12 Ways To Find Inspiration For Creative Writing

creative writing

A lot of writers often find themselves stuck without any inspiration or new ideas. This is not news to those who have been writing for a while. At first, you are full of ideas because it is a new venture, but with time this may dwindle. It is important for a writer to remain focused and find inspiration, almost on a daily basis. Even if you are passionate about the craft, creative writing does not always just happen. You need something to inspire you for creative writing and we found the best ways.

1. Books

It is no secret that reading can help spark creativity. Read something new and out of your normal genre. I would go as far as finding a book in a foreign language and using online translation services. This is exciting and every culture has a different way of expressing events.

2. Movies

You can watch a great movie without feeling guilty. Often times these movies can inspire us or give us a new idea. Writers can find inspiration anywhere and be laying on the couch, watching a good movie is one of those places.

3. Music

Put on your favorite song and listen to every word or every beat. Music has a way of bringing out emotions we never even knew were there. These emotions are what sparks inspiration.

4. Nature

Go on a hike and spend some time in nature. You will get a good workout in and appreciate your surroundings. There is something magical and mystical that happens when we spend time outdoors.

5. Travel

With all the online translations you have access to, you can travel to just about anywhere. New cultures, food, languages, and environments can help us break free from the dreaded writer’s block.

6. Poetry

The way words flow in poetry can range from romantic to devastating. A lot of writers find inspiration by reading poetry. It is effective and there is always something to be experienced emotionally when reading poetry.

7. Meditation

Did you know that quieting the mind has a lot of power? We are over thinkers and spending time in pure silence is beneficial to our creative side. It allows our brains and emotions to stabilize, opening it up to new ideas.

8. Freewriting

There is so much power in writing without thinking too much. Just spend a few minutes writing about whatever comes to mind. It is freeing and fun for every writer. We constantly have a specific set of rules attached to writing, but every now and then, spend some time freewriting.

9. Art

This can be simply looking at a good art piece or trying your hand at it. Take on an art project that you can use at times when you feel a little flat. Visit a museum from time to time. It provides tons of inspiration.

10. Have fun

Get a new hobby or do something that you absolutely enjoy. Looking for an online document translator is not a hobby, but rather something that will make you feel happy inside.

11. Sleep

When our minds are tired we struggle to focus, let alone find inspiration. Make sure you get an adequate amount of sleep. You will also be surprised at the amount of inspiration you can find lying in bed.

12. Wait

Sometimes all you have to do is give it a little bit of time. These moments when we don’t have inspiration are usually short-lived. Take some time out from trying to come up with a new idea for a day or so and your inspiration will resurface.

Best Ways To Use A Journal To De-Stress

de-stress

Technology is advancing quickly but some values and traditions keep up with it while staying the same. One of those traditions is definitely journaling. Young generations find that the beauty of journals and journaling far surpasses blogging and online diary keeping – pen and paper are here to stay.

At the end of a long day, it’s best that you sit down with a cup of tea or coffee, turn off all of your devices and start writing. Not only is journaling popular and beautiful but it also has a therapeutic effect and helps you de-stress.

If you still haven’t decided to pick up the pen and begin, here are some benefits that you’ll notice if you journal every day.

1. Journaling can help you get rid of negative thoughts

When you put those words on pen and paper, you slowly start to let go of all of your negativity. Words are now on paper, not in your head. You’ll find that it’s a lot easier to go about your life once you release all of your bad energy on the page. It would become easier to de-stress.

This kind of experience is something you would hardly have online since typing does not give the same satisfaction.

One study even says that if you write your thoughts down and then throw them away, you’ll be able to keep them at bay for a while. Of course, thoughts regenerate but once you throw them away, you’ll be able to forget about them, at least a bit.

2. Journaling is empowering

“Through journaling, you can track your own life and what happened to you, how you felt and what made you sad – it gives you perspective. This new perspective on your life will enable you to draw lessons that you would otherwise miss completely”, – explains Carol Garner, a Psychology writer at Bestbritishessays.

Whatever bothers you, write it down and after a while, you’ll be able to see what you can learn from that.

3. It gives you a chance to spend time without technology

Technology can sometimes have a therapeutic effect on people, especially when they use social media to connect with friends and family etc. However, it’s always a good idea to turn off all of your devices and dive into the wonderful world of writing your thoughts down.

4. Gratitude journaling reduces levels of stress and makes you happier

Gratitude journaling is a great practice where you write down everything that you are grateful for or happy about in your journal. This is believed to have a therapeutic effect since it draws positive energy and brings it to you. It helps you learn to look out for the better things in life. After a while, you’ll be noticing details that you are thankful for with an ease and all thanks to your journal. It can even help you think less about negative things in your life by simply thinking more about good things.

5. Give yourself wise advice

Once you notice that there are lessons to be learned in your journal, you’ll see all of your mistakes and wrong steps. Write about it in the third person so you can have some more perspective on the whole situation.

Jason Horn, a Personal Coach at Ukservicesreviews comments: “Journaling about a big decision you’ll have to make or a tricky situation that you are in will help you see it clearly. Then you could give yourself the kind of advice that you give to your friends and listen to what your heart tells you. Journaling has that kind of therapeutic effect on people and it helps them realize what they need to do”.

How to Start Writing a Journal and de-stress

There are plenty of ways that you could start journaling. First, you could get an actual notebook and write in or a new email where you’ll send yourself journal entries, or a private blog. After you have decided upon this, you’ll probably wonder what to write and how to write it.

For the beginning, you could use some tools to help you out:

–  Studydemic or Academized to give you some writing guidance if you don’t think that you are a talented writer.

AcademAdvisor and Bigassignments are online editing and proofreading tools that can be useful to you if you are a perfectionist or if you simply want your journal to be beautiful and mistake-free.

Oxessay is a formatting tool which will give you an excellent insight on formatting – it was recommended by Uktopwriters.

Writingpopulist is a website that will give you plenty of fresh, quality writing tips and advice.

Australian help is a grammar checking tool that will make sure that your text displays no grammar mistakes.

Conclusion

You should definitely start journaling right away – with all of these health benefits, you will learn to de-stress sooner than you think. Let the journal into your life and allow it to guide you through your emotions.

Much Ado About Success: Possible For Everyone?

Much Ado about Success: Possible for Everyone?

Success! What an overused, misunderstood word!

Many motivational speakers speak about what produces success. They promote varied ideas to gain it, such as writing goals, developing self-confidence, setting minds on objectives, etc. But they don’t tell what success is!

Yes, writing goals is helpful — and keeping them in front of us. Rewriting them, adjusting them, is part of that. Today, writing goals is especially helpful because of countless distractions around us, especially the non-factual.

Yet, at least one successful person never wrote down goals. Rush Limbaugh said he’s never done that—and none can claim he’s not successful in his arena, no matter our political persuasion. So, writing goals isn’t a requisite.

Self-confidence and self-esteem

Developing better self-confidence is helpful. But, the current practice of giving unwarranted ‘rewards’ for just competing causes confusion, not confidence. Plus, the culture’s habit of name-calling when people stand up for something or someone damages confidence. Yet, thinking we need to tell ourselves how smart or talented we are or how we can do something better than another isn’t the answer, either. We know within ourselves if we are smart or talented, and to compare ourselves to others is pointless.

Nothing builds self-esteem more than striving for, and doing, good — and doing what is right, despite risks. Seeking goodness, utilizing our talents in the best ways, helping others, all help us see our true worth, which develops our confidence and happiness! It may seem odd initially, but self-esteem increases humility which is attractive! Why else seek humility?

St Augustine said, “It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.” St Augustine was a learned man, a theologian, a philosopher, an influential man in his era and today. Could he be right?

Patience and Goals

Now, setting our minds on our ultimate objectives is important. Yet, if the goal is a long-range goal, (the best ones are!), we need the patience to live with the delay, not get discouraged and stay focused. Why else seek patience?

Psychologists report that patience is power, born of understanding! So, we grow in internal strength and endurance, making life easier, and making our bodies healthier!

Of course, for ‘believers,’ prayer is powerful for goal assistance, though we don’t always see the effect. One thing, for sure: prayer never hurts!

Our own kind of success

But striving for/gaining success is never good when it’s a result of ‘walking on others.’ If we leave a trail behind us of people hurting because of our activities/words, then that’s fake success. It cannot produce goodness but results in a rotten tree that produces rotten fruit. We may obtain more money, more power, more prestige. But in truth, we’ll be a failure. Looking inside ourselves, if we’re honest, we cannot feel good about obtaining gain through others’ losses. Though we may try to puff ourselves up, ignore our faults, and forget others’ pain, we will ultimately find misery from guilt.

If we experienced harm through someone rising in rank due to unethical practices or injustice, we cannot let ourselves sink to the same level. We can find our own success, no matter where we are, what our status is, how much we make.

Ingenuity

In addition, we don’t find success via mandated to-do lists. Without freedom of using our ingenuity, we may accomplish tasks, but not find success in them. Likewise, if we mandate others, that doesn’t create success for us or them.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. I’m no expert and I’ve not made millions or even hundreds giving advice on success. I’ve only advised teams, in several companies, and I was ‘in the trenches with them,’ working for their successes as well as mine. Most of this is based on a combination of common sense, experience as a manager and an underlying, referring to wise leaders, and studying ‘success.’

So, what is ‘success?’

‘To each, his own!’ We can be successful in challenging conversations. We can find success in difficult projects. We can appreciate success in our hobbies.

There are different degrees, different types, of success. We’re only failures if we quit trying. The famous Zig Ziglar said, “Failure is an event, not a person.” So, when we persist, we’re being successful in advancing toward our goals!

So, perhaps ‘success’ is simply found in setting our minds on goals, being patient, and doing good in helping others in the meantime!

Consider a poor, old woman who begged for food and money. She said, “When you don’t have anything, then you have everything.” Sound like success? Hint:  She didn’t beg for herself.

Actions speak for themselves

Mother Teresa served others/ loved everyone through her words and actions. She served the lowly, the dying, the dirty, never thinking about herself. In her humble work in an obscure location, was she successful?

She received the Nobel Peace Prize for spreading love, and 120 other awards/ honors, including the highest U.S. civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. But she would not claim success, only continual efforts.

Mother Teresa made powerful statements, relevant here:

If you’re kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you do good today, people forget it tomorrow. Do good anyway.

If you do your best, it will never be enough. Do your best anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some will be jealous. Be happy anyway.

If you’re successful, you’ll win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

There’s not much to be said after that!

Top 5 Most Inspiring Jobs for Helping People

inspiring jobs

We all have different goals and views on how we see our lives pan out. No matter what you are trying to achieve, your passion and DNA won’t likely change. When it comes to helping people, you need to have a passion for it before you get started. Getting up every morning knowing that you are going to help someone is exciting and satisfying.

Every individual would like to feel they accomplished something at the end of the day. Helping others is a great way to do just that. Seeing nursing resumes makes me happy because I do believe that there is a reason behind the qualification. Of course, this is just one example and there are many other ways you can combine your career and helping others.
Check these inspiring jobs that could be what you were looking for.

1. Nutritionist

Our society is becoming more aware of the importance of eating food that is good for our bodies. Even with this knowledge, some of us do not know what that means and need some assistance. Nutritionists spend a lot of time studying to help those who are a bit lost in this area. You are not only going to help people feel better about themselves but also become healthier.

2. Social Worker

Perhaps one of the most admirable careers is one of the social workers. When you step into this career, you need to do it because you really care about helping others. If this is you, find out how a cover letter should look and apply to do the degree. If you are passionate about following this line of work, you are going to help a lot of people. Social workers do not always get the recognition that they deserve, but you are going to go home very proud of yourself.

3. Teacher

What would the world be without good teachers? We leave the future of tomorrow up to them and the faith that is bestowed upon teachers is amazing. All of these jobs require a level of passion, but this is one where you have to also love teaching others. It seems obvious, but people do not always think about it. If you love teaching and you want to help our society, this might be the best option for you.

4. Human Resources

If you still want to work for a large company, but you have a love for helping people, human resources is a great option. Start that new grad cover letter and be assured that it is worth it. Human resources do not only help the company, but also the employee which is a double dose of satisfaction.

5. Medical field

The list won’t be complete without adding this one. Doctors in all specialties are helpful to every living human being. Nurses are in the same category and it really depends on where you see yourself in the medical field. Without the help of doctors, we would have a much higher death rate, so it’s crucial that we continue to have new graduates.

Conclusion

You always want to follow your heart when it comes to everything that you do. Forget about the earning power and fancy building. Focus on where you see yourself in the future and look at these inspiring jobs. You want to come home happy after a long day and not bored or unsatisfied.

Positive Advice For My Younger Self

younger self

At some point in life, many people contemplate penning an autobiography. These memoirs usually describe life lessons – good or bad. In particular, they state how they might have fared better if only they knew better!

If you are one of those thinking individuals, you will dig such personalized narratives.  COX Internet plan, offering COX Internet speeds access a wide array of such narratives!

Coming Full Circle…

As a retired stock-market investor, I got lucky and inherited a sizeable portion of wealth from a deceased relation. I expanded it via Wall Street trading. A friend suggested me to write my own brief life report. I thought long & hard about something worthwhile and meaningful to write. Finally, I knew what I wanted to write about. I remembered when I first started out in the investment business. I was young and felt so lost. I wish someone had advised me then.

The complete chronicle is over 500 pages long. However, I am going to focus on the three different pointers. I believe these form the basis for each phase of anyone’s life – student, young professional, married with a family.

Before you enter professional life, first, go for TEFL course online. Choose certification to appear in the exams today. This will put you on the right track. Online education is cheaper than the traditional education. Furthermore, these are convenient especially when you are working.  These two are the main advantages of online learning. If you want to earn a degree or certificate, opt for online platforms.

Certification exams provide a measurement of knowledge and skills. When employers are looking to hire this is an important determining factor. It’s good to earn certificates in the field you are interested in. A differentiator to counter the competition. When you go for an interview, the competition is frequently stiff. If you have the certification, as compared to the other person, you have a definite edge.

It also shows to the employer that you are always eager to improve. Learning is a value in itself, and those around you will admire you for it.

1. Don’t Make the End Your Everything

When you are young, you are swaying between extremes of abject failure and worldly success. This is a significant concern when you are trying to prove yourself out there.

In the ‘pursuit of happiness’, you work hard to get through college. Then comes the search for a steady job. Over the years, you lose sight of the fast declining present. Your health, age, human relationships development & other life-experiences diminish.

This is certainly, what happened to me! I did end up achieving almost everything -impressive bank balances, million dollar estates, fine cars- and the usual bling. But, I also managed to miss out a lot.

If I could go back to my younger self, I would take off the ambition hat. I would stop and look around at the world too. I would travel, make more friends, and enjoy life. I would take better care of myself.

2. Be Patient with Money

When I started out as a young investor, I was impatient to increase financial gains fast. Only after losing money on several ill-timed mutual fund schemes, I learned to make more money.

My best investments, in hindsight, have been those that have remained fixed inside company’s shareholders’ vaults for at least a period of 10 years. The bad ones, I chose to liquidate into cash after a few short months.

In retrospect, I should have kept that money invested. Maybe then, I would have a Forbes multi-millionaires profile of my own!

3. Human Relations Are Real Life Investment

Having ambitions is not bad. Nevertheless, when you’re ruthlessly involved in making money, you lose sight of what’s important in life. You become completely indifferent to your family and friends.

To my astonishment, I later found that money alone could not guarantee my personal happiness.  Loneliness would still creep up as a stifling influence on my mind and emotions. I was lonelier than before! My solitary preoccupation with money broke up my marriage. It left my only child estranged from me. He could not stand a father devoid of all endearing emotion and expression.

Therefore, here’s my advice to my younger self, and all young people. Stay out of the rat race. Take a break occasionally. Do not neglect your loved ones even for a day. Because we all need human connections to survive & enjoy our fortunes with.

A final piece of advice for my younger self

There is no way around education. Continuing education is an investment of time & resources. It helps provide recognition for your specialized skill set and knowledge. When it comes to landing certain jobs and positions like teach English in China your level of education can be a significant benefit!

How To Start A Business Without A Written Guideline

business

Starting a business nowadays has become possible yet complicated at the same time. If you want to build a successful business starting from today, you have all that it takes to do it. You may not acknowledge it yet, however, the proper mindset will show you the proper path.

Knowledge and skills. These are the two primary components of a highly successful webmaster or entrepreneur. A business written guideline? That’s not necessary at all as long as you truly know what you’re doing.

In today’s post, we’re giving you several strategies, tips, and tricks that’ll improve your business startup performance. There are lots of smart people like you who get stuck in planning, strategizing, worrying, and living in the future. To stay productive while launching a business, your entire focus and efforts should be pointed towards the present moment.

1.    Start with True Passion

If you start your business with the wrong reason, you’re hardly going to make it. Most people tell you that “life’s not fair” and that you have to deal with it. However, each of us can decide how we want to live our lives, and that involves the decision of starting our own businesses in order to become financially independent.

But then, most entrepreneurs are trapped before they even begin. Obviously, we have to choose our business niche before starting. It becomes struggling the moment we choose the wrong business and the wrong purpose. Money, financial freedom, and financial wealth are not good enough reasons!

To be truly successful whether you follow a documented business guideline or not, you’ll need to have that passion in you. You’ll find the thing I’m talking about only if you continue looking. Don’t stop for a business idea that sounds “good”. It has to be amazing and perfect. Don’t worry, you’ll definitely know when it arrives!

2.    Acknowledge the Fast and Everchanging Marketplace

Comprehensive business plans are initially designed to help you balance your actions and stay focused. However, a written business guideline is always going to remain outdated. You can’t fully trust what you’ve established in the past because in the past the external conditions were different. If you were to make a decision today, you should carefully assume how the marketplace is doing, how your team is doing, how your actions went in the past, and what you can do best to ensure a positive effect.

3.    Assume Full Responsibility for Everything Around You

Great entrepreneurs become great because they’re responsible for everything that affects both themselves and their business. After all, a startup is a gathering of individuals that aim to achieve a specific purpose through collective effort. You are the leader of your own body and actions and you’re the leader of a company. That means full responsibility!

4.    Promise that You Won’t Stop Until You’re Successful

Make a promise that no matter what, you will not stop pursuing what you have started. There’s absolutely nothing more important than the final achievement. However, you’ll need to stay focused on the journey and less on the result.

As Jana Fardel, Co-Founder at one of the top rated resume writing service, in the US, suggests that “The way you think, act, behave, and work will heavily influence the result, of course, but the result is never the point. You listen to a song because you enjoy it and not because you’re waiting for the end of it.”

5.    Establish What You’re Going After and Be Specific

Not developing a written business guideline doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t establish the direction you’re heading to. Obviously, before you start the engine of your car you have to know where you’re going. Business start-ups are the same. Decide where you want to go, make that clear statement, assume responsibility, commit to staying consistent, and start taking action!

6.    Find Inspiration from Those Who Have Already Won

Everybody’s looking for shortcuts. Again, most people would say that shortcuts are making it even more difficult to succeed. Well, it really depends on what type of shortcuts we are talking about.

Success leaves clues. Therefore, you should start looking for inspiration, motivation, and ideas in other people’s work and achievements. Find someone who has already accomplished what you are trying to accomplish. Look at your competitors, see what they’re doing, put all the information together and learn from the patterns. Lastly, implement all the potentially positive ideas.

7.    Keep Track of Results and Optimize as You Go

Business success doesn’t simply show up and sits with you forever. The startup is the initial phase. Once your business is up and running, it’s essential to keep track of your results on a consistent basis. All the results, whether they’re failures or wins, ultimately mean one thing: feedback.

When something goes wrong, you should immediately identify the causal factor. The action/decision/thought that has influenced your outcome is the most important component that needs to be identified. The cause.

Every time you change the causal factor the results also change. That’s exactly why you should take advantage of different digital marketing analysis tools. Consistently keep track of your results and optimize all your thoughts, emotions, and actions according to all the meaningful feedback you receive.

Takeaways

Starting a business takes time, focus, and work. True work, indeed, as true success demands both hard and smart work. Following guidelines which were written yesterday is not an option. The marketplace changes, the people change, your chances change, and basically everything changes. When you take an action, you schedule a change. When you ignore a phone call, you have produced another change. Therefore, do your best right now, focus on what you have to do today, and never stop improving, so within a certain period you make add your achievements at top resume review and create your perfect CV.

How To Enjoy Your Wedding Day

wedding day

There are many standards and traditions when it comes to weddings. The dress should be white. The venue should be picturesque. The tablecloths need to go with the plates, which need to go with the flowers, which need to go with the bridesmaid dresses … The list goes on.

Getting caught up in the stress is natural when there are so many expectations, especially after you’ve spent months planning your big day. However, when the day finally arrives, it’s important to step back, take a deep breath, let go of potential mishaps, and enjoy your day.

Doing so can take quite a bit of work, but when you look back at your wedding day, you’ll remember how you felt. Though there will be a lot going on, preparing yourself to stay positive on your wedding day will ensure that you enjoy it.

Keep Your Priorities in Check

You have done all the planning. You have the perfect photographer, a conflict-free seating chart, and you’ve even hand printed the calligraphy on every invitation. You’ve personally attended to every detail, so it can be hard not to focus on them on the wedding day — but you have to stop yourself from doing that.

You can plan out down to the second, down to the smallest of details, and still, something will go wrong. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you won’t have a perfect wedding, it just means that you need to stay in the moment and let some of the mishaps slide.

To help you get through some of the moments when it’s difficult not to focus on the details, you can have a few phrases ready to help you focus on what’s important. You can try laughing at it and saying something like “c’est la vie”, or you can ignore it and go find something else to think about, like your new spouse or talking to some family members. It’s best to have a mental list of a few different phrases or options that you can turn to so that you can truly enjoy every moment.

Bridal Party Responsibilities

Even after you’ve prepared yourself for the fact that not everything will run smoothly, it’s impossible to be ignorant of any last-minute hiccups or sudden issues that come up. Yes, you should enjoy your day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t tend to these problems in some way.

You can make sure everything runs smoothly by assigning different members of the wedding party — or other trusted invitees — specific responsibilities to be in charge of. This can also make your wedding a more positive family get-together by making more people feel involved.

For example, you can assign one of your bridesmaids the job of making sure everything goes well with the catering. You can assign one of the groomsmen the job of making sure no one eats the cake before you have the first bite.

Whatever details you are worried could go wrong, assign them out to someone else so that you don’t need to worry about it on your day. Be sure to make a list of everything you can think of, assign them out, and choose one person to be the go-to for unforeseen issues so that you don’t have to worry about them.

Money Can’t Buy Everything

Unless you have that much money. Or at least a wealthy relative willing to grant your every-wedding-day desire. However, it is especially advised not to use a credit card to fund your wedding. The day should be about pronouncing your love for your new life partner and making lasting memories, not having a reception that will rival the Kardashian’s. Besides, having to pay back hundreds or thousands of dollars during your first months as a married couple can put a strain on what should be a happy time in your relationship.

Another reason to reevaluate your budget is that a higher budget may overshadow a happy marriage. The Hustle reported that couples who spend less than $1,000 on their wedding tend to have happier, lasting marriages. Of course, you should take this — and any other statistic that tries to predict future happiness — with a grain of salt.

If knowing this relieves some of the pressure you feel to have a perfect wedding, then it’s a sign that you shouldn’t worry about having an expensive, fairytale wedding. However, your wedding day is for you and your fiance, and as long as you put the health of your relationship and future happiness first, then do whatever the heck you want. Even if your new mother-in-law may not approve.

Weddings can be stressful, which is why preparing yourself mentally is just as important as buying your wedding dress. Rely on your family, focus on what’s happening in the present, and try to remain in a positive frame of mind as much as possible. With a little bit of preparation and a little bit of letting go, you can truly enjoy your wedding day.

How To Transform Negative Thoughts With Mindful Thinking

mindful thinking

Negative thoughts can have a devastating impact on all aspects of your life. Recognizing these thoughts is one way to change your relationship toward them. Transform negative thoughts with mindful thinking. Taking mindful steps can help you create some space between your thoughts and reactions. Cultivating mindfulness can help you identify and deal with negative thoughts, which leave you in self-doubt and shame, and embrace all that is good at the moment. At the core of each of us is a space that knows pure peace. But as negative thoughts seep in, we tend to be drawn away from it, and this results in trauma and stress. Here are a few ways in which negative thoughts impact our lives:

Anxiousness and Worry

Negative thinking can make you anxious about things that could or could not happen. You end up thinking nothing good can ever happen to you. Whether it is your health, a relationship, or even your career, you start worrying about things going downhill, and your performance starts deteriorating.

Stress and Lost Focus

All the anxiousness can only lead to stress. You start losing focus and build up a negative scenario in your head. And even though nothing has happened, you assume that everything is ruined.

Criticism and Self-Loathing

One clear pattern of negative thoughts is the need to criticize yourself and those around you constantly. You start becoming too harsh on yourself and focus on your weaknesses. All of this leads to low self-esteem and a lack of confidence.

Regret and Guilt

Finally, it builds regret and guilt based on the mistakes you made in the past. While there is nothing negative about reflecting on past experiences, you shouldn’t dwell on a situation with no intention to learn and move on. It leads to feelings of guilt and worthlessness due to wrong choices you feel you might have made.

The Role Of Mindful Thinking

Mindfulness is about being self-aware and present at the moment. It helps you think more deeply and more objectively. It lowers your stress levels and enhances your mood. In a way, mindful thinking stabilizes your emotional intelligence, making you calm amidst all the noise. The key impact of mindfulness is that it exerts a positive influence on the thinker and helps the person get a better insight into his/her life. Here’s how you can break your habitual negative responses with mindfulness.

  • Monitor Your Thoughts

To be free of negativity, you must become more aware of your thoughts. You can do this by paying more attention to what is going on inside your head at any given time.  Identify thought patterns that lead to negative thinking. This can help enhance your degree of awareness. Becoming mindful will help you take control of your thoughts and emotions, and not the other way around. Catch the negative thoughts as they arise, before they gain too much momentum.

  • Be Present In The Moment

Negative thoughts come mostly from dwelling in the past or worrying about the future. You can avoid this issue by being mindfully present in the moment. Avoid negative thoughts and direct your attention to all positive things. Discard any thoughts that don’t have anything to do with the situation you are currently in. Relax and release the thoughts of what happened and what could happen, and think about what is currently happening.

  • Constructive Thoughts

Spend your time in constructive thoughts. You need to decide if you want to dwell on thoughts that lead nowhere or those that can make your day more productive. Allow yourself to experience every moment fully and think about something constructive. Use your past experiences to learn and make decisions instead of dwelling on them.  Constructive thinking lets you be happy even when things are not going too well. It helps you put the problem in perspective and lets you deal with them practically.

When you are more mindful, you become less affected by negativity. Practice mindful thinking, and you will see how you transform those negative thoughts into positive ones. And, eventually, you will get into the habit of looking at every moment with a positive mindset.

Positive Words Research – How To Transform Negative Thoughts With Mindful Thinking

7 Tips: How to Stop Worrying

worrying

The biggest obstacle to a happy life is worrying. It can destroy your life personally and professionally.

Excessive worriers can face a host of physical problems like headaches, shortness of breath, dizziness, and irritability. The cause of various illnesses and diseases can also be attributed to worry.

If you are a constant worrier, here are some ways to abandon worry so that one can lead a happy life.

1. Identify the problem that is worrying you

On a sheet of paper, write down what is bothering you. For example, if you are worried about losing your job, write it down on a sheet of paper.

2. Is it real, or imaginary?

Mark Twain said, “My biggest problems never happened.” Sometimes, our worries are imaginary. We imagine almost everything that can go wrong and worry about it constantly.

Ask yourself, is it imaginary or real? If it is imaginary, let it go.

If it’s real, then make a list of all the possible solutions to the problem. Then, choose the most likely solution to solve your problem.

3. Don’t dwell on your mistakes

Every person makes mistakes. There is probably no person in the world who hasn’t made a mistake. Warren Buffett says he “learns from its mistakes, but doesn’t dwell on them”.

There is absolutely nothing you can do about the past.

When I was younger, I often dwelled on the past and wondered what I could’ve done differently. I now realize that it is a waste of time and energy dwelling on the past.

The life to be lived is in the future, not in the past.

The only thing you can change is your present and your future. The past cannot be changed. So there is no point dwelling on it. Instead, it’s better to spend that time and energy living in the present.

4. Don’t make things more difficult than they need to be

Many of us are conditioned to think that there are higher rewards for doing tasks that are more difficult. In school and college, it might be true. But in real life, the level of difficulty doesn’t always count.

We don’t necessarily get paid more because the job is difficult. It’s easy to get into a habit of making simple things more difficult.

If you are stuck in a career that isn’t paying you well, the answer may not be in working harder. Instead, you may want to consider a change in career. A career that is better paying and is in high demand.

Some professions pay more than others.

5. Plan your life but take one day at a time

Many of us may have 10, 20, or even 100 goals. But choose just five of those goals and ignore the rest. Once you achieve these five goals, only then you should think of achieving the others. Too many goals can distract you.

Once you set goals, make a plan to achieve them. It gives you focus and clarity.

But if thinking too far ahead makes you worry, then focus on getting through the day by setting smaller goals for each day and breaking up bigger tasks into smaller manageable parts.

6. One bad moment doesn’t have to ruin your entire day

Imagine you are having a great day, and suddenly, someone on the street verbally abuses you for no reason. You can choose to hit back and ruin your entire day, or you can let it go, and move on.

Ask yourself, “Is this issue too big of a deal for me to ruin my entire day?” The answer to most of those questions is ‘NO.’

7. Seek the services of a professional to stop worrying

Sometimes, we may not be able to solve problems ourselves. In those situations, it might be prudent to hire the services of a wellness professional.

Conclusion

Sometimes, reducing worry to manageable levels may require only a few minor tweaks in the way one thinks. It is not as hard as many people think. It is possible to stop worrying and lead a happy life, irrespective of one’s situation.

Positive Words Research – 7 Tips: How to Stop Worrying

6 Easy Ways To Boost Your Personal Efficiency

personal efficiency

We all want to become better, that’s for sure. I bet you’re reading this line because your pursuit of excellence has led you to me. Now that we’ve met, I’d like to propose the following:

My work is different – I’m not a guru, I’m not here to improve you, and I’m not here to make you believe something. I am here because I’m the bird who sings its song without any expectations. If you care to stop and listen to me, you do so because you appreciate the beauty of the song.

Becoming a superhuman or improving your personal efficiency up to skyrocketing levels requires you to do stuff.

As far as I see it, there are several primordial aspects that one must assume and acknowledge before working on complicated aspects.

Here are 6 things you truly need to consider and apply if you really want to create long-lasting change in your personal efficiency. Start small but aim high.

1.    Meditation

First of all, you must understand what meditation really is. There’s a lot of mumbo-jumbo everywhere around the internet, so many of us don’t really understand what true meditation is.

Meditation is a state, not an activity that you must schedule. We are meditating every time we silence our thoughts and engage in the present moment. It is THAT simple.

As Mark Farley, the founder of a popular assignment help enterprise suggests, “All you have to do is start observing what’s going on around you and your body. Use your eyes as tools for vision, your nose as a tool for smelling, your ears as a tool for sound, and activate all your other senses like touch, emotions, and vibration.”

I would add an important remark…

Don’t focus on removing the thoughts. Many people make a true effort to stop their thoughts on command. That’s a trap that leads you nowhere. Instead, focus on your senses and on “now”.

2.    Knowledge of personal efficiency

“Knowledge is power” – you’ve heard it, I heard it, and our neighbors must have heard it too. It has a different meaning for each of us, yet for the wise ones, knowledge is everything.

At one point or another, you’ll understand this statement better, and it will mark the beginning of a new stage in your life.

Life’s all about lessons and growth. The moment you stop, you stop fueling what keeps you alive. For example, do you fail to do something in life? Do you fail to be disciplined or to stick to your goals? It means you do not have sufficient knowledge on how to remove the bad beliefs & habits. It means that you don’t have the “weapons” to fight back. When you embrace the knowledge that’s sitting up for grabs, your life will immediately change and your personal efficiency will boost.

3.    Harmony

Let me ask you a question. Do you live in harmony with yourself?

Simply put…Do you feel what you think?

Or…do you do what you feel?

Or…do you do what you think and feel?

Here’s the simple definition of love/balance/freedom/harmony:

Thoughts + Emotions + Actions. If they are aligned, there will be harmony. If they’re not aligned, there will be suffering.

Right now, most of us experience an internal anarchy because our thoughts, emotions, and actions are in disharmony.

You can get out of this state by simply becoming the ruler of your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Become sovereign and an internal monarch of your world and you’ll be happy and free.

4.    Self-Discovery

There are many points in life when our needs completely change. We first desire to achieve material abundance. Money, fame, power, status…that’s the standard. But then, we will hardly be delighted by the things that we’ve accomplished.

We’ll start seeking other types of experiences. We’ll start studying literature, art, history, and so on. But once we’re done with that, the process repeats.

Eventually and hopefully, we’ll start seeking true knowledge, which is the knowledge of the self. We will realize that we had it all, right here, in our own minds.

5.    Intention

They call it the law of attraction. Simply put, what you intend to happen, it will eventually happen. However, it will hardly happen if your thoughts, emotions, and actions are not sitting in balance, because you actually need to take action to develop new things here, on the physical plane.

How can you change any procrastination state, laziness, belief?

You start with the intention first. You start caring about the thing that you want to happen. Once you know and visualize what will happen, start taking action!

6.    Attachment

Don’t become attached to anything – people, feelings, thoughts, objects, states…they’re all going to trap you.

According to Buddha, the attachment is the root of all evil and the biggest block to self-realization, and that’s become when you conclude something, you make it real, and it will eventually impact you in the future.

If there are no conclusions, every experience will feel like “new”. The past represents our illusions of what happened while the future represents the illusion of what will happen. The present moment is the only thing that matters. Stay there and your attachments will soon go away.

Takeaways

So, as you may notice, there are many powerful actions you can take to arrive where you want. If you care, save this post somewhere on your desktop and keep revisiting it every now and then. Reflect on the topics discussed here and try to see the bigger picture.

Lastly, remember to keep it simple. After all, we’re all playing our individual game. Once you realize that what you’re doing is simply playing, your fear will suddenly vanish and there will be no more irrelevant suffering. You will be free and ready to conquer your world.
