember if you want to reach success – but the first one is always the crucial one. Keep your head in the game! No matter how many difficulties you might go through, no matter how much you suffer, no matter how stressed out you are, you have to keep going. How to start:

  • Focus on your daily tasks
  • Don’t let people distract you. If they do, avoid any contact you have with them while you work
  • Be persistent
  • Face your fears
  • Let go of negative thoughts and emotions
  • Push, push, push

3. There Will Be Hard Times

You already know this, but it’s true. There will be hard times, but they shall pass. Don’t let yourself be overwhelmed by negative thinking and too many worries. Keep your head in the game, concentrate on your work, and from time to time, don’t forget to have some fun. There is no way you’ll be able to survive hard times by staying in your bed and watching Netflix alone.

Go out, meet new people, socialize, find new connections, expand your friends’ circle – you need that as a human! But then always come back to your work! Hard times will pass, but your success rate has to stay constant, or improve. Most people get lost in this part of the process. These life obstacles overwhelm them deeply, and they can’t find the courage to stand up again. Don’t be one of these people. Stand up and fight.

4. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Being comfortable feels nice and cozy, but is it really good for you? Think about it. If you spend your entire life in a “normal,” regular setting, are you going to evolve? Are you going to be exposed to unusual situations? Are you going to learn from your experiences? Probably not. That’s why you must get out of your comfort zone.

One of my best friends once told me: “Experiencing failure and discomfort is crucial in the process of reaching success. I saw that in myself. Becoming one of the best professional writers online was not an easy job, but I made it – of course, after endless tries.”

“There are so many things to learn, see, face, accomplish, that you can’t run away from all of them – and you shouldn’t,” she continued. “I am not sure how you define success, but we can surely agree that success means evolution, doesn’t it?”

That’s when I thought: “Well.. how am I going to evolve without the necessary setting?” And guess what I did? I got out of my comfort zone. I left home and started a completely new life on my own.

Take your first step. Do that now. Start your journey. Every small step counts.

5. Give Up on Distractions

If there are things or people in your life that you find distracting, it’s time to kiss them goodbye. If you’ve decided to be part of the top 5%, there is no way you can let others steal your dream. Ex-boyfriends/girlfriends, bad parents, awful friends – they need to go away and leave space for the good things that will follow.

Side Note: There is one more thing I would like to add. It’s not a principle per se, it’s more like a life advice. Don’t make success only about the money. In the short term, money might bring happiness and joy, but in the long term, there is more to life than that. Find your passions and develop them into something special – that is the only way you can truly reach success.
