Positive Affirmations To Appreciate Men

appreciate menToday it’s the celebration called “Dragobete” in my country. To celebrate this day I decided to write an article with positive affirmations to appreciate men.

Dragobete is a traditional Romanian holiday celebrated on February 24. Dragobete was the son of Baba Dochia, which stands for the main character in the pagan myth related to spring arrival and the end of the harsh winter. Due to his endless kindness, he was chosen – according to some sources, by Virgin Mary – to be the Guardian of Love. The day is particularly known as “the day when the birds are betrothed”. It is around this time that the birds begin to build their nests and mate. On this day, considered locally the first day of spring, boys and girls gather vernal flowers and sing together. Those who take part in Dragobete customs are supposed to be protected from illness, especially fevers, for the rest of the year. If the weather allows, girls and boys pick snowdrops or other early spring plants for the person they are courting. In the countryside, there is an old tradition with girls and boys going into the woods to pick flowers. When they return home, the traditions says that boys were running after girls to kiss them. If the girl liked the boy she lets him kiss her. There is a saying in Romania that makes a lot of sense regarding this: “Dragobete kisses the girls”.

Opportunity for joy and well-being, Dragobetele is one of the most beautiful ancient customs of the Romanian people. It is also mandatory that Dragobete men be in cordial relations with females. Men are not allowed to annoy women nor to engage in a quarrel, otherwise, they will have an unlucky spring and a year not favorable. In general, both boys and girls have a duty to rejoice in this day so that they can enjoy the love with the opposite sex the entire year. I write this article with positive affirmations to appreciate men with the intention to enjoy Love with the opposite sex, men in my case, the entire year. Therefore here are the positive affirmations to appreciate men that I thought and that I share with you.

Positive Affirmations To Appreciate Men

I appreciate my father from all my heart. I appreciate my father for conceiving me and providing for me in so many ways, so many years. Thank you, father.

I appreciate my brother with all the Love I am capable of. I appreciate my brother for the joy he brought into my life, so many years, in so many moments. Brother thank you for being the person that makes me laugh the most in this life. You made me laugh so many times, healing my soul and therefore also healing my body.

I appreciate all men that live today on the Planet Earth. I appreciate all men that have ever lived from the beginning of time and until now. Thank you for your presence, work, efforts, and energy. You are Loved. You are all Loved.

As Rori Raye says and I agree with her statement:

“The truth is  – men are loyal, brave and strong. Men have a tremendous capacity to love, commit, nurture, cherish, understand, support and be there for us.”

I thank you for your thinking. I thank you for your strength. I respect you for your thinking. I respect you for your strength.

I appreciate all men that ever lived and the ones that are alive now, for the time and efforts they put in handling things and cherishing the feelings of the people around them.

I respect the masculine energy of a man for the amazing ability to organize, figure things out, achieving things, winning victories.

I appreciate and respect all the actions of men that they did, do and will do.

I send gratitude into the Universe for all the battles that every man fought in. I respect men for all the battles that they took, take or will take in the future.

It is said that as a woman you should welcome a man as if he was in a war the entire day. It is said that a man feels every day like he is in a war, he feels like he is in a constant battle. From this point of view, the woman should welcome the man like the Sunshine and show him that there is Light, Ease and Joy, besides war, battles, and struggle.

Therefore I send from my heart appreciation and gratitude for all the wars that men fought in. I send from my heart Light and Ease for all the battles and struggle that all men have gone, are going and will go through.

I forgive masculine energy for everything. I forgive masculine energy for every situation where it was considered or believed that it was hurting the feminine energy. There is much Love between the two. We love each other dearly.

Dear man, I really appreciate you. Thank you for listening so many times to me. Thank you for making me feel loved in so many moments. Thank you for being my protector. Thank you for being my provider. Thank you for taking good care of me. Thank you for making me happy. Thank you for making me laugh so many times.

Dear man, you are full of energy. You are overflowing with joy. You can achieve greatness. You can win your victory. Your body is healthy. Your mind is brilliant. Your soul is tranquil. I believe you can do anything. Everything that is happening now is happening for your ultimate goal. You love and accept yourself for who you are. You forgive those who have harmed you in the past and detach peacefully from them. Your ability to conquer your challenges is limitless. Your potential to succeed is infinite.

I am proud of you. I respect, trust, support and appreciate you. You are blessed.

It is my strong belief that men make our life more beautiful, more alive, more full. Men bring more fullness into our lives.

How To Practice Gratitude And Benefit From Its Magic

How To Practice Gratitude And Benefit From Its Magic

“Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

This is a famous quote from a famous book, the Bible, Matthew 13:12.

Gratitude is a practice, a skill. It means to retake knowledge of certain things that you are enjoying or you have enjoyed. It is the ability to be aware by choice.

Dear readers of Positive Words Research, I will show you the power and magic of gratitude from the light of two aspects:

1.)   How I’ve discovered the power and magic of gratitude

Since 17 years old I write my thoughts. At the beginning I wrote on paper, filling many notebooks. Then I’ve written my thoughts in Word and further on various blogs. After some years I started reading my past writings. I saw that I have written about beautiful things but also a lot about tensioned moments in my life. There were a lot of pages filled with negative emotions such as anger, sadness, even grief, and depression on some pages, disappointment, powerlessness, and even self-hate. While reading these pages written by the younger me, I noticed something. Every time my younger me felt some relief, some light, some hope it was in the moments I was being thankful for something.

On every page full of tension there were one or two sentences where I was saying something like:

  • Yes, but I am thankful that I got into faculty;
  • Yes, but I am grateful that I have a cat;
  • Yes, but I am grateful that I have a job;
  • Yes, but I am thankful that I was promoted;
  • Yes, but I am grateful that even if I couldn’t spend Christmas with my parents and brother, because of all the arguing and fights in my family, I got to spend a lovely Christmas with the family of my best friend;

I realized that I was practicing gratitude unconsciously. Currently, I am of the opinion that every human being is practicing gratitude to some degree. One can not live a human life without practicing some kind of being grateful. But, you either practice gratitude:

  1. unconsciously, in a small way or bigger way, depending on your inheritance and education, or;
  2. consciously, in a small way or bigger way, depending on your awareness and power of choice.

I started practicing gratitude consciously during 2012. The stepping stone in my transition was the book The Magic written by Rhonda Byrne. Through this book Rhonda taught me why gratitude matters and how to practice it.

To make a beautiful note: while practicing some exercises from the book, I’ve arrived on the website TheFreeDictionary.com, clicked on the related words of the word gratitude and discovered the world of positive words. This stepping stone drove me to start making this website, Positive Words Research.

Rhonda starts her book with a quote: “Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”. Yes, it is the same quote as above. She says that the meaning of this quote is better understood when you read it like this:

“Whoever has gratitude will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

This makes me think of a Romanian old saying:

“To the ungrateful one, life takes back the gift that was given.”

Gratitude is the land on which all other positive emotions will flourish. To benefit on long-term of positive emotions, practice gratitude.

2.)   5 Examples of how I practice gratitude

  1. The gratitude rock. I took a small stone that looked interesting to me. I am placing this stone in places where I can easily bump into her: in my pocket, on the table near my bed or near the flowing tap water in my house. Every time I see the gratitude rock I make myself think of something I am grateful for. Sometimes I think of more things I am grateful for in my life.
  2. The gratitude exercises before falling asleep. After going to sleep and before falling asleep I think of nine things I am grateful for that happened that day: 3 related to myself, 3 related to events during the day and 3 related to the work I do in my job. After remembering all these nine aspects, I choose the best thing that happened to me that day.
  3. Writing appreciations on paper. I write appreciations and gratitudes on paper for every aspect of my life. I do this exercise especially for the tensioned things in my life. It could be a memory, an event that happened recently or I feel some tension towards a person.
  4. I bless and thank every object around me. I pick a moment during the day and whatever is around me I say thanks to it.
  5. While I walk I pick a moment and for every step that I make I say thank you.

In conclusion, I want you to remember two aspects:
1. Practice gratitude for tensioned things in your life; write a list of ten appreciations for the memory, event or person for whom you feel tension;
2. Practice gratitude to benefit on long-term of positive emotions.

 “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others.” ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero

This Week’s Positive Word is APPRECIATION

Monday’s Motivational Blog

A is for Appreciation

‘Appreciation will lead to more things to appreciate in your life’

Victoria J.Brown

When you woke up this morning, what were your first thoughts? Did you want to get out of bed? Did you think about appreciating the fact that you could actually get out of bed? Did you appreciate that you are alive and living in this precious wonderful world?

Many people don’t wake with these thoughts. The reason many people are unhappy in their lives is because they want MORE! And that’s ok … it’s okay to want more from life, to want to strive ahead and make a better life for yourself and your family. It’s great to have that determination. But if you appreciate how far you’ve come, you will go further.

Before I was introduced to the Law of Attraction, which was many, many years ago, I was a ‘glass half-empty’ type of girl, those days are long gone, in fact, I can’t even remember that girl. Now I’m more than a ‘glass half-full’ girlie … I’m a ‘glass half-full looking for people who are thirsty,’ girlie.

Emotions and feelings are the keys to having a better life. Being unappreciative of your current situation could lead to a worse situation. You may think, ‘but I do appreciate my life, I just want more.’ As I said above, this is ok, to want more is healthy, but when was the last time you actually looked at you and felt truly grateful. How often do you look at your life and feel deep appreciation? True appreciation is a blessing.

THERE’S ALWAYS SOMETHING TO APPRECIATE!

Here’s an exercise for you:

Sit down, breathe deeply and relax (in a quiet space where you can’t be disturbed)

Now imagine the following:

Your life without your loved ones

No roof over your head

Being so hungry and not knowing where the next piece of food is coming from.

Now, APPRECIATE all the things you have in your life that you don’t want to lose.

Put your hands together and really feel true appreciation from your heart.

Say aloud, ‘Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.’

When I first started learning about the Law of Attraction, I realised that I didn’t appreciate my life enough. Now, I appreciate everything in my life and I constantly say ‘thank you’.

A good exercise is to write down daily 10 things you are grateful for, 10 things you appreciate in your life. Even if you hate your job, you should appreciate that you have a job and that you are able to work. Start looking at the things in your life that you don’t like and turn it around. What can you appreciate about it?

Do this every day until your appreciation becomes second nature, saying ‘thank you’ and appreciating your life is a way of life for you.
